This place is amazing food to die for highly recommend
Booked because close to where we were going to see a band and oh what a find. Lovely decor, nice and warm on a cold night and the yummiest of foods, great tangines and I couldn't stop eating my hubby's Turkish delight even though I was so full. Will be back thank you.
If you are looking to be transported to Morocco look no further. The food is incredible, decor extravagent and service is impeccable. I wish i could give 6 stars.
Le Riad has great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food to match but they need more people on the floor! Even though there only appeared to be one person in the kitchen we didn't wait for meals (and we were a large group). The dips were generous and delicious - but took us so long to get through them because we kept having to find someone to order extra bread. The tajines were all delicious and well cooked, the side salads were really tasty and the vegetable couscous that we ordered as a side was great as well. There was a belly dancer on Saturday night which was good entertainment. If we hadn't have had to work so hard to get drinks / floor staff attention this would definitely have been a 5.
I really enjoyed my meal here. We had the sweet lamb tagine and a rustic mixed grill which were both great - not fancy by any measure but definitely tasty. The restaurant setting is a little dark, but has a unpretentious and eclectic style which gives you plenty to look at. Just as well as the food can take a little while to come out. Bring good conversation and be patient - it's worth the wait.
Took away something for a quick dinner the other night. I went with the falafels with hummus and a special Moroccan salad. The salad was doused in an oily dressing, which was a bit annoying, but it was well spiced and had a lovely flavour to it. I just wish they served it with the dressing on the side so I could control how much I put in. The falafels were heavily deep fried, so they had a thick, very crunchy exterior which I wasn't used to. Nonetheless, they still tasted great, especially eaten with the hummus.
A group 8 of us booked into Le Riad and all had an excellent evening. Michael took our orders, he was charming and friendly, he described the dishes very well and stopped us when he thought we were over-ordering. Our Vegetarian friend was well catered for as well. The entrée of mixed dips had a tasty selection of goat cheese, hoummus, roast capsicum, zucchini & eggplant dips with plenty of pita pieces. The main courses were a mixture of lamb tagine, chicken tagine, mixed grill & cous cous (with vegetables & lamb). Everything received solid approval for taste, quality & quantity from everyone. Le Riad is highly recommended for good value, tasty food in a great setting
Love love love their food! Everything is so tasty!! We tried beef tagine, chicken tagine, Lamb Magwiya (I think that's how it's spelt :/) eggplant dip and Moroccan style soup. Definitely recommend this hidden Moroccan gem in CBD
So good, loved the green beans. Vegan options and all delicious. Will be back.
So tasty and plenty of vegan options - can't wait to go back.
AMAZING!. Myself and my partner went here on a Friday night, greeted by a lovely waiter who showed us to our table and let us have enough time to order. I order the spicy chicken specialty with fried potatoes and my partner the lamb tajin with rice. We shared a little and it was beautifully cooked and in a fast time as well, I would recommend to buy a side of rice with the chicken though. Only down fall to this place was that the drinks are a little over priced but the food definitely is not, with 2 main meals only costing $45 and filled both of us up. If you want a culture experience and a great little Moroccan joint, this is the place to go!
Yum yum!. Went in on a Thursday night. It was quiet to start off with but soon filled up. We went to celebrate a friends birthday with a small group. We ordered the mix dips, potato salad (my new favourite food) and carrot salad. For mains we went with the Rafissa (oh my gosh! So good!), the goat tagine. I've never eaten goat but it was amazing and so tender. We also had a mixed grill and a chicken couscous. We probably over estimated how much we were going to eat as we thought they would be smaller serves. They were pretty big and it was so good we had to take some away with us. We mentioned it was our friends birthday and the waiter brought out a dessert with a candle on it and played happy birthday in Moroccan! Definitely a memorable experience and definitely will be coming back!
If you ever visit Adelaide you need to book at this gem of a restaurant, what a treat the owner is so accommodating and welcoming. The food is delicious, well prepared and beautifully presented. The mixed grill was out of this world and a huge portion of freshly cooked meats and oh so flavorful. As you walk in you are feel transported to a Moroccan tent filled with the sent of ancient spices. Loved every moment and every bite. Not to be missed.
I had never tried Moroccan food and was nervous when a group chose to go there. The food was amazing, portion sizes good, and service was outstanding. It has become one of my must visit places whenever I am in Adelaide.
Had an enjoyable dinner here on 6 May 2022. The website doesn't mention it but wine and mixed drinks are available. $9 for gin & tonic is great value. The chicken couscous was very tasty. The bread stuffed with spinach and feta is recommended as a starter.
Food is to die for. We will definitely return with more people. When you find a fabulous eatery... spread the word around. Thank you so much for keeping the food to its founding place.
Four stars because the felafel are fresh and delicious. Very kitsch interior although nothing like anything I saw when travelling through Morocco but a nice ambience all the same.
The Moroccan dishes with its cultural style. I love sweet chicken tagine as it has appricot in it serve in a special bowl.
