Review Milkaholic - Adelaide

Dean Lucas
Good food but seemingly never open!
Warwick Conway
Nice location, but waiting over 30 minutes to be served cold food was disappointing. I think they forgot that they had customers that were sat out front and just left the food at the counter assuming we had left the outdoor section out back.
Iordan Kostadinov
nice food but not as good as other dessert place around
Rob Wallis
Great range of desserts and drinks with a nice atmosphere. A nice way to end a day.
sunset premonition
The food and desserts are BEAUTIFUL. totally recommend going there
Richard Seglenieks
Average coffee and very stingy avocado serves. Otherwise OK but nothing special. Plenty of better places around.
Carolyn Booth
A bit hit and miss, but mostly an enjoyable and delicious experience. The salted caramel shake we had was way too salty. Almost inedible. However, the kronuts are always a winner, and the low lit atmosphere is calming and enjoyable. The style and decor is eclectic and fun. The staff were good, but slightly awkward. It would be even better if they were a bit more confident and gregarious.

Came here on a sat night with the misses. We sat at the backroom, genre was arty/rustic. Ordered the cookie monster, Kronut Kicker shakes and serving of the food truck. Food hit the spot and did tbe trick 👍
Autumn
Poor service. Rude owner. Will never come back again. Ordered twice and ran out of the drinks we order. Have to order the third time. Kronut is soggy, burnt at the bottom and obviously fried in used oil.

Did not enjoy the desserts here. The hot chocolate were very thin and sweet. Puffle waffle were not consistently crispy. Kronuts were OK... None of the desserts gave me a "wow" experience. Wouldn't go back. :/

Came here a couple of weeks ago to try dessert then went back on the same weekend for brekky. It is such a quirky little spot with great pieces of art and knick knacks, a nice layout, but it's just a bit quiet. The service is really friendly and the menu is great, I wanted to try everything! The Nutella hot choccie was so deelish and I finally tried a Kronut (croissant and donut put together) I tried the maple bacon one and it said it had bacon and popcorn which would've been the right crunchiness with the sweet but it was in crushed in mini pieces in the maple so it just dint hit the spot. May have to do a berrylicious one next time.
Brekky is nice, some great choices and they do the bacon extra crispy which I love and a signature corn hash which was yum. The outside area is a lovely setting just needs a bit of music as it lacks atmosphere, but overall nice place. 👍

Been here last weekend and since we were a walk-in we were told that there would be a delayed service. I like the honesty in them telling us the truth. Having said that, how would things change if we did have a booking already. The same person would be taking the same order n would be cooked by the same person. Hence, did not like it that we had to wait for 40 mins to get our ordered. We ordered the big buoy and the bigger buoy brekky and the food was below average. The grilled tomatoes and kidney beans were very runny. There was barely any difference between the 2 categories of brekkies. The bacon rashers were way too crispy. The iced coffee had too much water. The hot cappucino was the only saving grace.
Overall, the experience was below average and i wouldnt recommend this place, even as a last resort.

Cute little place with great range of breakfast foods. Minus points for slow service and the weird bowl my meal came out in. Otherwise outstanding!
Leinad Diaz
Terrible wait time. We waited 30 mins for food and the manager was unapologetic when I asked for a refund, before our food arrived, because we wanted to eat elsewhere. I asked how long it would be and she said "the food is right there" and it was another 5 minutes on top of the 30 minutes. Absolutely not worth it if you have to deal with this terrible customer service.

Only been here twice for dessert in the evening. Kronuts are very good. Milkshakes so so. Puffle waffles weren't too appetising. Fondue nothing to shout about. Though the rest of the reviews suggest bad customer service,I have yet to experience this.

