Absolutely loved our experience here. Came here as a group of seven and they happily accomodated us by rearranging the tables. Reasonably priced food and friendly staff. We ordered the fat boy burger, the steak sandwich and tacos. We loved all the food. The fat boy burger was packed, as expected, but the flavours all complemented each other well. The steak sandwich was a lovely smoky flavour and the caramelised onions really brought out a sweet touch. And the steak was medium, not dry and still very juicy. Tacos were great too, however there is only two in a serving and not enough for a hungry person. An extra taco would've made it perfect. Overall we loved the food and the whole experience and would happily return if we were in the area.
Went there for breakfast, good quality and arrived quick. At first it looked like they forgot the feta cheese in the meal, asked them about it. They noted that it’s in there but added extra anyway without extra charges. Good service
Stopped in for a quick coffee and looking at he menu regretted not coming in earlier for lunch! The coffee was really nice and reasonably priced, and the milkshake was nice! Will be back next time we are in the area for lunch!
We stayed in Apollo Bay for one night and came here for breakfast the following morning. Could not recommend this place anymore!! We ordered four different dishes and all dishes were equally as tasty! I added a side of smoked salmon to my dish, and it was delicious! Would 100% recommend! The staff were also very friendly and helpful, checking in on us! If your in the area I would recommend popping into this place!

We had the Potato Rosti which had house smoked salmon, asparagus, eggs, amazing dill fraiche. Bruschetta with feta, eggs shallots, child, coriander.
Both which were divine.
Pancakes and Big Breakfast also great and more like regular cafe dishes if you don't like the fancy pants food :)
Best coffee in Apollo bay. Friendly staff. Tasty food. Recommend the house smoked salmon! One of the most pleasant hospitality experiences I have had since being on holidays. Very refreshing! Heads up - cash only.
Food was fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that it is very over priced for what you are getting. $12 for a cheese burger without fries and shoes string fries to boot. Is excessive. The same applies to the $25 fish and chips. Small piece of grilled barramundi with salad to hide the fish size. Considering we ate lunch at 1pm on a Saturday during school holidays, the restaurant was pretty empty. Which I believe would have to do with the pricing.
Loved Breakfast Burger. Pancakes were to die for & coffee excellent. People obliging and helpful. Had a great stop over breakfast by the bay on the Great Ocean Road. Thanks for a great start to the day!
They seem to specialise in burgers and hotdogs. Both were really nice. Nice and friendly staff with a large selection of beers and other beverages. Surprising that they could only take cash. Onion rings were a bit too "crispy" but the burger itself was good.
Delicious!!!!. Drove down the coast on a lovely summer day, stopped in at scorched for lunch. The burgers were very tasty & well presented, well worth the $. The staff were lovely & made sure we were well taken care of. Would highly recommend!

We were in Apollo Bay for a couple of days. After a disappointing first day breakfast at another place, we selected this place as it was the only one that had empty tables, and the food looked good.
We ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes and Scrambled eggs with bacon over sourdough toast.
It took around 30min to get the food, and I was just hoping that the wait was worth it… once the food arrived and with the first bite, I knew that I underestimated this place! The pancakes were honestly out of this world! Nice & buttery, with enough syrup that it did not ruin the natural sweetness of the pancakes.
The scrambled eggs with the bacon were equally tasty and generous in quantity. Bacon was perfectly cooked, and the eggs were soft & fluffy. Great combination with the pancakes if you wish to mix both plates.
The coffee was decent, and the staff were patient & friendly.
This will definitely be the only restaurant I’ll come back to if I visit this little town. Don’t let the name fool you. They make delicious breakfast!
This place is one of the best caffe in Appolo Bay, The friendliness of staffs are unbelievable, we've been served by kind hearted person named PAM and she made our day and trip even more wonderful despite we have been there on a busy weekend morning but it didn't drop the quality of the service and foods. All food ingredients are fresh and the breakfast special was amazing.
Highly recommend this place.

I ate breakfast here twice while staying in Apollo Bay on the weekend. The staff were so friendly, the cafe was warm and cozy and the food was delicious! We loved everything we had both times. Will definitely visit again next time we are on the great ocean road.
Highly rate the avo toast and the freshly squeezed orange juice!
In my two night stay in Apollo Bay (in which I went to restaurants and cafes for every meal), Scorched Grill was possibly my favourite restaurant visited.
They were very accommodating to dietary needs and had lots of options available. They have extensive breakfast and lunch menus and everything is well priced. I was very pleased with my gluten free bacon and cheese roll, and my partner enjoyed fluffy and rich pancakes.
Customer service was positive- and I thought I should mention that the cafe is no longer cash only but does now offer eftpos (after reading previous reviews that said it was cash only).
Overall a great cafe and I would definitely recommend it!
Wonderful cozy and warm corner to have a brekky with my love one after finding other cafe closed. Thanks to them to stay closed so that we can find this amazing place. Big thanks to the amazing friendly staff wearing a big smile on face and been very welcoming.
Had the breakfast special - French toast with ricotta and it was one of the freshest ricotta I’ve ever had! Great vibes and very cozy, especially on a cold winter morning!
We went here for breakfast after a local told us it was the best breakfast in town. It was truly good. Great service and generous portions. We barely needed lunch.
