Stumbled upon this place as we wanted F&C at the beach in Altona. Wasn't aware it was so highly recommended. Everything was perfect. The fish (grilled flake and blue gren) was superb, as were the potato cakes . Standard F&C prices, which is amazing with the quality of the food. Definitely going back.

Definitely our new go-to place for fish and chips ... in the West...

Fresh seafood, crunchy chips and delicious potato cake/dim sims.

Owner, was really friendly too ... keep up the good work guys.

This is my absolute favourite fish and chip shop. The shop is clean, service is great, prices are good, the fish is fresh and the portion sizes are spot on! I recommend the grilled barramundi and I have fallen for the Hamburger with the lot! Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, yummy chips (get chicken salt) and big tasty flakes!! Also try the mars bar in batter. They are yummmmmmmyyyyy and are a great size.

Way better than "average". Oil clean. Very good crisp chips. Some criticism of their potato cakes on this page. As a newish Altona resident have probably bought a feed at Civic about 20 times; never had a soggy or disappointing potato cake. Fish much better than an average fish and chip shop. Genuinely fresh calamari strips (non of the reconstituted rubbish that is so common in other places). Magnificent scallops and can get beautifully fresh oysters.

Best fish and chips in town!
Literally the best potato cakes I have found in the area! Everything tastes fresh and not clogged with oil, the shop is clean and the staff are friendly.

The only thing missing is pumpkin cakes on the menu!

Excellent fish and epic potato cakes . Great service, and reasonable pricing. Just wish the chips were hand cut or something - they're pretty stock standard