I had gone for breakfast on a Saturday at about 9:30am. We had ordered breakfast at 10am, and my breakfast wasn't served till 10:45am which I found just a little too long. The drinks also took a while to come out, I ordered a tea which took about 20 minutes to come out. Tea was very hot. I had the big bouy breakfast. I was worried there would be no taste without any sauce and turned out to have flavour and only down side was too much Rosemary. I absolutely loved their house baked beans, and my egg was hard poached but expected a soft one. I was disappointed it said sour dough and came out with multi grain and the bowl was very awkward to eat off of and would have preferred a plate. I had ordered a Hot chocolate and it was good, if was like a normal hot chocolate from a cafe and only $5 for a mug.
SKIFOODS
The desserts here are really innovative. They can be a little sweet. The service is vood but when it is busy the service slows a lot and on weekends they never seem to have eftpos.
Audrey Yap
I absolutely love this place. Their Kronuts are so unbelievably delicious! I tried the Cookies n Cream Kronut as well as their Smores Kronut and both were super good!
Evo Brown
above average prices
average service
below average food
we ordered chicken burger, vego burger, hazelnut hot choc, kronut and a cookie monster freakshake. disappointed with all of them.
Rosie
Mmmm...the Kronuts are delicious! The ice cream
selection is amazing! Made on the premises....yum! I had the mango Kronut with coconut. Very nice.
Mary
A quite cozy and relaxed atmosphere within the Milkaholic cafe. Very polite waitressing staff and prompt service. The menu is also very adventurous and offers a range of dishes. The only problem I have experienced when dining at this venue is that their eftpos is not always available.
Tel Arin
Peanut butter sundae was average. The peanut butter ice cream itself the peanut butter flavour wasn't strong enough. In my opinion the dessert was a bit pricy.

Continuing on from our dinner (at Hahndorf), we went straight to dessert back in Adelaide! And for the first time it was not San Churro (no hate)! This has been the third time I've been to Milkaholic, and we sure filled up their whole back seating area.

Third time being here, and once again I went straight to their Kronuts section on their menu. I am a huge Kronut fan, although there are better places that offer better Kronuts, I still enjoy having them here. This time I opt with the SMORE'S Kronut, which had choc chip ice cream and a marshmallow on top. The kronut has never disappointed me, and it once again delivered at a reasonable level. The kronut was nice and crunchy and went with the ice cream provided. Milkaholic's kronut though, feels more of a donut in comparison to other places as the kronut feels a bit dense, whereas other places have an "airy" feeling when you bite into it just like what you would expect when you bite a croissant. Other than that, the kronuts at Milkaholic is still quite solid, and is worth trying if you're a kronut fan like me!

Also a further note, their milkshakes are worth trying! They may look crazy with all these desserts on top of the drink (brownie, marshmallow, kronut, etc.), but the drink itself is the highlight, and its simply amazing.

Who's milkshakes brings all the boys to the yard? Milkaholic's!! It was a quite night when I visited Milkaholic because I was craving something sweet after a movie night. Located conveniently in walking distance from Norwood shopping centre, Milkaholic is definitely a must try if you are in the area! Desserts are presented nicely with an extensive choice of desserts. Out of all the kronuts I've tried, Milkaholic has came the closest to perfecting the intricate pastry. Overall, Milkaholic is a solid dessert bar with a great atmosphere.
A Bite Of Adelaide
where do i go when craving a quirky quick hot chocolate? milkaholic! awesome coconut hot chocolates, delicious creations such as cronuts and really cool designed place! dessert or breakfast? either way its a place to try

Milkaholic took the place of a café very I’m very fond of on Edward Street just off The Parade called Marmalade. Mourning the loss of the deliciously dependable breakfast joint, I’d visited Milkaholic a few times for dessert. This place has a stupendous dessert menu – the first place I’d ever tried a cronut, and home to many more creative sweet treats. Being called ‘Milkaholic’, it had never even crossed my mind for a savoury breakfast, or for breakfast at all. The ambience at night time with their sultry fairy lights and beautiful back garden area, lends itself perfectly to an after dinner cocktail or a dessert for two.

