Review Bings Chinese Restaurant - Adelaide

Amazing food and service. Fried dumplings are the best and all the meals are packed full of flavour. Great value as well.

When serving two people, ridiculous to serve their meals 20 minutes apart! Strange to forget to serve the rice with one dish (in a Chinese restaurant)??? Stranger even to try and charge for it. Why waste time with an apology. At least the staff are busy with their phones. Oh and the Uber-Eats orders seem the leave the kitchen right on time! Dear Owner, as you ponder the decreasing number of in-house diners, perhaps you can move to a back street location. Free up the space for operators who want to serve customers! Pity because I used to dine here regularly. A Ken's laksa was my favourite!

You know how some movies are so bad they're good? Well the service at Bings is so bad and its good. The staff forget to bring you drinks or cutlery, misunderstand your order, sometimes the dumplings for 2 people are served on a single plate, several times orders have been mixed up, as in some of the plate is a different kind of dumpling, and once the dim sims were still frozen when served! We call it a "Bings" moment and you simply have to see it to believe it. 2 stars because after all the times ive been here, the dumplings are still actually pretty good, when they're not burned or raw.

Ordered Traditional fried dumplings, spring rolls, Sweet Sour Soup, and Chicken Corn Soup. Soups arrived 10mins in after ordering, both very watery. No real soup base, very thin no flavor. 30mins for Dumplings, they were ok at best. Spring rolls never arrived, and we needed to leave before they could complete the order. Not recommend, I was very disappointed with the quality of food. Staff didn't seem to know what the were doing. Lots of areas identified for improvement.

Great value and food. On service, I understand as it was on new year's day, so very busy, but was attended at reasonable time. Food wise, ordered salty fish chicken fried rice and dumplings. The dumplings have 20 minutes wait and worth the wait.

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions now. Their food used to be really good until our last visit. We ordered the Satay chicken in a 'flaming pot ' the dish got served on a regular plate. Taste wasnt that great either. We also ordered the tropical fried rice which is highly recommended as per the menu. It was nothing more than a chicken and egg fried rice with a few raisins. Not satisfied on this occasion. When concerns were raised with the service team they could barely manage to put words together to make any sense.

Staff Friendly although never offered a water or a drink. Main came out before entree dumplings. Food very oily, Fried rice too oily and not cooked well, Dumplings seemed to be frozen not fresh and seafood flavour didn't taste fresh , took 20 mins to come, Rice used in this restaurant not nice cheap quality. No bowls offered with meals we had to ask for them. Food overloaded with MSG as very bloated and thirsty after meal felt very uncomfortable and sick for remainder of day ..indicative of too much use of Monosodium Glutamate. Restaurant should let patrons know there is MSG in their food as this can be catastrophic to a persons health.

MEDIOCRE FOOD AND AWFUL SERVICE My partner and I were initially attracted by the nice interior design and menu of this new restaurant. However, our experience eating at Bing’s Chinese Restaurant was unpleasant and uncomfortable. We ordered Wang’s Special dumplings and stir fried noodles with pork belly. However, the problems began even before our meal comes out. 1. UNFRIENDLY SERVICE The waitress was cold, unresponsive and spoke little beyond a curt ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Now, we understand that sometimes people have a bad day, so we didn’t hold it against her. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we are served the wrong dish, which was meant for another table. The waitress did not realise her mistake until we pointed it out to her after she had walked away from the table. 2. INCORRECT ORDER AND UNSATISFACTORY FOOD Our stir fried noodles were drowned in the chilli sauce and had minimal meat. The meat that was served was very thin and was few in quantity. While the noodles overall were passable, they were nothing special and we would not order it again. The dumplings we were served were not completely fried, and only one side was crispy. Half-way through our meal, we realised the dumplings seemed to be missing pork mince. We asked the waitress about the dumplings, and found out that she accidentally served us their vegetarian dumplings, due to “pressing the wrong button on the computer”. She offered to give us a free soft drink, which was unacceptable to us, as the error was on her part. She initially treated the issue like it was no big deal, stating it was “a popular dish anyway”, implying that we should have been happy regardless of getting a dish we DID NOT WANT. We discussed back and forth a resolution. As we had already eaten half the dumplings, my partner says “well we can’t get a refund, so-“. The waitress snaps at the word ‘refund’ being mentioned in a sentence and immediately snatches the dish and storms back into the kitchen, grumbling loudly in Chinese. She returns later, haughtily declaring that we could have our refund, even though we ate a portion of the dumplings. For the remainder of the meal, every time she passed the table, she would shoot glares at myself and my partner and make passing comments under her breath about refunds. CONCLUSION At the end of the day, our meal was lacking, however the poor and rude service will prevent us from returning. We highly discourage people from eating at this establishment if they want to be treated with respect and not scathing remarks and extremely poor service. This has been one of the worst dining experience we've had, and how the service staff treat their customers is unacceptable and disgusting. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.
