Review Pranzo - Adelaide

Absolutely amazing little cafe tucked away in the heart of the CBD! Beautifully remodelled by their incredible venue manager Carmen, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere creates an authentic old-school Italian feel with a zesty modern twist.

If we could give Aaron and his team at Pranzo a thousand stars we would !! With the cancellation of our wedding on the emergency COVID lockdown we were devastated but then we were introduced to Aaron by our caterer to hold an intimate reception 2 weeks later and we will be forever grateful. Nothing was too much to ask with the preparation and on the day the atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing. Please support Pranzo, you will not be disappointed !

Awesome lunch not just because of the wonderful company but because the food was great and the service impeccable. I had the past special with beautiful handmade pasta and creamy scallops and pancetta sauce. My friends enjoyed their meals but unfortunately I couldn’t stay for coffee when they did.

Been here a couple of times for lunch now - great variety on the menu, enjoyed my meals very much, lovely coffee, and quick and friendly service. Thoroughly recommended!

Decent venue, however, I got a pizza and the base felt lacking. Seems like a great place for a proper meal during working hours, or to occassionally hold a meeting. Not exactly a noteworthy place beside location when it comes to the CBD, though.

Amazing lunch! The truffled cauliflower soup and the peppercorn pork were unbelievably amazing. I recommend this 100%

Pranzo is a bit of an institution and I love it. Anna and Aaron are delightful hosts and their team are on point. I go there often, and I mean very often. Mostly just for coffee which is some of the best in the city and not often enough for lunch or breakfast. The food is modern Italian and is fantastical tasty and generous and so yummy! My favourite place in the city by far. Good for business meetings, relaxing lunch, events, the lot really.

They have amazing coffee. Had a triple shot latte. Amazing!

Amazing staff, food and love and passion for what they do I can't think of anywhere else I would go business or pleasure They have a very interesting wine selection, quality of food we had and the warm welcoming, the price is reasonable. Worthy of 5 stars love this place.

Just had coffee and breakfast here for the first time and was welcomed in with a great smile and wonderful service and superlative food. It's great to see service is not dead- I'm in retail so am often unimpressed these days with people's lack of attention to detail. I highly recommend this place- you won't be disappointed and I'll certainly be coming back!

Absolutely Amazing! Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious fresh food in a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Great staff, good coffee and really good breakfast. Better have an appetite when you go.

Even though the food is exceptional, the best thing about Pranzo's is actually the staff... welcoming, charming, witty and uber professional all at once. Pranzo's is one of Adelaide's greatest. Greatest what? You be the judge...

Great food, great people, great place! Menus always include new styles and ideas. Fantastic selection of wines and a beer on tap! Complete completeness...completely!

I was on holiday from Canada and was lucky enough to be introduced to this gem and Terry on my third day. I came back and every time the food was divine, the coffee perfect and the service made you feel like an old friend. It's true...they really do have the best poached eggs in Adelaide! ~Ashley

Welcoming staff on your arrival, wonderful food with a relaxing atmosphere.

First time at Pranzo yesterday and could not fault the food or service. Was present for a Christmas lunch and the staff had the good grace to allow us a little fun and even join in. A huge thank you to the Pranzo team!!
Edward Rogers
Some of the best food I've ever had. Love it
John Kevin Kiama
Best place of business meetings in the city. The service is above board.

But pity about grilled octopus. Rather scarce in fact.

Best Coffee and food in Adelaide ;-) Perfect location - a hidden gem when visiting.

Do yourself a favour & try the new fried egg bruschetta at Pranzo. And when they ask to substitute the bruschetta for polenta....say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FRIED EGG BRUSCHETTA chorizo, baked beans, scamorza, rocket

Worst omelette ever - rubbery oily & tasteless...also expensive for the size - 2 eggs? I didn’t know one could mess up an omelette - especially at that price . Hopefully they’ll lift their game

Got this place on discount through eat club. This is actually quite an expensive place with a vibe where only business people come in for a light snack and a wine. Understaffed for sure at the tables and was alittle frustrating.

