I've been here on 5 occasions and the food has not disappointed. One of the best Chinese meals I have had in Brisbane, the honey chicken is a favourite.
In my opinion, this place is Brisbane's best kept secret. Very authentic Chinese food. Great service and decent wine list. Be sure to ask for their home made chilli paste on the side, if you are spice inclined. My favorite dish here is steak and black bean stir fry. Another must try dish is their combination short and long soup. I have been a regular for few years now and will definitely be returning.
We have been coming to Arana Court for over 20 years but moved away and then moved back to the area recently. Even when we lived half an hour's drive away, we often got the urge to come and have a meal at Clarence's! It had been a few years since our last visit, but as we have just moved back into the area, we were keen to come again. When I rang to book, I asked if Clarence was still here ... On hearing that he has retired and Arana Court is now in the hands of his daughter and son-in-law, I wasn't sure if it would be as good. What a fantastic surprise - the food is every bit as good if not better than it used to be!!! Will definitely be coming back! Try it - you won't be disappointed! :-)
Best Chinese in the neighbourhood. I judge a Chinese restaurant by its black bean sauce...and this place passes with flying colours! We've tried lots of things on the menu over the years and have never been disappointed. They don't have tofu on the menu but if you ask for it, its delicious. Highly recommend!
Great service, great food!!. The staff dealt with an idiotic customer superbly, and my food was as lovely as always!!
I live a twenty minute drive away, but its the only chinese I'll eat. After working in a local chinese takeway during high school, I'm a bit fussy ;)
My family's favourite local restaurant. This is my family's favourite local restaurant. It is a little more expensive than some Chinese takeaways, but the food is high quality, and with some more unusual dishes.
Take away for affordability. Love the food there and always good portions, staff are friendly also. Eating is really expensive compared to take away which is a shame as theirs means when we eat out we don't go there, we can afford it but think it is over priced. Love the satay's...
We went for the first time tonight. Family of 5 and we had the Banquet 'B' and an extra serve of honey chicken. Delicious food and friendly staff. Kids were very happy with the food too. Will definitely be back.
GOOD CHINESE FOOD. This is our favourite local Chinese. The shandys are enormous and serve 2. Delicious food which I have never been disappointed in. One of the best items on the menu is the special fried rice. I could eat that all by itself. The food is not necessarily cheap but it is qualtiy. Restaurant is good - service attentive but not overwhelming. The restaurant even went and cooked a special dish that my mum wanted for her 80th birthday celebration.
