Review Shanxi Noodle Bar - Adelaide

Benedict Hoo
Shanxi noodle Bar is not located near all the other restaurants, but it was worth the short 2 minute walk haha The food was full of flavour and the noodles were cooked to perfection! The broth was also delicious and left us wanting more! The staff was very polite and helpful during our time at the restaurant. We will stop by here again if we were to visit Adelaide again.

I came in last night fairly close to their closing time with my 3 friends. I was sceptical as most places when you come in and order a meal close to their closing time they will either turn you away or they will make it very poorly. This place was anything but poor quality. The staff welcomed us in and gave us a nice and cozy booth. The food was cooked extremely well and it made our night. I'll definitely be looking to return to this lovely place. Thanks for the service and food guys!

Great place for a meal but you can be waiting a while for some things. Problem is that you don't know what will be quick and what may take 20 mins to turn up. When you do get your food though it's usually pretty great so can't complain there. Just keep in mind you can be waiting a bit especially if it's busy.

High quality noodle! That would be even better if they can turn the air conditioner on, it was 30 degrees on the day that we visited.

Bright and spacious restaurant for a quick fix of hot Noodle soup. The flat handmade noodles were done very well, Al Dante. Soup was heartwarming and broth like. Decent beef portions which were tender. Even their seaweed soup was very healthy. The hamburger meat was pretty good, bread a bit too dry. Affordable for the value you get. Not bad..

A place to visit of your looking for authentic fresh noodles made in house. Ordered a soup and a dried noodle to try. I would say to try Dan Dan noodles, the sauce is good. The beef soup was ok, not a wow factor. I would come back to try their other dry noodles on menu.

Yummy cheap eats with a no-frills feel. We had a beautiful seaweed salad and pork dumplings. Spent $20 to feed us both. Would definitely come again!

Worst dining experience in 9 years straight. Arrived by 6:16PM only to wait until 7:06 and still not being served the food, dining in in this restaurant gives you no priority what so ever over the takeout orders. I know this is theoretically not wrong, but it's just about the most frustrating thing that could happen, sitting in a restaurant having ordered nothing but some noodles and having to wait an hour for it. This isn't a one-off instance as well, a month ago we arrived at 5PM just when they opened, and still waited for over 30mins. To whoever looking to dine in here, just be ware that you may be in for a LONG wait before getting served some of the simplest food to cook.

For a noodle restaurant that advertised hand-pulled noodles, these were not chewy or fresh at all and tasted pre-made or bought. The prices were okay but some dishes were super oily and the quality was sub-par at best. Was originally recommended this place but unfortunately will not be going back as there are better places in Adelaide.

You will notice a marker on the table - this is how you order - by ticking the boxes on the laminated menu. I could not go past the Chinese hamburger, dumplings (of course), the signature beef soup with handmade noodles and the Dan Dan noodles. Be warned, serves are generous and we couldn't finish it all. Definitely try the hamburger (delicious), dumplings were great and the beef noodle soup broth was rich. Food came out quickly.

Best noodle place in town! Staffs were all very polite, noodle was on point! I will give ten stars if I can! Price was reasonable too! Will definitely visit often.

Great atmosphere and dining experience! The restaurant decorated in a traditional Chinese Style. Love it! Food is so tasty. I like Sliced Beef Noodle Soup the most, it's full-bodied good! Will definitely go back again.
