I have always discounted this place as a restaurant in a hotel so it can't be good however, a catch up venue turned out to be SQ and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a couple of different menus and I ordered off the Lean and Green menu - a brisket burger with chutney and sweet potato fries plus a glass of wine for $19.90. The burger was excellent - love the black bun and plenty of brisket plus good coleslaw and the sweet potato fries were delish. Good service, nice lunch atmosphere.
Visited with a Groupon voucher for the tapas menu. We enjoyed every dish and the service was great. I saw on their specials board that you could have a similar tapas deal without the voucher so I think we'll go back and try a few more options another time
We had the tapas menu. Some of the dishes were really good, some were average. The service was nice. We did not wait log on the dishes. We will go back to try more form their menu. Beautiful place for a drink after dinner.
VERY ENJOYABLE DINING EXPERIENCE. You can sense you are in for a good night when you first look at the menu and decide that you could order the complete first page from the Taster menu. Forget looking at the main courses let's just order five taster dishes to share and we were not disappointed with the oysters, lemon squid strips, duck wontons, wagyu beef pie & sticky pork ribs. The only negative we could find was initial drink service was slow to be taken then slow to serve.
Would we go back, yes, we made a booking for next week for their regular Duck, Pork & Pino dinner.
I came in to SQ for lunch today and was really impressed. I have a toddler and was really worried about how he would behave in the restaurant. I sat down and there was a bag next to his high chair with activities, crayons and stickers. Absolutely fantastic, it kept him amused for over an hour. Most impressive were the two floor staff that served us. They were great with my son, friendly and extremely helpful. The menu was great with lots of healthy options (that also tasted amazing). Would highly recommend SQ!
I have worked in the industry since I was very young and I started out in country fine dining where the food was so fresh and the chefs were so clever. I booked here and was amazed by the food. It is sublime!! What a happy night I had there. The staff were great, the chefs were friendly and I felt like only my mum could top their talent!! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Ya-UM
Late night drinks. Never eaten here, but had many drinks.. Staff were all friendly and attentive, always happy to make me a coffee at ungodly hours of the evening.. Thankyou, really enjoyed our stay at the mantra
Food sensational been here on steak night the best value for money.
Came back a few week later and was seafood night. Amazing, fresh and every dish was a tasting pleasure. Need to try the desserts not sure how they do them but just sit back and enjoy.
