Stellar coffee and food is delish. Lovely friendly people running the show. Can't wait to come back! The poached eggs with sauteed leek was one of the most unique and delish breakfasts i have ever had.
Who Needs Meat When Vegan Tastes This Good?
Hi foodies! I've been told time and again that I really needed to eat at Pixie and the Hawk. I'd love it. They're doing amazing things there. I was heading to the other side of town and decided to drop in for some lunch. I wish someone would have told me that this place gets really busy. Hey! That's great, that's what I love seeing. Busy eateries are good for all of us.
Looking at the menu, I was impressed with all the GF and Vegan options but what jumped out at me was their Vietnamese broth, salt and pepper tofu, vermicelli noodles, peanuts, fried shallots and bok choy. Yes, yes, another broth. *rolls eyes*

Having driven past numerous times I finally stopped in for a coffee on Sunday. This is a very cute cafe with really lovely staff. While I was waiting I checked out the food menu (I will be back!). The coffee was excellent.
You can buy coffee and food from anywhere.... but Pixie and the Hawk isn't just anywhere. The bacon bun is one of my dirty little secrets when i get the hankering and this delicious gem is generally complimented by their superb coffee. But this is still not the best part about this wonderful little cafe... the people! Warm, welcoming and an absolute joy to walk into. Love your work guys... thanks!
Best coffee I’ve had in Torrensville. The 5 senses Brazil bean was heavenly! Got some great Gf/vegan treat options. The menu however, is lacking salad/clean non-bread options for my liking. Friendly service and staff. Will definitely be back for coffee!!
Cute little brunch nook on Henley beach rd. Staff were friendly and helpful, coffee was really good and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back.
Yay for more brunch spots in the west!! Friendly staff, good coffee and nice food. The leek raclette is a favourite but I've also tried their black rice ( think it was glutinous rice) with coconut which was delicious. My husband and I go there almost on a monthly basis.
Honestly my favourite local café! There are endless yummy food options to choose from (The Royal Apple Show [pictured] is truly a show stopper) and they have the BEST soy lattes. I can wholeheartedly recommend Pixie and the Hawk to absolutely anyone!
Great little brunch spot in the heart of Torrensville. The staff are super friendly and personable and the food is great! If you ask for a vegan option they eon't rip you off by just omitting animal product, they'll tend to actually supplement the meal with extra vegan goodies. Good spot for a lazy Sunday brunch.
A small little place with a great atmosphere. I am one of those people who checks out the menu online before heading into the actual place. Just to make it easier for myself and for the staff when it comes to ordering.
The online menu looked amazing and I had my eyes on the Smash Smash Smash... Which describes as bashed avocado on organic rye with free range poached eggs, hummus, haloumi and lime finished with chili oil. Sounds great! As we arrived at the venue, the menu title for each dish were the same but there were changes to a few ingredients for a couple of the dishes. Which is fine, I understand that sometimes there are changes to the menu due availability and cost.
There was no haloumi, no chili oil. The rye bread was replaced by sourdough while the hummus was replaced by crunch chickpeas and a sprinkle of dukkah for the same price. The mushroom sitting on the plate cost me $3. The most expensive mushroom I have ever consumed.
Overall the meal was delicious, a nice place to sit and have a chat.
