The decor and ambience is warm and welcoming, and the menu does give the impression it will be a special meal, yet the prices are on par with your local Thai. Loved the service at this small Thai restaurant on Darling Street, and will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Stumbled across this Thai restaurant one night in Balmain and so happy we did! The food had so much flavour and was great value for money! Will definitely be returning to try more dishes.

With Restaurant Moon recently reinvigorating my interest in Thai food, a well-timed mailbox menu pamphlet saw me head in to Pepper Seeds in Balmain. The flyer indicated they had a few dishes that extend beyond the usual suburban Thai standards. The restaurant, set on a quiet bend in Darling Street, takes up the ground floor of a narrow two-storey terrace. It’s kept wide open to take advantage of the balmy autumnal evening, allowing diners to appreciate the star filled sky.Inside, low rafters are made into a feature with a metal shabby chic chandelier hung over the long central table. One wall is paneled with wood, while the other is left as bare red brick. The lighting is low and moody, in contrast to the service, which is sunny and sweet. “The mussels we make with a basil sauce inside,” our waitress volunteers when we show an interest in the menu cover photo, a dish called Mussel Delights ($19.90). Eaten here lots and have not had a bad meal here. Went here with a group of six last night, had the duck salad which had a good kick and the curry. Food is a good size and perfect for sharing. Staff are friendly and obviously it’s getting more and more popular as it was v busy as we left.
I've always had a enjoyable experience dining here. Service is ok, and the food is quite good. The green curry is my pick from the menu. Can usually get a table without a booking without too long of a wait.
Affordable and delicious Thai food. Duck Pad See Ew and Duck Mandarin were amazing! Service was friendly. Great atmosphere, lovely setting.
So glad I found this little gem in Balmain. A modern funky fitout to accompany the modern funky food. I love betel leaves, they are my Thai tacos. Massaman curry is delicious and the roti that comes with it is soft and flakey.
Definitely worth a visit, date night or just a mid week dinner.

We were a group of about 12 and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It's a small narrow restaurant and I was expecting it to be noisy but it wasn't as I think the decor absorbed the sound.
One of the best Thai restaurants that I have been to in Sydney because they have amazing food with a cozy ambience. The menu shows much creativity in authentic dishes. They put it some Western twist in the presentation but the Thai flavours are still there. Would definitely come back again.
