Review Sicily Pizzeria E Bar - Adelaide

One of my favourite pizza bars in Adelaide. Delicious Italian wood fire pizzas. The gnocchi is amazing! I’ve been here many many times and have had a consistently great experience. Staff is amazing and service is fantastic. Prices are on the high end but worth it. I’ll recommend dining here!

We had pizza for dinner in this Italian restaurant and we left satisfied. We ate a pizza with salami that had a strong taste but good, then a prosciutto with white base. You can’t see from the picture but in the centre, under the prosciutto, it was a bit burnt; this because I asked it without tomato sauce and you should add more cheese to avoid the pizza to burn. But besides that, all the ingredients were good and I love when it’s used fiordilatte cheese instead of mozzarella, because it tastes even better. Staff was also polite.

One of the best wood oven pizza in the town, I tried the vegan one with cheez with chilli oil, excellent customer service with really mesmerising environment, beyond my expectations.

food was alright, not great, service was fine as well, but that's not really the major issue. my real problem was the completely predatory and deceptive way in which I was charged $18 for 2 bottles of table water. was offered a drink with my pizza and declined and asked for table water. staff failed to mention a bottle of table water is $9? never have I experienced a place which fails to mention their extortionate price on something that should be free for guests. wouldn't recommend it unless you're a fan of getting absolutely racked for something that should be free.

I had an amazing experience at ITALY and was recommended by the manager to try the sister restaurant Sicily a few shops down. So we did Saturday night and might I say, I will not be returning, it was absolutely lifeless no greeting on arrival. Our waitress with the curly red hair was absolutely RUDE, threw our food on the table, very blunt in her speech and constantly stood in front of the wood oven talking to the pizzamaker when I tried to get attention for another glass of red wine which I didn’t get because no one asked, do yourself a favour guys! Stick to ITALY.

I booked in for a birthday dinner with 14 friends and was pretty disappointed with the service and communication. We ordered drinks while waiting for the rest of the group then a couple of platters arrived I assumed someone on the table ordered while we waited and the rest of us continued to look at the menu before everyone had arrived some pizzas started coming out. I was very confused and said it must have been a mistake as we had not ordered yet to which I was told they were for the table and the waitress walked away after a while I went to the waitress very confused and she said there was a set feed me menu for the group as we were large I was very dissapointed that nobody told me when we booked or even when we arrived. They just brought out food with no communication I expressed this to the waitress who just said it was standard no apology or explanation about how the food would work. Not very happy with this as we weren’t told this was the only option, what food was coming or how much it would cost each person while the food was good service was very disappointing also after reviewing the receipt I was charged a $12 surcharge with no explanation and it wasn’t a public holiday or Sunday.

Such a great experience eating at this pizzeria. The service was quick and friendly. We have ordered margarita pizza, murinciani, arancina and lasagna for kids. Pizza was so delicious and authentic. Murinciani was flavorful, arancina was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Kids really enjoyed the lasagna.

food was good! however was unpleasantly surprised to find out when fixing the bill that i was charged $9 for table water. never was it mentioned at all that i would have to pay for something that should be free. the wait staff brought out a second bottle without prompting. id rather swallow my own spit then pay $9 for table water. pizza was yum tho

Wow! Finding authentic, fresh and genuine food is hard pushed. It either requires advanced booking or comes at a high cost... we'll throw that out the window for Sicily! We walked in off the street and instantly felt the hearty Italian welcome! The lady (I assume the owner) was fantastic. Some may say it was organised chaos... id personally call it the Mediterranean flare and passion for food, for drink and for entertaining! We will certainly be back and I'd highly recommend this place to all audiences, go ... load up on food and drink, sit back and enjoy!

Best pizza and arancini in Adelaide hands down. The pizza is classic Italian, with perfect toppings and the arancini was to die for. I can't wait to come back.

Saw a write of this in Sydney. Loved the food we had pizza, arancini and polpette. Service was good and respectful of the diners space. Will be back when next in town.

The best Sicilian in Adelaide. Faultless, friendly service and traditional, cultured cuisine. Food is exceptional. Been twice since opening and I can't wait to come back to SICILY.

Sicily Pizzeria e Bar serves authentic wood oven pizza: the pizza dough been hand stretched, rested for 72 hours and topped with San Marzano tomatoes. But it’s not all about pizza, typical Sicilian starters are served such as stuffed eggplant (pictured), as well as roasted meats and sweets such as ricotta cannoli.

I’d definitely go back as the pizzas are delicious, thin style and nothing but good quality ingredients are used. Great service and I like that they have a negroni sbagliato on their drinks menu. #sicilypizzeriaebar

Really delicious pizza. Super thin base, crispy crust and delicious toppings. Credit to the pizza maker. Service was also efficient and friendly. Being from Melbourne we will certainly be back. Great job!!

The Pizza is authentic & of great quality and the service from waiting staff was really good. A little pricier than other places but that isn't an issue when you get good quality food.

