Review Cafe Pellegrini - Adelaide

Located on a corner block, the restaurant is small inside but outside seating is comfortable and not too noisy (from traffic). The food is mid $20 -30 for most mains but the portion sizes are huge! Good selection of local SA wine all by the glass. Nice staff too

A delightful and relaxing environment to sit and enjoy your morning breakfast. Customer service was friendly and attentive with my order served promptly. I was truly amazed at the serving size of Bacon and Poached Eggs! 3 slices of toast which was light and yet full of flavour with Devondale butter portions. Plenty of Bacon and a large Tomato cut in half, with a char grilled flavour. Pot of English Breakfast Tea was hot and served with extra sugar as requested. I look forward to trying a Pizza (their specialty). Check the boards above the counter for daily specials. A good selection of cakes are also on offer. Inside has soft bench seating or padded chairs, very comfortable. There are many tables outside to choose from. Wheelchair ♿ access is only available outside as both entries have small stairs. Parking available on Barton Terrace East or Childers Street. I highly recommend you visit next time you head into the city, stop at Pellegrini's first!!

Burgers were amazing and the Salt & Pepper Calamari was cooked to perfection. Thank you for the lovely meal.

Cosy cafe in North Adelaide. Friendly staff, good food and generous serving. We really enjoyed our burger and pasta, the chunky sweet potato chips served with our burger were the best I ever had. If you were schnitzel lovers, their giant schnitzel is for you. Nice coffee and cake is the best way to finish off.

The best large schnitzels in town! Staff are friendly and the food is tasty with really good prices.

One of the best schnitzels I’ve ever had. Chicken was crispy, tender with just the right amount of flavour without overpowering the rest of the food, creating a nice balance for the palate. Family friendly cosy atmosphere with good service and friendly staff. Would 100% recommend

Okay cafe to eat... do not ever order the waffles though. They look lovely albeit you will need to order a chainsaw in advance if you wish to actually eat the waffles. The berries from the berry-waffle is actually just reheated berries, they are not reheated berries which is a massive disappointment. The fresh cream was nice though and expected from an establishment in a upper class suburb. The largest avail pizza - no complaints per usual. Fed 4 people and we all wanted more food. Sub-par overall.

Never ever disappointed with the food & service. Last night's 50th Birthday celebration was made even the better by the excellent service by the waiting staff & staff behind the counter. Atmosphere is intimate & friendly and the staff cannot do enough to make your experience memorable.

Our favourite place for a bite on the way to Adelaide oval for the footy, a perfecto pizza after, or great Sunday brunch! Great food, wine, coffee and friendly service. That's why we keep going back!

Not a place I will be going back to. Food was very average. Both the veal "medallions " meals were veal minute steaks meals. A veal medallion is roughly 1cm thick, soft, juicy, tender. Not 2mm thick, partially broiled and tough. Service was average. No salt & pepper on table and waitress had to be asked twice to get it. Waitresses - you need to actually put the dishes down in front of the customer - not pass it across other customers and expect them to take it from you - bad lazy practice - especially with coffees !! There was plenty of room to walk around the table to do this. I had an Entertainment Book voucher and luckily I did because I am glad I didn't get ripped off paying full price !! Not impressed at all.

iced coffee, awesome as. best ive actually bought from anywhere. especially since it had caramel fudge or something in it. made it loads better. croissant, well didnt look like croissant, but it sure tasted damn good. staff were good, though i dont know why being apologetic for taking time needed to make food, but nice to know they are being thoughtful and mindful of customers. no need to apologise for taking time in making great tasting food. people should expect great food to be made properly and with needed time. :).

Service incredibly poor waited 40 minutes for breakfast and when questioned they hadn’t even started making it other people coming in after us and getting served their breakfast waited 30 minutes just for coffee alone and had to follow that up too customer service was poor also have come across the road to cafe palazzo polar opposite in customer service 10 minute wait for breakfast

I could not believe how the staff reacted when advising them of their poor food standards. They just could not care less and instead insulted my friend. I dined here based on the fact of their food menu. Biggest mistake. Never again

We turned up at 10.30pm after a theatre show, all hungry and hoping somebody would cook us some" real food" at this late hour. Cafe Pellegrini didnt let us down, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming. A lovely place with wonderful staff

My husband and I had lunch here before our movie. This was our first visit. I had a Pollo Macadamia Galliano and he had a Pollo Roulade. We had two glasses of Skilligalee wine. The service was not good. We received our meals before our wine and we also asked for water and did not get it until I asked again. We also had to ask for bread to go with our meal. The meal itself was very bland. The vegetables very lack luster. The bread was not fresh. Serves were very generous but I would prefer better cooked food. To be fair the waitress did offer us an upgrade on our coffee from cups to mugs which we accepted. At $75.00 total for the meal we were disappointed.

Absolutely love this place! Eat here often and the food and coffee is always great. We had a Mothers Day breakfast for 15 people there yesterday - food came out quickly, very generous portions and everyone loved their meals.

We've been here many times over the years and it is one of the very few restaurants that consistently serve high quality meals. It was also one of the very few restaurants in North Adelaide that still had their kitchen open after play finished for the day/night test match. Would definitely recommend!!

Everytime I go to Pellegrini the staff are wonderful! The food is great and even better, the coffee is delicious! Nothing better than stopping in for a late night snack on my way into the city. Love it!