Okay, so this post has been sitting in my drafts for far, far too long. Time to get back on the 'updating the blog once a week' train. Starting with this review of Tony Tomatoes and Milkaholic. I love Ruby Red Flamingo, and Tony Tomatos is run by the same amazing people. This restaurant on O'Connell Street has a pretty big reputation for serving up some of Adelaide's best pizzas and I was very excited to finally have an opportunity to try them out. We arrived really early, the restaurant was empty apart from two other small groups, however it did get very, very busy just as we were leaving so I'd recommend allowing plenty of time if you don't have a booking. The restaurant itself was fantastic, modern and clean with tables spaced well and a very light, welcoming feel. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and we were quickly seated and provided with some totally addictive complementary green olives. For entree we ordered the lamb skewers (which aren't on the current menu). The meat was juicy, tender and had a really great char-grill flavour. The dressing on the small side salad was also amazing! We decided to share a pizza for main, and went with the 'Tony in Beijing' on a classic base (Tony's has several base options, including a wholemeal version). This pizza was a combination of basil pesto, mozzarella, roasted duck, capsicum, goats cheese and cos lettuce. The pizza arrived around ten minutes after our entree, and was hot and jam packed with plenty of toppings. The crust was perfection, no sogginess in sight, it was crispy but not burnt and had a soft, fluffy and slight chewy denseness that has given me a new found love of a thicker crust (I am usually a thin crust girl). The toppings were generous but well balanced and there was no excessive oiliness. The duck was divine, tender and full of flavour from an Asian inspired sticky glaze. The cos was an interesting addition, but it really made this pizza unique and complemented the rest of the toppings well, adding

Milkaholic more like sh!taholic. Worst breakfast ever. The eggs were still raw, the menu did not mention capsicum in the dish (which I am extremely allergic to) when I drew attention to these things the waitress responded "oh that's ok" and proceded to take my plate ! Just bad service all around -don't eat here

Awesome breakfast!. We drove past Argo which had a huge line on a Sunday morning. We sat down at Milkaholic straight away and took a few minutes to order. The food and coffees were brought out really quickly. I ordered the big breakfast which was awesome. Great food, great setting out the back and great service. Highly recommended.

Best breakfast on the parade. The menu is a bit different which is a gret change up. Try the breakfast burrito or baked eggs. Both delicious. Coffee is also quite good and it's never hectic which is great on a Sunday morning!
Pickyhunter
Fairly disappointing. We went there for desserts and ordered waffle fondue for two. The serve was so small, it was barely enough for 1. Good thing though as it's was plain average. A soggy waffle with toppings you can count and hot chocolate as "fondue". Had a couple of drinks as well, but not worth mentioning.

With so many other decent dessert places around. I highly doubt I'll be back willingly anything soon.

BEYOND BAD!. After previously enjoying Milkaholic, I had a bad meal. I wrote a very polite message in a private message on their facebook page and was ABUSED with this response......
Perfection is something we all aspire to, but human beings do make mistakes on occasions. Our explanations however you dismiss as 'excuses' are a genuine attempt to let you understand what happened was not intentional, as you stated your previous experiences with us have been great. Like we have explained if we were aware of your dissatisfaction at the time all remedies would be more than forthcoming immediately. It seems that the two original factors of your complaints ie hard eggs and inadequate beans have now escalated to a completely horrid meal that you have spent $50. Were your beverages awful? How was the bacon, Swiss brown mushrooms, toast, tomato? Was our staff at anytime rude towards you? Other than not hovering over you while you were eating...
It must be a great injustice for someone so infallible to tolerate a world of imperfection, we sincerely wish you all best and thank you for your former patronage

Great variety and awesome service. I've come to Milkaholic quite a few times now and each time is a great experience. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by friendly staff, given menus as seated straight away. Their dessert menu changes semi-frequently, so there's often new things to try out, as well as old favourites like the kronut - delicious! There is also a great breakfast menu available on weekends. I personally love the herbed mushrooms. Milkaholic is a great little cafe tucked away just off the Parade. Would definitely recommend this place!
Ymmas
Amazing tasting plate!. We had a girls date last night, four of us was getting suprised by the desserts. A great place for reasonably priced desserts inspired by contemporary flavour combos. We ordered a tasting plate to share, which tastes amazing once you try it.
Riz
Lovely dessert selection. We had cronuts for the first time and they were amazing! We will be back for breakfast sometime!
FoodChick
A cosy place. Finally I had a chance to come here one night for dinner and dessert. I had the pulled pork burger - which was good, but the spices were somewhat strong and over powering, and although it felt quite filling, you still weren't quite satisfied.