Got myself a chorizo rissoto and a riggatoni for the queen, witha latte and bread. The latte was good and strong, the bread was a mediocre two slices with a jar of... Olive oil 🤔🤦‍♂️. Not sure if I was missing something but bread and oil was not a good combination.
The rigatoni was okay, not perfectly flavored, but a well cooked meat in it.
The risotto on the other had a good spice content with a good chorizo, but the rissotto rice wasn't cooked enough and felt like rice;not silky and creamy.

A pricy spot, good ambience. Head there for the name, not for the food.

The new owners are awesome. They've updated the interior a bit with more to follow.

The service is still amazing mostly because the guys are still there.

Anna is beautiful and always makes me feel loved.

The food is great. Better than ever.

The wine list for me is problematic. However they always make me try something new and I always like it!

Best pizza ive had in years! The base was perfectly cooked, with amazing taste. The pasta was delicious as well, the service and atmosphere was great. Staff were great and very friendly. Will definitely be back! The breakfast here is also amazing! Never had a breakfast pizza but I was so impressed with mine, the quail was tender and my girlfriends meal was very impressive also, both us girls can't wait to come back again for breakfast and a dinner! :)

Pranzo is a fabulous little restaurant with warm staff, excellent wine selection and delicious pastas. I try to dine here every time I visit Adelaide.

Pranzo is an Adelaide institution located along the Exchange Place thoroughfare. It’s an eatery where the who’s who of Adelaide normally frequent, made up of business, media and political identities. The menu is modern Italian with a compact selection of entrees, pizza, pasta, risotto, mains and dessert. They also have a constantly changing specials menu which is ideal for the regulars who want something different. Their wine list strongly supports local producers with the addition of international wines to compliment your dining experience.

I have been a frequent "Pranzo lunchboxer" for years now. They are the BEST!! Extremely good value for $16.90 and the quality and price have never changed!! You CANNOT go past the crab pasta, this is definitely one of the if not the best in Adelaide. I order the crab pasta anywhere it's on the menu and nothing has topped pranzo's! The same fresh quality everytime!! And I love the new loyalty card where you get the 11th lunchbox free!!! I have told many of my family and friends about the lunchbox and they're hooked too!! Kudos to Pranzo!! Well done guys :-)

Fantastic service - treat everyone like a friend. Great breakfasts if you have time before work. I've also had lunch there and coffee too many times to count. I wish wish wish pranzos was open in the evenings or on weekends.

Fantastic French Toast. I dined here recently with a friend, and tried my first ever serve of french toast. That's right, I had never indulged in this fine breakfast item. Pranzo certainly set the bar with their interpretation, which included grilled banana and lemon curd. Be it small, their menu is good and they even have creative takeaway lunch boxes for those on the run. I'm looking forward to giving the risotto a go.

Bravo Pranzo!. Solid Italian cuisine backed by even better coffee and capable staff. Doesn't get any simpler! Well done guys. Will be back for sure!

Great atmosphere, great staff and beautiful food. The creme brûlée is delectable

I was encouraged by a colleague to try the lasagna. Definitely a good choice. Though the fish stew also looked wonderful. Friendly staff and we'll above average Italian food.

Great service. Great food (especially the pasta). Large portions of very tasty brilliance. Will defiantly be returning soon.

Food was excellent. Best macchiato ive had in a long time. Despite the fab food and drink, the experience was tarnished by the waiters who were cocky and pretentious. We were surprised after some positive recommendations. What a shame. Can't be bothered going back.

Must try for anyone who works in the city!. Pranzo's is my go-to spot in the city for a special breakfast or lunch. Their coffee is great and if you have the time to sit down to breakfast I definitely recommend it, the poached eggs in napoletana sauce are delicious. For lunch, the veal ragu, swimmer crab taglierini and black truffle risotto are my top picks but if you don't have time to dine in you can't go wrong with their takeaway options. "Pranzos at your desk" comes with your choice of main plus a side salad and drink all wrapped up in a neat little box. The staff are always lovely and attentive and they have a great selection of wine as well.

