A place that caters for singles or couples but not large groups. Just when I was craving for a warm soup dish after a long day at work, this place provided me comfort I needed.
Best Vietnamese in the area for sure! The staff are great, they always treat us in such a friendly, warm manner. The restaurant is cute and cosy, however whenever I go past it's always busy - Saigon Street Eats is super popular with the locals and for good reason.
I always order the Honey Soy Chicken Bun (vermicelli) as it's so delicious that I can't seem to venture out and try something different. It's filled with chicken which makes it great value. I usually order extra vegetables with it too, and they do give you a good amount which is why I'm happy to pay for extra. The Chilli Fried Tofu is delicious too.

So great to find a casual Vietnamese place with vegan options! My dad and I shared some dumplings to start, which were delicious, and we each had a shitake mushroom and tofu pho. The pho just needed a bit of added chilli and it was the perfect meal for a cold day. The service was pretty quick too considering it was quite busy. Highly recommend!

We had to pick up some fresh oysters from a chef friend of ours in St Kilda and this place was on the way, so we thought why not.
We shared a Prawn and Pork Rice Paper Roll which was nicely done with fresh ingredients and a delicious dipping sauce. It could’ve been better if the pork wasn’t so thin and scarce. Still a good start nonetheless.
After that came the chicken and prawn spring rolls. Labelled on the menu as Mrs Nguyen’s Famous Homemade Spring Rolls and rightfully so, they were sen-sa-tio-nal and the best Vietnamese spring rolls we have had by far! They were so good we could’ve easily smash down another serve!
Next up were the Chilli Fried Chicken Wings with Sriracha Mayo. Initially it seemed a little steep at $4 a pop, until we realised they were actually pretty large wings. They were absolutely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but there wasn’t much flavour in the wings themselves and definitely needed that Sriracha mayo to bring it home.
We both had the Phở with Rare Beef and Beef Balls and as usual, requested for the beef slices on the side. With good meat to noodle ratio, the beef was indeed fresh and the broth was nice and subtle. It did however, taste and look more like chicken broth rather than beef, but no dramas as it was still pleasant.
Service was friendly and courteous from the start and we appreciate being asked how our meals were. Great find overall.
It’s a big call but I think this is the best pho I have ever had. I ordered from Uber eats so I can’t say anything about the service but it was ready quickly and the pho was so flavorsome. I was so full but I could of kept eating it because it was so delicious.
Love this place. Many great options for vegans which is ideal. The pho wasn’t too salty, I’m salty enough so this was rad. Great service too
Beautiful contrast of texture, flavor and temperature. The pork was grilled perfectly, tender, juicy and full of flavor that’s so deep into the meat.
With the drizzle of the sweet and sour sauce, the vegetables were very pleasant to eat as it is crunchy, nutty yet so fresh.
Noodle was thin and delicate, perfect companion as a backdrop to all the fireworks that went before.
Oh my goodness. The Banh Mi was absolutely delicious, the mix of pickled vegetables with the warm chicken and delicious sauce was just divine. Plus, it’s extremely affordable and will fill you up! The only downside is that I will now be craving this 24/7 because it was just that good.
The people at the counter were so sweet and really friendly, which is lovely to see on a cold Melbourne afternoon.
This place has such incredible comfort food that won’t leave you feeling groggy. Sounds really weird, but that one meal made my day so much better.

I really enjoyed the mushroom and tofu pho I got delivered off Deliveroo! And this is coming from an avid meater. Loved it. Super keen to try some other things on the menu.
Cheap place with really good food for overwhelmed weeknights, etc. No alcohol. Superbly flavoured broth. Fresh and textural everything. Kept a bag safe for me when I left it behind once; I had to triple force a big tip for that before they would accept it 😁
I currently have to restrict dairy and soy from my diet (breastfeeding an allergic baby) and the team at Saigon Street Eats went over and above to discuss the menu, work out together what I could have, offering adjustments to sauces where possible and then even calling me back when the chef advised on additional information. Then when the food arrived it was all labelled with allergy advice (my partner ordered items that I couldn’t eat). All this and it was all absolutely fresh, extremely delicious and even still crunchy by the time we got it back to eat. Wonderful all round.
Very decent pho, comparable to the ones in Footscray, Richmond or Springvale. The soup was tasty and full bodied. The beef was nice and tender.
I had lunch combo A for $18 (Bahn Mi, spring rolls and pho cup) and I have to say wow! So delicious and friendly staff. I would definitely come back! Highly recommend this place!
Love the dumpling soup. The vegan broth is full of flavour but not as salty as many others. We eat here weekly.
Ordered the cup size pho while my husband ordered the Large size pho. This is the best pho we have so far! The portion is generous.
The food is great but EVERY time I get the Pho takeaway they don't include the sauces and even the leaves, lemon same chili.. So disappointing when you get home and it's all missing!!!!!