Enter the desserts, had a taste of the nutella cronut with ice cream which was tasty, and I had a plate of the fig and walnut pudding/cake with ice cream which was quite delicious and perfect for a cold night. To go with my dessert I had the hazelnut hot chocolate which tasted devine - like drinking a liquid ferrero roche! Yum.

I might go back to try their other desserts, but not their savouries.
Brittanie LaFrance
If you like your poached eggs completely hard- boiled and your orders to come out incorrect and at different times than your friends, then this is the place for you
Hope1502
Funky vintage interior. Fast service and pleasant friendly staff. Lovely food - recommend it!

Great service, great meals. The pork sliders are to die for. Dessert menu very creative and resturaunt has a nice relaxed comforting atmosphere AA++
Green Eggs And Ham
No one likes gritty spinach. My husband and myself have been here a few times but lately the food hasn't been very good....I had a meal that had gritty spinach, poached eggs that were hard, scrambled eggs that were undercooked, fried eggs that were overcooked, burnt toast, undercooked bacon.....Each time I have sent the food back and the look on the chef/owner's face says it all....We will not be returning ...no more chances for you!

We came to Milkaholic for dessert after some pizza. We particularly liked their "open" area round the back which made me feel like I'm in a tropical island. We tried their banana fritter which was very well done and the flavours on the plate went so well together. I also tried their milkshake but it wasn't anything to shout of. My partner had their panna cota which was unfortunately alil too bland. Overall, I thought they do decent desserts but nothing too fancy.
Rogie
Much meh-ness. Ordered the cheeseburger sliders and a fig and walnut dessert, took far too long to make the food and once ready the patties were burnt, the bread was badly sliced and the side of chips were cold. And as for my partners review of the dessert - "meh".
Pb3068
What a shocker... I order a big breakfast at a cost of $15.50 and I order breakfast for my guest. I order bacon and eggs, toast and tomato and it's $17.50. Go figure. No you just can't order bacon and eggs plus tomato!!! Not our policy. Get a grip and change your policy

The worst service I've ever had so far. We ask for recommendation, the lady get back to us 'they are all good' impatiently. The waiter was so rude when he trying to get the coffee from the counter, yelling at 'Excuse me' three times so impatiently as well. So uncomfortable with the terrible service at the beginning. Average food and dessert overall. Will never ever go back.

Sweet Sensation. Milkaholic's menu is impressive, complete with a large selection of drinks and a few savoury options. I tried the 'Lemon Pannacotta with Coconut Ice Cream' and my friend ordered 'Nutella Kronuts'. Both were excellent. I washed mine down with a hazelnut hot chocolate, which was creamy and delicious.
Anthony
Horrible service. We were waiting outside for a seat, then our time came to be seated inside, but as we sat this guy came up to us and said you have to go back outside and wait because someone with a group of 4 wants to use this table (we had 3 people). I own a restaurant and I do NOT tell my customers to get up and go wait outside because I want to fill that one extra seat on that table. Oh btw we initially waited 40 mins for that table then got kicked out after all that. Never going back there again. Terribly unprofessional.

