Review Henry's Table - Adelaide

Liz Judd
Visited for a group function last night (Oct 2019) and I cant speak highly enough. The food was magnificent - a 10/10 from me. They catered for all dietary requirements with ease and although I don't eat steak, the fillet steak looks amazing and there were rave reviews. The staff were wonderful too, very accommodating and attentive. Would love to go back. Well done Henrys - it was fabulous.

Had dinner here earlier this month and had a beautiful meal with my wife and friend from Melbourne. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the surroundings impressive - gorgeous, historic building with very nice dining decor. The food was excellent - tender, aged steaks at exceptionally reasonable prices - great to see local South Australian seafood featured. Will definitely dine there again.

The welcome was immediate and warm, atmosphere of restaurant was comfortable, service was good, explained fish of the day, size of side dishes clearly explained, wine list impressive and had Little Bang on the list. Food presented well on heated plates, steak was cooked as ordered, was very tasty. Overall a great experience for a special day.

The food was lovely and generously proportioned for this type of restaurant. The wine list was reasonably good. The service, while friendly, stood out as too laid back for dining at this level. Please tell your wait staff to stop addressing customers as "guys". It's really off-putting.

Service was good, atmosphere was good (quite busy for a weeknight - perhaps due to 50% off promotion). The food was also tasty but nothing too special to set it out from other places. I've attended many functions before at Ayers House and my expectations were higher.

I wish it was better, a great venue trying to do fine dining. The staff were lovely but lacking a professional touch. The steak was far too over seasoned to the point I could only taste Salt. Please make this place better 👍

I had dinner at Henry's Table last week and it was FABULOUS! The food was delicious and I could not fault the service. The meals are very reasonably priced and it has a welcoming atmosphere - I definitely recommend paying it a visit!

Cant speak highly enough about the exquisite food, the attentive service and the unique atmosphere. Absolutely faultless experience, an incredible achievement for a restaurant only a few days old... Bravo to the team at Henry's Table!
Only If Its Good
No Rules are Good Rules

Hi foodies! OIIG took advantage of the Fork Food Festival and booked into Henry's Table for dinner. It's a relatively new restaurant in Ayers House with the intriguing phrase attached, "no rules dining"? I needed to know what this meant and did I like it, was it Good?

Moving forward....when you go please remember that there is a car park situated in the grounds of Ayers House. I forgot *facepalm* We were welcomed by staff with beaming smiles and only too happy to be of service. There was no snooty behaviour by floor staff, I hate that. *eye roll* Henry's Table has such a comfortable vibe to it. It was beautiful to be sitting in the home of Sir Henry Ayers having dinner like a family member. That's how relaxing it felt. I later found out, this was intentional. This was the part of the no rules dining. Like no other fine dining. No adherence to stuffy fine dining rules. Who makes those rules anyway?

To read the rest of my review, click on the link below

Lovely lovely atmosphere.... Perfect for a romantic night out ... With their high ceilings and intimate decor ...... What a visual treat! Their menu is interesting I have to say- I did not expect Asian fusion flavours ... Everything we had was nice..
Definitely above average... You get a discount if you have the entertainment card , otherwise it's slightly expensive... But you're paying for the ambience as well...
