I finally had a chance to visit on a day off and received speedy service, most likely due to the lack of workers in town at the moment. This place is regularly packed, meaning I've never been able to risk lining up to get some grub and consume it within my lunch break. As hoped, their banh mi is of a high standard, and they are generous with fillings. I also found the quality of bread roll particularly good. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of egg. Staff are full of smiles and energy.
Awesome Vietnamese food in Adelaide. You can find the best Vietnamese bread rolls with amazing roast pork here. They also provide other Vietnamese usual suspects like salad bowls and cold rolls. Always a long queue at lunch time.
Hands down to the best Vietnamese bread roll in Adelaide! This has always been my fave lunch spot and there’s always a big cue although it moves pretty quick! Bread rolls range from $7 for chicken and $7.50 for roast pork. My go to is the lemongrass chicken but if I’m feeling like I should spoil myself I’ll go for the roast pork. The roast port is just packed with flavours and has really crunchy cracklings! They also jam pack your roll with lots of meat! Definitely worth it for $7! They also offer noodle salads or just salads with your choice of protein. I love getting this when the weather is a bit warmer and again it’s packed filled with meats! It’s quite heavy when you hold it!
I use to live near Woodville where there are lots of Vietnamese bread rolls around, but I can tell you Miss Mai is definitely the best! The only thing I can fault is that they’re not opened during the weekends which means when I crave a nice Vietnamese bread roll I’ll need to wait until Monday because I don’t want to be disappointed by bread rolls that don’t hit the Miss Mai standard! 😋
Good place to pick up lunch. Big fan of Vietnamese food now.
Plenty of vegetarian options.
Salad bowl with rice noodles my favourite with tofu or spring roll on top plus some red chilli. Nothing like it.
Don't be put off by the long lineup - it moves pretty fast. Ordered a roast pork banh mi and it was delicious! Jam packed with melt in your mouth pork with a decent amount of veggies to go with it - great value for money. The bread itself was pretty nice as well.
Best viet food in town. Satisfying amount of meat served in bread rolls and salads! Though it might be a bit hard to find a place to sit down at lunch time. There are just so many customers!
OMG!! They are sooo good! I get a roast pork salad bowl several times a week. Plenty of everything and the meat is always lovely and fresh and lots of yummy crackle! Friendly staff. The line can be long at times but moves quite quickly.
after reading all of the reviews and knowing i would be near there the next day, i decided to give them a go. i'm glad i did. the hot roast pork rolls (Banh Mi) looked delicious but i had an appointment to go to so i had to choose the rice paper rolls, to eat later. i got lemongrass chicken. i was surprised that it was dark meat, i thought it would be white. next time i will choose prawn rolls. but there was a very generous amount of the chicken and it was fresh, tender and juicy, the veges very fresh. the staff were lovely. it was a great value healthy, low fat meal. the service was fast.
Love the bun bowls here. The salad bowl is packed - no skimping on meat. I go here at least twice a week for my Vietnamese food fix. Highly recommended!
Great Bun bowls, always filled to the brim. The do not skimp on meat or leave you feeling like you didn't get your money's worth. Their Banh Mi's are also fantastic. Best place in the city to get either of them. Please give them a go :) 5/5