Good for its price. Fig and walnut pudding was a winner. Kronut with lemon curd was a little too sweet. Service is efficient but not much more. I guess for a relatively cheaper price than other desert places, service cant be expected to be top-notch

Delicious, great place. Could use a few more warm dessert options on the extra cold winter nights. Lovely tho

Love this place!. FOOD: Really interesting menu. I had the Fig and Walnut pudding with caramel sauce and toffee ice cream. VERY NICE. My boyfriend had the Belgium Waff'es with banana and nutella, which he also really enjoyed.
AMBIENCE: Cute, simple decor. We went at night, and there were candles and fairy lights which were a nice touch.
PRICE: I regularly go to dessert bars, so I am used to the sometimes steep prices, but this place has VERY reasonable prices. You get a decent amount of food for your money! :)
Overall 9/10 :) Will definately be returning

Best Dessert Bar in Adelaide. Love it. Frequent regularly. Great desserts and at a good price. Always friendly service and prompt.

Absolutely amazing! I came in with my boyfriend and his friends thinking a dessert bar was too girly to take them but it was so cosy and modern, plus they would not shut up about how great the food was! the burgers were the best we have had! they filled us up but we couldn't say no to the sweet staff for dessert and glad we didn't. The waffles were so amazing and the hot chocolates were so delicious! on top of all that, it was well priced :) I will be coming back with more hungry people x

Possibly my new favourite place!. Last night I went to Milkaholic with some friends for dessert and what can I say? The food was absolutely delectable. My favourite? The strawberry kronut, I think I'm addicted to them now. I also managed to sneak a few bites of the fig and walnut pudding and the banana tempura from my friends and they too were exceptional. Along with my kronut I also ordered a hot vanilla chai and oh my gosh, it was a great pick me up for this cold weather not the mention the mug it came in! It was huge! I certainly got my moneys worth. Milkaholic has an atmosphere which is lively and infectious and the service is incredible. Everyone there was super friendly and polite. I certainly am a fan of Milkaholic and will be back for more soon!
Annie
I went to milkaholic for dinner and dessert last night with my friends and it was exceptional. The burgers were juicy and full of flavour, not to mention the delectable noshing plate, which my friends and I shared for dessert! The atmosphere enhanced the experience along with the friendly staff. I will definitely be visiting again soon for breakfast!
Jan
Nice dessert. I tried the Kronut thing. it was surprisingly good. i love the selection of cold drinks. lovely interior, friendly staffs. what else u need!

Great desserts, good service and the staffs are friendly. I love the atmosphere of the shop. This is a nice dessert shop in Adelaide. I will come back there again and again!!!

Service was like a retarded gibbon .....

Came for dinner, no cheeseburgers available, ridiculously over priced drinks, had to have fries and slaw for dinner and after spending 60 pp felt robbed... Rubbish. Good for dessert but I should have gone to the grotto instead. If you're a dessert bar then serve dessert don't branch out if you can't supply the demand. No bananas?! That's ridiculous.
Jenna
Horrible service, gross oily burgers and had run out of main meals and banana for our desserts very expensive not worth it!!!
Meggie
A happy place. Love to hang out with my friends in this cosy place! Never failed to find something new to try! massive selection of drinks with Good music, very friendly staff!
Definitely not a place with " expensive food & bad service" .
Takeout Temptations
Great atmosphere with great drinks and amazing desserts. Went to this place twice now and have not been disappointed on both occasions. First time I came here I tried their Chocolate Tart with a poached half pear and macadamia nut ice cream and man it was delicious! At first i thought that their portions were a tad small especially when I received a small slice of tart a big scoop of ice cream and half a medium sized poached pear but when i tasted the tart I was completely mind blown by how smooth and rich the velvety chocolate filling was. The portion was definitely more than enough and each separate component of the dish complimented each other perfectly.

