I had an overnight stay in Bendigo and walked from the lake to the closest pub which was The Lakeview. What luck. The staff were very friendly and super efficient. Food was great and more than I could eat even though I had the small serve. Great surroundings and 3 choices where you could eat. Highly recommend this place.
The meals are excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly and attentive. This is a must try pub! It’s worth a drive from Melbourne for lunch.
It’s been ages since we have been to the Lake View Hotel at 204 McCrae Street. The night we went the place was packed, obviously very popular. The Bistro was full too so we had our meals in what I would call a pretty elaborate sports bar with everything streaming in on the big screens. This however did not detract from the various, and many dining areas though. My 5 stars go to the chef for my delicious Open Lamb Souvlaki with diced tomato, cucumber, olives, lettuce, fetta & Greek yogurt with falling apart lamb, which was sensational. Well done!
So delicious, gorgeous staff… came after Elvis ( short drive ) after being turned away from pub in town.

Very lively with multiple eating areas , extremely friendly staff - great range of food and very reasonable drinks .
The steak was cooked as ordered (medium rare)
and it was delicious. I enjoyed my meal so as my friends that are with me. They had the following and they recommend it (not to mention they are Chefs themselves) LVH burger, Salt&pepper calamari, Fillet mignon,Haloumi chips.
Beautiful food, very clean, comfortable setting, excellent service and an open fireplace! What more could you want! Five star!
Great food and beer was fresh. This pub was buzzing while we were there, so you know the place is popular with visitors and locals.
It’s how a venue handles a problem that gives you the opportunity to find out what’s important to a venue, and a small issue with an entree was handled fast effectively and without fuss, this venue genuinely cares about its patrons.

They have a outside area and it's really big inside.
We made a large group booking for dinner online as it was right next door to our Accomodation. Management were quick to respond to our request and very accommodating. Fabulous menu with a large variety of reasonably priced dishes that were better than your average pub meal. My meal (stuffed chicken breast) was absolutely delicious although came out a little cold.
