Overall: Excellent service and genuine Italian food.
We visited twice this month. Love the marinara spaghetti, it was very tasty and authentic. Both times we tried a range of their tigelle (mini sandwich, but so much better) and will return!
Brilliant breakfasts! There were 5 of us, we all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. Large selection on the menu, portions are very generous. I had the bruschetta with eggs, ricotta, mushrooms and spinach. Highly recommend that dish. Coffees were also excellent. Great service too. Looking forward to returning for their famous pizzas.
A birthday presented the opportunity to visit Rusco and Brusco Tigelleria Bar and they were conveniently open on the public holiday. I love eating at family run places because it is like they are inviting you into their home. It was really busy and the staff worked so hard but they were lovely and really friendly and all seemed to take pride in their service. Love the big photos of famous Italians on the walls. We of course, had to start with the Tigelle which is an Italian speciality that I'd never seen before - little toasted sandwiches with delicious fillings - we picked five to share. Then the gnocco fritti which is kind of like a fried sandwich - again filled with delicious fillings. The gnocchi bolognese was also a must have dish and they were soft pillows in a rich sauce. They offer a speciality pasta called passatelli which is made with bread crumbs which came with the most amazing truffle sauce - this was our favourite dish. The mezzelune (stuffed pasta) was also really nice. We didn't try a pizza but they looked really good and we will be returning to try. We finished off with a tiramisu and sfogliatelle (custard filed pastry) which was the most perfect mouthful to finish on.