The macadamia nut ice cream was interesting...I'm not completely confident that the ice cream was actually macadamia flavored because all that i could really taste was vanilla ice cream with a few whole macadamias mixed through. If you're ordering a Frappe, Milkshake or Iced Drink be prepared for a generous huge serving of deliciousness to come in a jar! Overall great place with friendly service, only wished that the menu had more 'mind blowing' unusual dessert options more like their Durian Black Sticky rice with Coconut Milk and Vanilla Ice Cream.
Woodyman08
Epitome of Rudeness!!!. Poor service, not only did they get our order wrong but insisted that it was what we ordered. They also kept on trying to get rid of us by constantly asking if we are done ("are you guys done?"), even though we were clearly still finishing our food, which they did not do with other customers.
David O
A first taste of the revised menu: Mint Lime Cheese Cake. Well done again Joyce!
This little gem in Norwood never fails to deliver on a great dessert coupled with great service. If you're wanting to chill out late in the evening, this is one of Adelaide's dessert bars that I highly recommend.

A huge hit. The pulled pork sandwiches are perfect - authentic flavour, satisfying texture. As an American expat, I know pulled pork, and the Milkaholic version stacks up really well against any I've eaten in the US. The grilled corn was fresh and highly flavorful, the cookies and cream smoothie was terribly moreish, and the atmosphere is both stylish and intimate. The potatoes were the only thing on the table that didn't impress. We were devastated that we were too full for dessert, but we'll be back for that sometime soon.
Sarah
LOVE IT. I actually first stumbled across this place by complete accident. Lucky for me that I did, as I have been back on numerous occasions...absolutely love Milkaholic! The Peanut Butter frappe is simply amazing and the Hot Fudge Sundae is to die for! The staff are super friendly, and all items are reasonably priced and served at a decent size. Highly recommended!

Haven't been back to this desert cafe for a while. But last night, I was shocked by their new menu. It just amazing. You can have a light meals there, the burger is very tasty n juicy. Home secret recipe, so fresh taste. Fusion food. Love it. Will go back definitely!!!!
Rachel
To smooch42: according to what u said, a kg of coffee beans($50)can make over 100 cup of coffee, and it sold for $3.80 per cup, do u think it is also very expensive for u?
Smooch42
The Korean tea was very disappointing. Tasted like the citron tea I get from the Asian grocery store costing $8 for a jar! The jar can make 20 cups and they sell a mug here for $5

Anti-Climax. Once a fan of Milkaholic based on past experiences, I was unfortunately left disappointed after my recent visit last Friday night. My 3 friends and I ordered the Chocolate Dipping plate to share (Deluxe size) as we were excited by the idea of having a few different sweets to dip in the fondue chocolate including cookies and popcorn. When we received it, there was no popcorn, and an extremely small spread of strawberries/dipping material for a "deluxe" size and $19 cost. Upon questioning where the popcorn was, the young waitress checked the menu and then informed us that they had ran out of popcorn and so replaced it with chocolate squares. Besides the fact that we were looking forward to the popcorn, we were disappointed that we were not informed about this lack of popcorn when we ordered, or at least when it was delivered to our table with an explanation of why we were now, instead, suddenly faced with having to dip squares of chocolate into chocolate. Additionally, there were only two cookies on the plate, despite being told when we ordered that this would be enough for 4 people, not to mention the standard of cookie we received- an extremely hard amaretti (an Italian, almond biscuit). Finally, the dipping chocolate tasted bitter and was not enjoyable even with the strawberries.
An overall an extreme anti-climax to the "deluxe" Chocolate experience we were expecting.

To Lynn: Hello Kitty Soup hasn't been off the menu for a very long time. I tried it in Late August , and now you r giving review at it, and a lot of description u mentioned about this item is so wrong! Have u really tried it or just fiction it ? Mmmmm, be genuine ppl!
Sue Lynn
Huge fan of dessert, so I usually expect pretty good stuff when I visit a new dessert place for the first time.

Big mistake. I should have gone expecting nothing.

The chocolate fudge was too sweet, and too concentrated for the ease of eating without being overthrown by how rich it actually is. And I seem to have successfully ordered the most ridiculous tasting item on the menu - the Hello Kitty soup.

I am not a fan of Hello Kitty so I can't say that I was disappointed that it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the cat, but the taste just made me cringe.

It arrived in a rather deep bowl, and you will find a scoop of ice-cream swimming in a pool of strawberry cream and honeydew ice-cream, apparently. Oh and you all get a handful of random chopped up fruits.

