Great service, wonderfully balanced spicy pork ramen. Asked for extra garlic paste, to flavour to my liking, and it was amazing. Enjoy
Ramen noodle soup was quite thick and delicious, my friend was too enjoy his spicy soup and add another serving of noodles. Honestly, you should try the pork soup with no regrets
Fantastic service and great food! We were immediately greeted at the door and seated and the service was outstanding. This is the best ramen I have ever tasted even in Japan. We will be coming back.
Will come back for:
+ Karaage (Fried Chicken)
+ Deep Fried Octopus
+ Spicy Ramen
After days of western food, we were longing for some comforting Asian dishes and this place did the trick! Located at the Adelaide China town, this place serves a mean ramen. We tried the pork and fish stock ramen, the spicy ramen, and some karaage (one of the best), deep fried octopus, takoyaki (squid balls) and some Yuzu citrus and cold Japanese tea to wash it all down. The soups here are a bit on the fatty side, but makes the mouth feel smooth and tasty (imho). The karaage was one of the best I’ve had. Service was excellent and prompt and pricing was above average. Will be back if we are ever in town again!
Ryos is my go to ramen place. Been plenty of times. Never disappointed. Good for a quick bowl of ramen when you have the craving. Tonkatsu is rich and flavourful. Menu has extended to include bento boxes and rice dishes. Everything is decent. But cant beat that ramen
A busy, clean ramen joint with a large variety of Japanese soups. Service and food was fast. I ate the Tokyo chicken broth and pork. The noodles were firm and plentiful. It came with thinly sliced and well cooked char siu pork belly (if you like your char siu then add more!). The broth was flavoursome (typically clean chicken & salty broth). I tasted the spicy tonkatsu broth. It was rich and a little fatty. Would recommend for a reliable ramen.
Adelaide doesn’t have a lot of options in terms of ramen but Ryo’s is relatively well known so I️ thought I’d give it a try. We had a few different types of ramen, with fried chicken and pork buns on the side. The sides were great. The ramen itself was pretty good but could improve somewhat. I️ didn’t notice it being too salty as some reviewers have described but I️ do have a high salt tolerance. 😂 The fattiness of the soup however was very noticeable and the next day our leftovers had quite a thick layer of fat on top. Service was average with some staff being better than others. For example, we were greeted quickly at the start of the night but when we wanted to get some takeaway containers later there was no-one to be seen, and when we did find a staff member they gave us only 2 containers for our 3 different bowls of ramen 🤔 Overall a good feed and would most likely return but they’re probably lucky not to have too much competition nearby.
I don’t know why this is only 3.2, all I can say is this town have no idea. Ryo’s noodles in Sydney has a line everyday including lunchtime.
I’m surprised the soup is the same as Sydney, I thought it wouldn’t be as good. But I was wrong.
I’ll be here every time when I’m in town.
Soup is flavourful and has a beautiful presentation. The stock is packed full of pork flavour but not too salty which is a common complaint with ramen. Would definitely eat here again, beautiful!
My favourite place for ramen in Adelaide. I never knew good ramen until I ate here. I think it is the best in Adelaide.
Noodles taste fresh and the broths are amazing. The pork broth is fattier and thicker but it is sooooo satisfying when you are hungry. They can adjust the saltiness level to suit you but the normal level is perfect. It comes with all the trimmings like bamboo egg and stuff (see the menu) but some people may want to order extra meat. The chicken broth is lighter and less fatty. Only problem is it comes with only half a boiled egg as opposed to the pork which comes with a whole boiled egg. I get the chicken broth when I'm sick or watching my weight. They also have a fish broth which is great hot seafood lovers and those who cannot decide between pork or chicken broth. Get the recommended chef ramen choices if you are new, but try the other flavours if you are familiar with real Japanese ramen.
They do have rice dishes but I haven't tried them yet.
The service is quick and friendly. It is a ramen fast food service so don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. The restaurant is clean and decor is modern.
It can get busy pretty quickly and may have a wait but everyone eats quick at this place so you won't be waiting for long. I've always wondered what is upstairs though and if they would open up seating upstairs.
I'm giving it a 4.5 star rating only as a casual food restaurant. Ryo's is awesome and great for a cheap eat. Get your ramen fix!!!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Felt like the noodles were very good quality and the spicy broth was great. They even have a challenge which is always fun to see.
Consistently good ramen here. I can't go past the pork ramen and the pork is always really tender. The broth has a fantastic flavour. Good noodles too. The staff are friendly and efficient and the service is prompt so Ryo's Noodles is a good lunchtime option.
Ryo's is decent. I've been going here since 2019 and the quality has been quite consistent throughout the different stages of the past 3 years. The broth is more on the thick side here compared to other venues. 8/10
Hands down the most authentic Tonkotsu Pork Ramen in Adelaide. Every single time, it's an absolute winner. Just incredible.
This is my favourite place in Adelaide, in my opinion it's a place you must visit if you like Japanese cuisine.
Everything from here tatsed amazing, staff are friendly and helpful and it's always a short wait for food.
The Japanese food is really nice and fresh, but a bit salty. Staff are really friendly and attentive, very accomodating for requests.
Spicy yet flavoursm pork bone broth. Not bad for a quick ramen fix. Decent sized bowl. Char siu was good and big. Karaage chicken was quite crispy and gyoza was succulent and juicy. Egg was bit overcooked. The ramen and Don set with sides was quite worth it.
