Muc sua chien gion or crispy fried baby squid, smoked chilli and my all time fave smell in the world, kaffir lime. I was kept amused by this dish, I would even call it a fun dish. It seems kind of strange calling it fun. I just could not get enough of the initial crunch, then the teeth gliding through butter sensation. I had inner childish squeals of delight and did all I could to stifle bouncing up and down on my seat. Not even noticing the rise in temperature until it was too late. The flavours were oh so subtle, as they should be when paired with squid. Onlyifitsgood
We had our work EOFY function at Madam Hanoi tonight. I cannot rate highly enough the quality of food and service we received. We were thoroughly looked after from the moment we walked in, nothing was too much of an ask, even with all of our perculiar dietary requirements. Huge thanks to Josh (I think?!) For taking such good care of us!
A stunning venue, great facilities (that handcream in the toilets omg) & I cannot begin to describe how good the food is. I was lucky enough to get this fried egg dish as a vegetarian special - this was the BEST dish and deserves a place on the permenant menu! Thank you so much for a perfect function; we will be back.
Wow and I mean wow!!! The food here just caught me by surprise... I went to this place for the first time during the chilli festival and tried both their special menu and normal menu dishes.... None and I mean none of the dishes disappointed me... Everything was flavourful and delicious... I would have rated five stars except the portion size is small and it is pricey!
I ordered the goi xoai du du (green mango and papaya salad) and the suon cuu chua ngot (sticky lamb ribs) - perfect combo. The salad was light and fresh while the ribs were sticky yet tender... unfortunately both dishes were quite large so i didn't have room for pudding - the people sitting next to me said the banana cigars were gorgeous. I found room for the lumineux cocktail which was nice but not stunning.
Amazing! Truly. The sticky lamb ribs were phenomenal and the flavours complemented each other perfectly. Great cocktails. Great service. Great vibe. I don't usually write reviews but this place really stands out.
For someone who considers themselves a "foodie", I am not particularly adventurous in what I eat. I was brought here for a reunion dinner and was absolutely blown away. I ate things that I never pictured myself eating (like whole soft shell crab). Everything here is cooked perfectly with so much flavour and love. Beautiful decor and incredibly kind waitresses. The drink menu is fantastic with local craft beers on top and great cocktails. I haven't stopped talking about this place since I left and I can't wait to go back
Wow. There can be no other comment. Brilliant food. The scallops, squid and tuna were incredible. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. We’re from Melbourne and we will definitely be back. The lamb was rich and delicious. Thank you.
Fantastic food. We ordered the pork bao which had a generous serve of pork with the perfect balance of crunch and soft meat. The soft shell crab bao has less flavour and was on the dry side. The lamb ribs were amazing. The sweet and sticky was perfect. Service was good, food was delivered fast. I do no love chilli and having it served on the side was no issue. Madam Hanoi is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants Adelaide
10/10. Been here several times, have had items of the a la carte menu and tried several of the banquet menus. Never disappointing. Staff are great, approachable and very helpful. The delivery of French Vietnamese fusion is great. The atmosphere is amazing and the repurposing of such a grand old building is fitting. The food is fresh and flavour-filled. Well worth a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Goi vit or crispy confit duck, watermelon, hoisin and my second most fave smell in the world, Vietnamese mint. Now this one caught my eye almost immediately. I knew it was going to be to......die......for! Yep and we did, we died. Right there, in the restaurant. Dead! You know what? I'm not going to describe it. Go in and try it. You're welcome.

My partner and I came here on a recommendation for the concierge at our hotel room (we were on holidays).
Took a seat and looked around at the bustling place and happy faces everywhere. Beautiful staff and very polite.
We ordered a few bits and pieces and loved what we got. Nice, light, fresh and delicious. Every more so, the cocktails were great to!
Great evening out for dinner! Thanks
Once again another great meal, can't fault it table was a decent size for the 4 of us, drinks taken promptly and were happy to make me a dirty martini which was delicious. Servings were generous we loved the wings and the pork, prawn and noodle soup. The big man was freaked by the spider bun but I thought it was great. The ribs were kick ass. Everyone was stuffed and it was way cheaper than we imagined. I was very happy.
Ambience was nice, serving sizes were decent. The fusion flavours were interesting. Service was good. Enjoyed the coffee mousse and creme brulee. Crispy pork was juicy and crispy.
Very good location and beautiful inside.
The food was very good and presented very well, it's a bit overpriced to my opinion.
The desserts ok but not special to me.
I liked it but i am not sure if I would go back.
Great food and drinks, amazing atmosphere and friendly.staff. I had a fantastic night with my friends from NSW/QLD/VIC and we all loved the flavours. So well done.
The Vietnamese G&T is a must and we had the “spoil us” package where they literally make it up for you with the best dishes
Booked here @ 5:30pm before a show, got given an average table and asked to be moved (place was empty) but it couldn't be accommodated.
Food was very yum, but a little expensive. For 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 drinks each was $200 and the portions are not that big.
However the food was fresh and tasty. Overall 80% - room for improvement.
This place was worth flying to Adelaide for. Every dish was delicious. The service excellent too.
Madame Hanoi's chilli fest is on again until May14th. Various levels of chilli are on offer with some dishes that will make you want to do the Tango whilst playing the violin! To cool down try Madame's Martini with coriander gin and as of today they have launched their very own gin made by the fabulous Blend Etiquette.
Delicious food and attentive service. We ordered the Let us feed you Seafood option and loved it. As is typical with this option, at first you're worried it won't be enough, but in the end we were stuffed! Great flavours. Really enjoyed the chili prawns and chocolate mousse dessert.