I was overcharged for our family meals which is the most disappointing because I honestly suspect this wasn't an honest mistake being that I read somebody else was overcharged by $100. I'm not sure whether I will return to support this business even though I did like this place?

If there's room for improvement at this restaurant, it's not the food that needs improving it's the person operating the cash register - I guess some business owners think they can take advantage of customers without it being noticed. You can always play the honest mistake card for overcharging customers but who are you trying to cheat - the customer or yourself!

Arrived at the last minute while staff were packing up / eating. No hassle, pizzas for 6. Delicious margarita pizza, and the vegetarian looked good too. Thanks.

Great little spot, service is great, the pizza is good traditionally made what more could u want? The aranichi balls are amazing!!!! So is tiramisu classic and delicious!
My only criticism is the toilets, they lack the care factor, used also as a storage area for tables and chairs which is really off putting. They were clean but think that’s something they could fix.

It was the first night of the Fringe and we were going to need dinner so I booked Sicily. Even though it was frantic we didn't have to wait long for anything and the staff on the floor were pleasant. Definitely try the arancini - They are quite different to the usual arancini - larger with ragu in the middle and a delicious sauce. The pizzas were traditional although the ham and artichoke pizza was better than the Italian sausage and blue cheese pizza which lacked taste despite the strong toppings.

Absolutely beautiful pizza! Service was okay. The dough is delicious and light and they are so generous with the toppings. We had he prosciutto and salami pizzas. The wine list is also beautiful. Can’t wait to go back.

Carb overload holy moly! The arancini balls were OK. The tray of pasta we got was disappointing, just penne with nap sauce? *yawn BUT the pizza 🍕 and that cannoli!! They earn the stars! Plus good wine, service and great family feel. Nice place

Mmm cant wait to go back this week! Sicily rates highly on my list of top traditional Italian pizzas in Adelaide! Pizzas are delicious! - soft and light dough and flavoursome toppings. Had the eggplant dish for entree which was also surprisingly tasty. We had a large group of 16 people and the restaurant staff were very accomodating to our needs. Not being able to split the bill was difficult so be prepared with cash! Overall, a great place for traditional Italian pizza and starters! Loved it and will be back 😊

Pleasantly surprised by this cute establishment. It was pumping on a busy Fringe night. Still, they were lovely and accommodating. Araanchini balls were a stand out - just yum, and pizzas, with beautifully thin bases were delicious. Would happily come back soon!

One cool night in-between outings we (Amanda and friends) stop in at Sicily Pizzeria e Bar to warm up and take the edge off our empty stomachs. Five of us arrive without a booking, and we think that the packed venue might not be able to squeeze us in but within seconds the friendly servers were ushering us towards the back of the room to a nice big table. Located on a corner meant that two sides of the venue were enclosed by windows which made for a nice outlook, along with full view of the hustle and bustle of the bar and pizza oven.

Average, average, average...I was expecting so much more. Pizza was ok but no wow factor. I also tried the Arancini and I have tasted better. The place lacked atmosphere for a Friday night but the staff and service were excellent.

We have been waiting and waiting for this place to open back up again and after a couple of bevvies at the Stag hotel, we took our opportunity and entered Sicily to be wowed!

The atmosphere here is actually quite nice and the décor is uplifting with friendly, passionate service to match.

We wanted to try a few items off the menu so ordered a couple of entrees, arancini and fennel sausage. To start with, lets make mention of the humble, but delicious arancini, this crunchy gooey morsel should not just be good, it should be great! There is an en masse of arancini in Adelaide atm and you can barely enter a restaurant that doesn’t have it on the menu! So peeps, make them memorable. I could tell, almost immediately, upon the arrival of the pyramid rice tower, that these were not made in house, alas! I have seen these before! They were filled with Bolognese, peas and mozzarella, although tasty enough, they were a little dry and not really the lovely, unctuous filling I was expecting. The fennel sausage was quite nice, although, I would have liked the crunch of fennel seeds to be more prevalent, small pickins!

We were really looking forward to a fabulous pizza out of the amazing wood oven bellowing in the kitchen, but it wasn’t to be. I am one of these people who like to eat my pizza with my hands, messy style! Unfortunately, we couldn’t do that with this pizza and had to use knives and forks. The dough seemed to be a bit undercooked causing the pizza to be quite sloppy, in which the owner advised us, this is how it is supposed to be, Sicilian style. Well, foodie mate that I was dining with, is Sicilian and he didn’t agree, but hey, everyone has their own version of a good pizza and their own version of a Sicilian pizza. I did notice, however, that the table next to us, had pizzas and they seemed more cooked and looked crisp. I will also make a small mention about the ingredients, the artichokes were very nice, however, the ham, was not great quality. If you are going to do pizzas with limited toppings, the ingredients need to be top quality (and local is even better), as there really isn’t anywhere to hide.

Overall, it was an enjoyable night and I would probably return to give the pizza another shot.

Thanks Cono and the Team.