But that's it. Needless to say, my companion and I left without finishing our desserts at all, and won't be going back.

I'm not a 'hater', just a disappointed customer who was extremely excited to try out somewhere new. Hopefully things will look up soon.
Chris
First time here and definitely worth another visit..

Romantic dating place. We had heard about Milkaholic for awhile and finally went there this week. We were bowled over by the romantic atmosphere and cute rustic decor, what a pleasant surprise to find this little gem. On recommendation, we ordered the lime cheesecake and Greek Mess, yum! Our friend told us about her fave peanut butter smoothie there, fab! My boyfriend and I will definitely be back for another date night
4chillies
If you're seated out the back you will be in the dark but never fear, you will be issued with a wind up torch so that you can read the menu but you will be eating by candlelight. We had the tasting plate which had three generous sized desserts on it. Of the three the sticky date pudding was the letdown as it had a slightly burnt taste but the lime cheesecake and the "Greek Mess" were great.
GH
Nice dessert place but not impressed!. I went there and ordered the waffle and sticky date pudding. Love the decoration but the dessert tasted like a packaged waffle that heated up in the toaster. The ice cream is ordinary, nothing so special. They could have done better.
HZ
The worst crepe I've ever eaten! Tiny Crepe served in a huge bowl that is hard to eat, Ice cream that like eating chunks of ice.
Mashedpotato
Another Norwood Dessert Place. This place is nice. The turnover was fast so it was easy to get a table. The thick hot chocolate was very thick...I could of done with a bit more milk and at $5.50 it is one of the most expensive I have had, but I think they do use real chocolate. I ordered the date pudding...which is my favourite winter dessert. It was very nice, but the rum raisin icecream overpowered the pudding. I would of preferred vanilla. At $10.50 I think it was overpriced. My friend had the crepes he was not overly impressed, the other order was hello kitty soup. This was different, pretty to look at and quite tasty, but again not worth $10.50. Going to try it again, and decide later whether this or Aviary is the place to go on the parade.

A true culinary journey coupled with an ambiance Adelaide has been screaming for. I compare it easily to 'The Elephant Walk' because it's gorgeously intimate, and the considered menu presents you with desserts you have never dreamed of! There's fusion with flavour from all across the world, and the staff are delightful and professional.
If you don't go out of your way here, you will miss out on something magick our little city has to offer!
Stacey
Loved it!. Great quirky atmosphere, good fast service and delicious desserts. I had the banana toffee crepes and my boyfriend had the fondant with rhubarb. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. The serving sizes were small which was perfect for us as we ordered chocolate drinks as well which were super rich. Price is great too! Will definitely be back.
Camilla
MMMMM!!. After a friend of mine suggested this place to us, we knew we had to try it. My girlfriend and I went there for an after dinner coffee and dessert. They serve Ily coffee which was a very pleasant surprise, plus it was served in huge mugs!
Its a mix of Western and Asian dessert. We tried the Sunday and the Mauchi balls in ginger broth. Both desserts were delicious and a really good portion size for only $8.50.
Overall I was really impressed with the desserts and the staff. Seriously give this place a go, I know you wont regret it!
Jade
Been there for their dessert and weekend breakfast , thrilled to know there is a such quirky place exist in Norwood. Nice food with reasonable price, most importantly my boyfriend and me enjoy the atmosphere . Everytime go there, we both don't wanna leave, the staff make us feel so welcome, the lighting is so romantic, and the music they play is so soothing. I am telling all my gal friends about this place, they are all bringing their dates there now. The best dating place in Norwood.
FashionablyPlate
...Kronut was nice, though it was a tad tougher than I'd have expected from a croissant-donut fusion and the lemon curd completely overpowered the other flavours. Once I ate all the lemon curd on it's own, the maple syrup and Kronut combination was a real winner and perhaps they'd be best off having a lemon curd Kronut as well as a maple syrup Kronut, rather than lumping the two flavours together....

