Review Arriba Grill - Adelaide

Ordered Nachos online today, got them home, extremely dissapointing. Considering I used to work here and we had some of the best Mexican around, what I got today was awful. Paid for double chicken and got hardly any, the chicken tastes way different from what it used to, and I never got the chipotle mayo I ordered either. Plus the fact the tomato salsa I received is so old it's gone mushy. I keep coming back because I used to love the original food but the last few times haven't been worth it.

Very disappointing. I ordered a burrito with pork, salsa and sour cream. It arrived with none of those things. It was just a sad looking wrap with nothing but rice, beans and guac. My friend ordered vegetarian nachos with salsa and they forgot the salsa. I just don't understand how they can be so hopeless. Also, don't get "vegetables" instead of meat because that doesn't mean variety, it just means eggplant but for the same price as meat. TL;DR don't expect to get what you ordered. Terrible experience. Would not recommend.

Very average.. I paid $15 for a bowl via ordering online and wasn’t happy with the portion size. Mexican is my fave food and I know plenty of places that when you ask for extra and pay for extra they give you extra.

I really wish there was a place down south that did food as good as this! It's a bummer we have to drive 40 minutes for the best burritos around. Edit: it won't let me reply to your response, I honestly can't remember who served me I have been there many times and had amazing service everytime! We live far south so Aldinga beach, we would love for there to be an Arriba to be closer to us, even if it's still a 15 minute drive 100% worth it!!

When I was charged $16 for a vegetable and bean Burrito I thought “this Burrito better be either coated in gold or be magical”. Turns out it was indeed a magical burrito, with its magic powers being crippling stomach pains subsequently followed by a period of 24 hours where you dare not stray more than around 20 feet from a toilet. So to summarise, the food here is more expensive than buying laxatives but twice as effective. Although it was apparently filled with nuclear waste, the burrito was quite big and was prepared pretty quick.

Staff are friendly, ordering's a breeze. The general vibe of the shop needs work though. Went on a Friday night & it looked like it wasn't even open. Dimly lit & no decorations. People were coming in but it just felt like it was on its last legs? Especially compared to the eateries next door. Plus, the burrito was awful. There was a weird cold patch and the chipotle mayo tasted off.

Arriba was our favourite Mexican takeaway joint, but it's gotten progressively worse over time. Could be a result of new management. The quality of the ingredients, the preparation of the menu items, and the service (including the online ordering never working) have all significantly decreased while prices have gone up. Seems like corners are being cut all over the place to save money.

Decent food but the people who work there seriously need to pay attention to what they are doing. Ordered a bowl with chicken but got no chicken. Thought I would give it another go and ordered a pork bowl with guacamole but got no guacamole. I know I ticked the box on my order form so how hard can it be. Extremely disappointed!

Terrible. I ordered on Uber Eats a burrito and I got lettuce and sour cream on it. So disappointed that I got no salsa, jalapenos or anything else. ***Buyers beware*** you won't get anything halfway decent from this place.

Arriba used to be amazing but it seems a lot has changed. Service was pretty slow despite being the only ones in the restaurant and just ordering two bowls. Sizes seem to have gotten smaller as corn chips take up 1/4 of the bowl (still hungry after). Chicken was alright but not as flavoursome as it used to be. Beef was basically inedible, SO dry - regret paying the extra $4 for extra meat. Overall not worth the money.

We ordered Arriba through the UberEATS app. The food we got was different to what we ordered, and stone cold. My burrito that was supposed to be an enchilada was so full of gluggy black beans it was inedible even after I heated it up myself. I called and spoke to a lovely girl who said they'd had a rough night, and that they'd credit my account and was very apologetic. However, a week and a half later, and no refund. I probably would've returned given the great service, but after being promised a refund that never arrived, it's unlikely. Bad food and bad service recovery is a double no from me.

For someone that can tolerate chilli, I found the Arriba sauce was super spicy! I only ordered the mild sauce and couldn't eat the rest of the burrito towards the end! Generous proportions however! Recommend the beef burrito and beef nachos if you go.

My family and I absolutely love Arriba Grill! The staff are always friendly and fast, the burritos are HUGE and the chipotle sauce is exceptional!!!

Awesome burritos. Such an easy ordering service however $15 for a burrito is a little steep. I dislike when place charge +$2 for guac, sour cream or cheese - they're the best part! I did however love the burrito and it was so spicy. They have a great hotsauce/salsa.
Arriba is more for takeaway than dining but none the less worth the cost!

Arriba Grill is tasty, but for the simplicity of the 'put together' meals (much like Zambrero's and even Subway 'esque') you have to wait a fairly excessive time for food.

The ordering is different as well. You fill out a tickbox form and submit that to the cashier and wait for it to be made. It's still made out the front and probably would be a lot easier if people just stood and told them what they wanted as it was made. But hey. I don't know. I definitely wouldn't be able to run a restaurant!!

The flavours are great, we definitely keep coming back, I just don't love the ordering system :)

Sometimes you have to go cheap and Arribas Grill is certainly not expensive, except maybe when you add all the extras, which I did and then it was expensive. It is tasty though, and pretty big burritos. Nachos have got plenty of toppings and all the meats are pretty tasty. Service time was on the extra slow side with 2 burritos and nachos taking over half an hour. Can't say I am sold on the ordering system either. You have to fill out a card but I guess it stops possible mistakes on the order. I've eaten here maybe 5 times and though I haven't rated very high the food is tasty. I've just had better is all and know there is better out there.

