We tried the Experience cafe for the first time today. The hot chocolate was excellent, as was the raisin toast. We will be back. Staff friendly and obliging.
Located on hutt st near Oxfam bookshop, this unique café run by volunteers is pretty awesome. Their wraps and toasties have different cuisine types (e.g. American, Venezuelan, English etc) and I don't often see other cafés making wraps or toasties the way they make theirs. Considering how the place is run and operated by volunteers, the food and coffee are deliciously good and you can see that the volunteers try their best to serve. I would definitely recommend coming here.
This place is run by a community of people learning the workforce and it's a wonderful opportunity for youth in Adelaide which you feel lovely for supporting.
So be aware of this as the space is cute, but made for learning. The person who served me was absolutely lovely and was doing his absolute best to ensure I had a good experience. I had an American Chicken Ranch toasted wrap (premade, but toasted to order) and a strawberry milkshake.
Milkshake was lovely. What you expect a standard milkshake to be. The ranch wrap was nice as well, perfectly filling for a lunch time, however it probably needed some more seasoning.
Give it a go and take some time to support people that support youth in the community.
Excellent. Good food, well priced. A great place.
Went to Experience Cafe today for the first time. Loved the food we had and the great selection on the menu. Great set up for kids with a heap of toys out the back.Nothing was too much trouble for Nadine and the team. Even the dog was served a bowl of fresh water and some doggie treats. Would definitely recommend it for a relaxed atmosphere and awesome menu. We'll be back!
Yummy food, great atmosphere. Fabulous food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere - complete with a couple of couches to lounge in while you read the paper and watch the world go by through the window. Food includes savoury options such as amazing scrambled eggs (you'll know what I mean when you try them) with smoked salmon, and the incredibly flavoursome "Windy But Worth It" (!!) homemade beans, as well as sweet treats like the "Bugger the Diet" pancakes with berry coulis, banana and mascarpone. Omnomnom!
A great little cafe in a great location, this is the perfect place to either caffeinate before, or unwind after a trip to the Oxfam bookshop two doors down. The whole place is staffed by people doing work experience (hence the name) but I've never had a bad cup of coffee or sandwich on any of my (many) visits. On a nice day, sit outside and watch the world go by- your soul will thank you.
Decided to try it as I walk past it frequently and the italian toastie was great value, the customer service was on point and I found out it's an establishment that offers work experience to unemploymed to develop skills to make them job ready. Good meal for a worthy cause.
Such a cool little place. Good food and good coffee, the customer service is great as well. I go there all the time
Great little cafe making a real difference in the community! Good priced food and coffee. Friendly service. Super social enterprise!
The wraps and sandwiches are out of this world. Friendly staff and awesome coffee. 10/10 would recommend!
