Review Cibo Locale - Adelaide

Pauline Hill
Good coffee, very friendly service, fresh made food until 3pm. Great muffins baked fresh daily. Cant beat their smashed avocado.

Nice food and good coffe. Service is friendly. Never had a bad meal there usually all day breakfast which is always consistent. Food is a little bit on the pricey side but the quality is there.

This is a great Cibo however one of my reasons for visiting any coffee location is to enjoy that coffee whilst reading the paper. For the past few days they haven't had the paper delivered. Bad luck. Well what would you do if the milk wasn't delivered on time. Bad luck. No. You would fix it. So fix the papers being delivered on time.

Great to have a local café I can finally walk to from my house. The coffee's great and a good variety of food. I'll be inviting friends to my side of town to go out for coffee and breakfast now.

Good food, great coffee and good staff. The front is light and bright, but seats at the back are a bit dark and can get noisy.

Great place to grab some lunch or a coffee. Pricing is ok. Some of the food is on the expensive side. All meals have been of high quality.
Catt Taylor
Great coffee, good food. Expensive, but nice as a treat.
Andrew Herzog
Great cup of Coffee, friendly staff, meals are good, however expensive.

A frequent visitor here.

The food is always delicious and spot on. We haven't had a bad dish yet. Fresh quality ingredients and fantastic presentation. Speedy service.

It's great for parents with kids with the hidden black boards in the back of the dining area.

We've always had great service too. Only let down is the coffee is average.

I went here mid Saturday morning for a bit of a breakfast and coffee. The place was buzzing and I was seated quickly.

There was a good range of items on the menu... All day breakfasts and lunches from 11:00.

I decided to build my own.. Some toast, a poached egg and some Haloumi.

All tasty and well presented. Although, thinking about it, $19 for a coffee, two bits of toast, two slices of cheese and an egg could be seen as in the upper level of pricing.

It's a noisy space. With bare floors, bare bricks, bare tables it doesn't so much buzz as reverberate.

It's an okay place. Another one of those "Nothing much wrong with it. But there's the nagging thought that you could do better" places. I'd be quite happy to go back. But somehow I'd be thinking of Hawker Street Cafe or Mr Sunshine's.

Cibo Locale always seems to be full and buzzing. Their coffee is Cibo coffee, so, it's a hit and miss, depending on the barista.
The food has been passable. I've previously liked their breakfast options, but during my last visit, it was lunchtime and I shared a chicken burger. It looked promising but the meat and the coleslaw had no flavour. Chips were good and the side salad was the best feature of the burger dish (that's not a good sign).
I will probably be back because it's in my neighbourhood, however, I will not be ordering the chicken burger.

Everyone and anyone who is from Adelaide knows CIBO. The Italian espresso bar with the bright red sign is instantly recognisable serving coffee, quick lunches, cakes and gelati. CIBO Locale is part of the CIBO brand but completely different. Instead of just offering their typical quick lunch items on the go they offer a full breakfast and lunch cafe menu.

Cibo Locale is located on Grange road and offers more than just your coffee on the go. Forget what you THINK you know about Cibo, start hearing what you’re ABOUT to know about Cibo. Cibo Locale is an extension of the Cibo brand, the red and white gloss and great coffee is still there, but this time they’re bringing a solid new menu (while retaining all the favourites) to the table, so to speak. The restaurant seats about 85 fellow food lovers and is decked out with huge wooden beams, leafy green ferns and huge dangling exposed light bulbs. Ever wondered what Italian hipster looks like? You’re looking at it.

Cibo Locale is my local at work, I visit the team here every day for coffee and sometimes something sweet or breakfast related if I need a little extra.

Their lunch items are varied and really good, everything I have tried has been up to a high standard and I have been happy with the quality every time.

Staff are friendly and know be name now and usually start my order before its placed making it quick to get in and out which is great when I have lots of work on.

I have a full breakfast at Cibo now on a monthly basis for business and sometimes more if friends are in the area, the food is always great and the service good.

I can't speak highly enough of the team and owners here, they have several Cibo's under their belt and know how to operate businesses properly and serve customers.

Great quality food. French toast is particularly good. As is the mushrooms with truffle oil and parmesan cheese.
Prices are slightly higher than I would like but you get what you pay for. The food quality definitely makes the higher prices worth it. We have been several times including the Easter Monday public holiday, busy busy busy at 9.15am!

The coconut poached chicken salad is delicious as is the coffee. The staff are lovely. Have had lunch there twice and loved it both times. My favourite Cibo!

Simple, but rather interesting and delicious food that made me feel like I've cooked this in my own home kitchen (with some effort), after being inspired by gourmet recipes in a good food magazine.
On The Chopping Board
Having heard of Cibo Locale's recent opening, I (Amanda) was intrigued as to how it differed from a standard Cibo Espresso establishment. Cibo Espresso, for me, is somewhere I visit mostly due to their various convenient locations for a quick gelato, piadina or ricotta filled bombolini but in terms of a nice sit down meal, it is definitely not on my radar. On The Chopping Board (OTCB) were kindly invited to Cibo Locale for a tasting of their breakfast menu. All food and beverages were provided on behalf of Cibo Locale.