I quite enjoyed your food!
The texture was right, the flavours were fulfilling and the customer service was good.
I plan to eat there again.

it was amazing it had great taste and many flavours to add to the great taste and it was packed well and it was just good the employees were so friendly :)

I came to Arriba Grills for an excursion with my school and i have to say that it was one of my favourite excursions ever! The store was small and quaint, the hospitality was great and the food was even better. I am glad to say that I will be coming back again :)

We came here for an excursion, i was impressed with the service, three dollars for drinks is well worth it, the food is packed with flavor and packed with ingredients i was full before i even finished the burrito

would defiantly eat there again

Dissapointing. Slow service and a very poor excuse for a burrito, flavourless and cold with a very small portion of chicken, not what I was expecting from a Mexican take away restaurant.

Average Food, Terrible Customer Service. Waited 40 minutes for my order and no recognition of the fact I had been waiting longer than anyone else. Customers had come and gone while I was waiting. Do yourself a favour and avoid the guy with the dreads.

Too stingy on the ingredients. $12 for a tiny burrito?! Absolute joke. For that amount of money I expect a bigger and more filling burrito. For those in the area I highly recommend skipping this restaurant and going next door to Jin's bibimbar where you'll get your money's worth.

Gross.. Do yourself a favour, Go to Zambreros instead.

Slow Service and worst Adelaide burrito. Took us about 40 minutes from when we ordered to receive our take away order... even though it was relatively quiet, their set up just means that it takes way too long to produce one order. When we finally did get our meals it was soggy, I don't know how you manage to cook rice wrong... but they did. Will never go back.

Absolute rip off, even when you order one with double meat it's still not filling, serious waste of cash, if you want a decent burrito go to zambreros

45 minutes for a tiny burrito. This place used to be good. Big burritos, cheaper and better.
why would it take 45 minutes? Sure they were busy but they only made about 10 dishes in 45 minutes. Seriously I could have done it in 2 minutes. It's all there in front of you. Three people working there, one girl making everything two guys looking confused. This place has gone downhill and I wouldn't go there again.

I really wanted to like this place, i love mexican food, however AG was disappointing. I've been twice hoping my first experience was an anomaly, but no dice. I've had burritos and they were unbearably bland. I felt a bit cheated that I paid about 12 bux, a bit of cashola, for what was essentially a rice laden brick. Unfortunately the meat was bland too. Come to think of it I can't even remember the salsas...so they mustn't have been that great either. The good thing about this place is that it uses organic ingredients and it has a Nintendo to play while you're waiting.....
Smp89
Bland, chicken burrito had no taste to it whatsoever, most likely because it was filled with flavourless rice. Salsas had hardly and kick to it. Not the first time I've been disappointed by the food here.

Fabulous - tasty, cheap, healthy. So glad this place is nearby. have dined in twice and had takeaway once. Everything we have had is so tasty. The bowl option makes a good lower carb alternative as the burritos are massive. Staff always happy and welcoming. So much better than other takeaway options.

Muchos Buenos!. This place does fantastic burritos, enjoyed the very easy and fun way to order, the short wait for food, and can't not mention the retro Nintendo gaming available for customers! Definitely will come back here more.

Pleasantly surprised. Didn't expect to find a little gem outside of Adelaide usual food district. As soon as walked in we were welcomed and talked through their menu and ordering system. A novelty but not so considerate on the environment. Maybe a iPhone app in the making? Loved the freshness and the fact it's to my liking as I chose it. Will come back and try different combo. Really liked it.
Ali Beach
Very limited menu, and a set up like a stall at the fringe, not a proper shop. Everything about the burrito was bland: the chicken, the lime rice that seemingly had no lime flavour, the beans and even the hottest choice of salsa failed to bring flavour to the burrito. It's a shame, as it's great they are organic, but I think the really need to tweak their recipes. On a positive note, the burritos were wrapped very well - it did not unwrap or dribble sauce at all, which is usually par for the course with burritos.

Great value. Delicious. Very good value as the burritos are huge! The guy serving was really friendly and helpful too. Can't wait to go back.

Yumm, I came here on a Sunday and as I don't eat gluten or grains I had a burrito in a "bowl". Bit pricey for what you get but with the organic/sustainable kind of labelling, I'd expected it and am willing to pay for it. The guy working was very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed my food. Not huge range of choice but nice for a fairly light lunch when you know that's what you want, perhaps more satiating with the burrito itself? I'd go back, definitely.

Fresh Mexican burritos much like a sandwich. Hi Neil,

Im sorry to hear you were disappointed and Im glad you let us know.

Our organic burritos are served warm as opposed to hot with the tortilla heated for less than 10 seconds, our meat, beans & rice fillings kept at 70 degrees and then all other fillings, salsas, lettuce, cheese, sour cream & guacamole served cool between 1 and 4 degrees. This combination of mostly refrigerated and lightly heated ingredients makes for a fresh Mexican burrito that is closer to a sandwich than say a Greek yiros or kebab.

Perhaps a different choice of ingredients or an alternative main filling like beef or chicken may be more to your liking. I'd be happy to look after you should you choose to return. We could even sit down and eat together, enjoy a drink and chat further. I'd be really happy if you came back for another shot at something else and I'd genuinely hope you would be happy the second time around.

Kind regards,
James

All customers are given a menu, you write your name and tick a few boxes, and your order is prepared. It’s actually quite simplistic and clever if you think about it.

It does cost nearly as much as the four burritos, but damn it was great and why the hell not…
