Friendly staff who will brighten your day and can tell a good joke, but also a good place for a work meeting as they'll give you the room you need. Outstanding service, Excellent coffee, Great food.
If you're feeling hungry but indecisive let them be creative - if you like Avocado try the Bob Special, if you don't like Avocado (there's something wrong with you) you can try the Tom Special. Mum's Special is amazing if you like Pesto!
Staying above this cafe for a weekend away was fortuitous. This little cafe had excellent (Campos) coffee, both in hot and iced form. While the kitchen was small (I had low expectations) the food that came out was perfectly cooked and very tasty.
We ordered mushroom ragu and smoked salmon benny. I don’t know if ragu was an apt descriptor but it very yummy with a perfectly poached egg, ‘eggS’ would have been better. The Benny was on a brioche bun and again, perfectly cooked eggs and not too heavy tasting as I’m often wary of hollandaise and buttery carbs all at once.
We sat outside in the sunshine on uneven stools, but it was a really enjoyable breakfast.
Yes... I took the baby monitor with me while dining downstairs from the apartment 🤫 maybe that’s what helped make it extra enjoyable 😂
Fabulous coffee and super fast service, if you’re staying at the Pullman next door ditch the hotel breakfast. Their coffee and brioche combo is a great grab in the way into work!

Nice little cafe next to the Crowne Plaza hotel. Granola with berries was excellent and the coffee was spot on. Nice alternative to a hotel buffet.
After a few hours of shopping in the city I was worn out and needed to just sit and have a good coffee. Because I'd skipped breakfast, although it was lunch time, I was craving an all day breakfast menu item and the only place I could find serving them was this gorgeous little coffee place in Hindmarsh Square, central but away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping precinct. I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful egg, spinach and mushroom dish that I ordered and tailored to my own tastes (I asked for more spinach and mushroom instead of bacon and chorizo and they were very happy to oblige). The service was friendly, the breakfast was great and hit the spot. Not to mention it was a perfect caffe` latte too and I'm very fussy about my coffee!

Service with a smile, very friendly, great coffee and the BLT brioche was excellent. The croissants were pretty good as well, nice and crisp. The extra bonus was the Campos Coffee, a really great coffee.

Score: Three Chops in The Chopping Board Adelaide Coffee Round-up. Avila is a not a super popular coffee shop, but they do make a great coffee. It's situated on Hindmarsh square, next door to the Griffen's Head. It's never super busy, and the barista will always take time to have a chat with you about the coffee, or any questions you may have about their Campos beans (also available for purchase).
My go to cafe when in adelaide. Great food, great coffee, with a great cozy feel right in hindmarsh square. The staff are friendly and It's only a 2 minute walk to Rundle Mall.
Had lunch here with my friend when I travelled to Adelaide. Tried the dish of the day which was pasta shells with a yummy filling. Great service as well. Food was delicious

Great place to hang out, especially if waiting for a no-show! Coffee rates 7/10. Service exceptional. I do like it when not all the staff are young and beautiful! Makes me feel kinda normal.