You know you're on to a good thing when you arrive, they've already seen you pull up in the carpark and they know your coffee order and have it made and it's waiting for you. It's like "Cheers" without the beers.
Cibo Locale has consistently great coffee and service to match. The Cheeseburger is pretty damn good and the green eggs is absolutely yum. The omelette is massive and all menu items are reasonably priced. My only negative is that it can be quite noisy at times. Nevertheless, a great local which I've frequented many times and will continue to do so.

So im giving Locale a 4. Dont believe the off the chain and game changer comments because they aren’t true. What they do do is good quality coffee (apparently not the normal Cibo blend), quality breakfasts (the green eggs and ham being especially delicious) and decent service. Most of the waitresses give a far better service than the waiters but go for a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Close to work, great coffee, awsome staff, nice different place for the area.
Not comparable with other Cibo's, they actually have a kitchen with chefs and a la carte menu with the choice of breakfast, brunch/lunch and also variety of sweets, cakes etc

When I was invited to check out Cibo Locale, a new expansion on the well-known Cibo brand, I have to say I wasn’t expecting anything too fancy. I was expecting to be offered a typical Italian lunch and some sweet options you can find at any Cibo café around Adelaide. But boy was I wrong! In fact, Cibo Locale has nothing a typical Cibo café offers, with the exception of Gelati. Conveniently located on Grange Rd in Findon, this cafe has an extensive breakfast and lunch menu based on seasonal and local produce and not just Italian dishes but dishes from around the globe. Today the Adelaide Food Central team sampled the delicious lunch menu and were thoroughly impressed.

Tempting Palates
We were trying to find an excuse to finally try Cibo Locale at 225 Grange Road, Findon and coffee and cake was our best effort! It was a Saturday afternoon when we felt the urge for something sweet and Cibo Locale sure didn't disappoint. This casual and cool eatery is a great addition to the Findon area.

Nice shop fit, friendly staff... Extremely loud, considering place was only half full. Coffee was 'ok' Milk not textured properly, Menu quite 'Flashy' but no basic 'Eggs Benedict' & refused to make them. Then ordered plain poached eggs which came out very quickly but we're almost stone cold and tasted bland, sent them back, no problem at all, by the time meal was brought back out the rest of the table had been cleared. Would I go back??? Not in a hurry.

Went here today for a late lunch
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they told us in detail what we ordered to give us a excellent idea of the food and what to expect
I got the pork belly sliders and they were amazing, the pork was crispy and a little hint of spice from the chilli relish as well as a bit of sweet flavour coming thru
The biggest flavour was the kimchi,it's got such a different but exciting flavour to the slider,my wife got the steak sandwich which isn't your standard sandwich,it was very big and the steak was like cutting through butter it's that soft and tender,
Honestly check out this place as you won't be disappointed, they have a new variety of sweets their doing and they are like being in Europe
Well done and keep up the great work cibo !!!

I have to admit to being surprised that the only things Italian about Cibo Locale (Local Food) are the name, some of the staff and of course, the coffee (which is a special blend apparently and not Cibo Coffee). So far we have been for coffee only (good and strong); breakfast; and today, lunch. My chicken broth with shiitake mushrooms etc (a version of Vietnamese chicken pho) was really delicious but it was just warm and I'd have preferred it hotter. My wife's large slice of warm vegetable scone was reportedly very tasty but arrived about 10 minutes before my meal. Something to work on guys. The staff are very welcoming and friendly throughout. All in all a great start to a very welcome new local business. Just what the neighbourhood needed.

This place finally is bringing life to the western suburb! I was sick of the dull and lame offerings we had in the area up until now! I would highly recommend the crispy pork sliders and the macaroni and cheese! The service was amazing with happy and knowledgable staff are a cut above the rest!

This place is off the hook the food and coffee is amazing I have had 3 of their cheeseburgers this week! Best in Australia I say! And gosh to the baristas there know how to do some wicked latte art!

WOW Lads!! Great fit out, Friendly staff, great food and sensational coffee. Im happy that i can bring my kids some where and they are welcomed with open arms. A massive breath of fresh air for the western suburbs! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to trying the green eggs and ham next time!

Fantastic food offer, great service and funky looking fit out. Desperately needed in the western suburbs. I'll definitely be back, it was a great experience and kid friendly too.

This place was ridiculously good! The coffee was great and the burger I had was the best I've tried in Australia! Love how a south Australian icon has evolved and dished up a concept that is really cool and innovative, about time as I feel the classic Cibo mold needed a revival!

It's about time! A breakfast haunt where you get more than eggs on toast. Creative, colorful and super tasty, all served with a smile. Week 1 - green eggs and ham. I'll be trying everything on this menu.

I went down to check this new place out on Sunday, as it has become the talk of the town! I was surprised to see tables packed out! The staff greeted me with big smiles and were dealing with the rush very efficiently! Although there was a full house I got a table with my partner within a few minutes. The first thing we noticed once seated how different their menu was to existing Cibos! The coffees we had were amazing full bodied and sweet,I especially liked the latte art patterns that were used, which showed there was a skilled barista manning the machine! When the food arrived we were blown away with the plating and then the flavours that were used! This place blew my mind with the immaculate execution of both simple and complex dishes! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a great breakfast or lunch spot! For me, this place Is second to none in Adelaide, and a huge game changer! Great stuff Cibo locale!

Unbelievable food and coffee, A game changer for the Western Suburbs and food in Adelaide in general.
I would put their Royal Cheese burger as the best in the city!