Lovely spot to watch the world going past! Service was delightful & food was nearly all perfect for 4 of us, except for the breakfast pizza which I found a bit bland. Coffees ok - we're from Melbourne, so have high standards & we're pretty happy when we left.

Good weekday breakfast.. Opens nice & early at 7am for those pre-work meetings. Great service, excellent coffee, high quality food. Well done guys. Will have to try the breakfast pizza next time.

Lunch-time delight. My office bookclub ordered our lunch from Pranzo. I got the crab pasta at the recommendation of my colleagues. The meal, salad and bread was packaged in sophisticated-looking boxes with quirky bamboo/wooden cutlery. The pasta dish was delicious with a healthy ratio of crab to pasta, salad was fresh and crispy and I am sure the bread was made on the day because it was delicious! The meal size was just right. I am very impressed.

Tad precious?. This is a good restaurant, it could be a great restaurant. We sat at an unreserved table by the window and were promptly moved to a table at the back as the table we had chosen was apparently booked. Within minutes, a couple arrived, announced they had no reservation and were seated at our original table. They were wearing suits,we weren't, though we were smart casual. Draw your own conclusion. The service was attentive and the food was good. Suggestions: pour the glass of wine at the table so we can see the bottle. Offer a selection of wines by the glass, including some Australian wines and show them on the menu, not only the blackboard (which we couldn't see from our table). Put salt and pepper on the table.

Excellent coffee, which until a recent discovery I rated as the best in Adelaide. I've only eaten there once but the veal ragu pasta I had was exceptionally good. Great lunch spot if you have the luxury of a long lunch. Try the coffee. You won't regret it.

Long lunch. Excellent place for a business lunch. can not fault the place.
Casual SA Diner
Always a good experience. Excellent service. Beers always changing. Smiling, confident & friendly yet efficient staff. Will be going back again and again.

Scrummy and such attentive service! Just wish it was open at night. Make sure you book as it is very busy

Fabulous. The blue swimmer crab pasta is possibly the best pasta dish I've ever had in my entire life. Attentive and friendly service, without being overbearing. Great wine recommendation. Will be back.

Good Breakfast. I've had b'fast there a number of times and always been satisfied. Coffee is good, food is excellent and service is always prompt.

Beautiful breakfast. My girlfriends and I are regulars at Pranzo for breakfast, and I could not recommended it more highly. The service is wonderful, food is not cheap but is always good and being there just starts the day off in the best way. Nothing is too much trouble for the wait staff, and they have amazing memories. Small touches make breaky there a special occasion, and people watching can be interesting!

No better place for lunch. Pranzo is pretty much our day time local. Whether I meet clients for coffee, have a team lunch or business function, the reception and service is always impeccable. The food is beautiful, no doubt there. The best thing however, is that people remember you, Bringing clients in for lunch, Abdul will welcome you and your guest with grandeur, by simply asking: "And who is your guest today?", putting their best scatiata in the table and choosing a fitting wine for you. I have won deals here.

Excellent food and great service. We often have breakfast and it's always lovely. If you want an excellent place for a business lunch try Pranzo. By the way, the other plus is they do good coffee.

My next stop after Sydney was Adelaide, where my sister was studying at Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College campus. When it comes to food, Adelaide was a lot less exciting compared to Sydney, but we managed to find a couple of hidden gems. First stop- brunch at an Italian restaurant called Pranzo in the city centre (hence all the diners were wearing suits). My sister walked past this restaurant everyday to school but has never tried it (probably because it is quite pricey). We decided to order from the breakfast menu since it is significantly cheaper. My sister had a cappuccino and I had a flat white. Both were very good, and I especially liked the presentation of the cappuccino (picture on right). Poached eggs on house made brioche with hollandaise and grilled bacon ($14.9 AUD) sounded divine, and we were fairly happy with our choice. The egg was poached perfectly with a golden runny yolk, but the bacon and the hollandaise together were a little too salty for me. However, this would be a

Pranzo is a restaurant with good table service in comfortable surroundings. There is choice of seating inside and outside the restaurant. Yahoo babelfish tells me that "Pranzo" is Italian for lunch. The "mug" of hot chocolate is served in a bowl. The only