Milkaholic is a cute little dessert bar located on Edward Street, just off The Parade. Their specialty is desserts, however, they do offer a range of beverages and light snacks.
Saltysweetlover
I could not go passed ‘Moshing Plate 2’ that consists of durian panacotta , coconut ice cream, black sticky rice with coconut cream, and pandan sago with sticky palm sugar syrup. Compliment to the durian panacotta that has full of flavor and the heavenly creamy coconut ice-cream, I was on the other hand quite disappointed with the other two elements of the dish. The black sticky rice does not give me the ‘wow’ tasting I was looking for, it has an artificial sweetness after taste that I am not fond with. Pandan sago on the other hand was flavorless, even though the palm sugar syrup was extra sweet.
Eat Study Work
I'd say this was quite an average experience and don't think Milkaholic is on par with some of the other fantastic dessert bars in Adelaide. The food and drinks were nothing special and I won't be rushing back any time soon.

CRONUTS. Need I say more? Clearly, yes, for those who aren't familiar with the newest pastry craze. Cross between a croissant and a donut - croissant pastry cooked in a donut shape - and sounding like the name of a country's currency, the cronut started in New York and has spread rapidly across the world. I was so excited when I saw Milkaholic posting up that they would be serving these, and even more anxious to try it out when another friend bought some cronuts from another bakery . Soon enough an opportunity presented itself in the form of a friend's birthday, and to my delight, he chose Milkaholic.

A slight Asian influence keeps their range of desserts diverse and interesting. I wouldn’t go there again, simply because there are other dessert cafes I’ve not yet been to.

The name of the cafe sounded good, Milkaholic Dessert and Breakfast Bar. I wondered what they had to bring, the name itself sounded very cute. Fair enough, the sign on the outside caught my eyes, I couldn't help but to take a picture. The interior decor of the cafe was pretty amazing. A lot of pictures were hung up on the wall, and there were decorations that had something to do with 'moo'.

Moving from exterior to interior of the cafe, I found that this cafe is a good hang-out place, especially during summer as it provides an semi-open-air area for its customers. You can enjoy the dessert together with the pleasant breezy weather. Such a pleasure!
I Only Eat Desserts
There’s a new kid in town, Milkaholic! It has only been opened for a month and it is such a great place for catch ups with its lovely food, quirky atmosphere and it’s very own fire place. It wasn’t too loud as well so we could still have a conversation. I’ve never tried sticky date pudding before but my friend said she loves it so much that even maccas sticky date pudding was good. I had to give it a go after that and I did not regret it one bit, yummmm. The bottom of the pudding was soaked in caramel and it went well with the sticky toasted marshmallow at the top. The delicious combination of rum and raisin ice-cream with the macadamia nuts made me feel like I was eating a very unique crunchy biscuits. The thick hot chocolate was really fluffy and the cup reminded me of Max Brenner’s hug mug, it felt so cute to drink it this way. Love! Sticky date caramel pudding with torched marshmallows, rum and raisin ice cream ($10.50) J got this dessert and said it was a 1:1 ratio of chocolate to

A sweet treat after our Mexcan(t) feast at Milkaholics just off The Parade in Norwood.

Nothing on the dessert menu really tempted our tastebuds on our visit, in fact, most of the desserts on offer that night screamed out sweetness overload, so to steer away from consuming any extra unwanted calories for the night, we settled for a hot chocolate each with the hopes of getting it with some ‘mini choc balls (+$1.50)‘ to add some pizazz to our drinks. Unfortunately, they were out of mini choc balls so we were left with just your normal hot chocolates. I opted for the mint flavoured hot chocolate: strong and fragrant but overwhelmingly sweet; and at $5.50-8.00 for a hot chocolate, that’s a premium price to pay for an average hot chocolate! That is, if you’re willing to add the extras: soy milk +$1.00 and mini choc balls +$1.50… an extra buck for soy milk? Seriously?! :/
