Review Almina's On Gawler Place - Adelaide

Janet’s Journey
Newly opened up in Gawler Place. Coffee is good, especially the Turkish brew the traditional style. It is a bit of a wait for coffees during peak times. The sweets selections are a must try here. Staff are friendly. The menu at the moment is limited with what’s on offer - the selection is slightly different to the Alminas on Prospect Rd. I still miss the old Alminas on Main North Rd which is no longer.

I always come to this place for Lahme ba3jin and turkish coffee! I love it!!! However, this time i ordered the Lamb Shawarma as a take away, and it was a bit disappointing. Nothing wrong with the meat, but the fatoush they served was only tomato and parsley, wasnt really fatoush. And I couldn’t find the Hummus, there was only the tahini sauce, and in the menu they say they serve both. And the portion was a lot smaller compared to the ones i saw on the table when i came to my order up. And i paid the same amount $17.90.

Light and airy restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, great food. Good range and delicious flavours. Able to make even simple meals super yummy. Big servings and very filling at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go there again.

My go to in Gawler Place for both work and personal catch ups. Friendly staff (sometimes over the top) and good food is a great combination for good conversation across a table. Can get busy, but its worth the visit if you can snag a table.

First came to this place a few months ago. Bought a coffee and some sweet goodness. It has become a routine. Coffee every morning, coffee and food for lunch, coffee and sweets for arvo. Almina's on Gawler does not disappoint. excellent coffee, excellent food, excellent staff with a brilliant and vibrant atmosphere. Best I have had in a very very long time.

Pizza was good and made fairly quickly. I'm pretty sure they make their own dough, it was nice and soft. Coffee also decent. Best source of baklava in the city.

I had lunch today at Alminas CBD & the service was hands down, fantastic. Loved the chicken wrap & they have a great Breakfast/Lunch menu. Will definitely be my go to place for lunch, Thanks Team

It's always hard to decide what to eat here as the range is generous! They make good coffee and also have a catering menu. Focaccia and sweet potato fries to share is mint

I was meeting a friend for coffee and needed breakfast too. Alminas was in between breakfast menus but the chef kindly whipped me up some eggs and sausage with a really lovely salad and a nice soft bread roll. The coffee is great. Make sure you take a sweet something away with you.

Great coffee, great food and great service. I really enjoy coming here at any time of the day, whether it is to grab a coffee, to have lunch (the vegie platter is amazing!!) or for some sweet treats ($8.50 for a tasting plate of deserts - best deal ever!) The young woman on the counter is always super-friendly and makes a mean long black. :-)

Too much wait time and the lady on counter is not at all courteous. Bad customer service, no issue in waiting for your food however little courteous behaviors is not bad. Bad packaging of food.

I’ve heard all sorts of good things about Almina’s and I finally got to visit them during lunch. Their chicken wraps are soooo delicious and flavourful! The most important thing is it wasn’t greasy or fattening at all like you may find in some wraps. It felt quite light but full at the same time. My friends had the lamb and falafel wraps and they also really enjoyed it! Others had the pizza and kibbeh and they liked them too! Staff was friendly and welcoming. When we went to pay, you couldn’t resist the mouthwatering desserts they had display. I had to try some and for some takeaway - was delicious! Definitely recommended and may likely be one of my favourite lunch spots now!
