We purchased a Scoopon for $59 and this included share entree, main and dessert each plus a glass of wine each.
To be honest, I was a bit anxious about going. We had friends who went and they weren’t that impressed plus the reviews here aren’t overly positive. Consequently, our expectations weren’t very high.
We shouldn’t of been worried. We had a great meal and definitely worth the $59 we paid.
The starter was meatballs with a side of bread. This was very tasty. Meatballs were moist and bread was tasty. Only one small thing - it wasn’t that hot. I’d like it a little hotter but my husband didn’t mind.
The mains were simply delicious. Fresh, flavoursome and decent serves. The gnocchi was home made and so soft. My husband says the beef cheek was tender and delicious. Not overly rich which was nice.
The desserts were lovely. Nothing too exciting but we were pretty full so we were kinda eating it for the sake of it. Ha ha
Atmosphere wise - it was nice. Nothing too flash but comfortable, nice lighting and soft music. I wasn’t a fan of the actual music but we didn’t care much about music anyway.
Toilets had no paper (upstairs) but that’s hardly their fault given the stealing and shortages atm. Disabled toilet did have some so that’s all that matters.
The staff were polite, friendly and easy to talk to.
I guess our only real gripes were we felt a little rushed as we eat slow but it was a late sitting so that’s fair. The other was when we went to pay for my husbands 1x spirit ($9) - they don’t do under $10 for card and we only had $8.90 of cash on us. They just looked at us. Hubby had to go get 10c from his car which is just awkward and weird! It’s only 10c after all.
Other than those very minor things - we really enjoyed Georgios and we both said we would go back again. Worth the visit and I’m really pleased we gave it a shot given we have been locals for many years and eat out often!
A must for any Italian food lover! Friendly, efficient and personable wait staff as well as truly amazing food. I ordered seafood spaghetti marinara and my partner ordered steak. Every thing cooked and seasoned to perfection!
Espressos and desert did not disappoint either, large servings of crem brûlée and Greek doughnuts ( with lemon and honey sauce) were the perfect way to end our experience.
Highly recommend!
First time here, table for 4. Entree were very tasty. We had the meatballs and calamari to share. Mix of mains feom steak, pasta and grilled barramundi. All meals were very generous! But general consensus was just needed a little more seasoning. Desserts were polished off quickly. Chocolate caramel indulgence and the lemon crepes. Would happily come back again.
