Went there from some beers and bruschetta and had a great time! Good crowd, amazing music and loved the service! Would recommend!
Above average surprisingly delicious pub food. Nice wine and ambient quirky atmosphere in the outdoor courtyard of an evening with friendly staff. Will return.
Great local pub, set in a gorgeous old building. Everything about Sonder is good! Wine list could be a bit more interesting! Very friendly staff, love the outside area in Summmer!

Sonder is hopefully the start of an emerging trend in the Sth Easy, great bars and good tunes. The beer selection is tremendous. The versatility of this venue is also worth talking about. Spacious inside and out. The Dear Luncher hears that there are even more exciting developments to come with Sonder. Food not yet sampled, unless you count mojitos as food. There's mint in a mojito, so yes it does count.
Formal indoors but fun relaxed outdoor area with plenty of seating. A good suburban location and a provides a staple weekend bar.
Staffs are friendly and moderate selection of whiskey.
Awesome little local. Friendly staff, great drinks and good simple pizzas. Great spot to spend an afternoon, and the outdoor area out back is a hidden gem.
Fabulous cocktails. Really lovely vibe. The outdoor area is just magical with the fairy lights. They've really done a great job and it's such an asset for Bentleigh. The pizzas were a bit soggy but maybe we had a bad night. Definitely worth trying again. Especially on a Tuesday when the pizzas are half price!!
Great place , friendly bar staff , comfy seats , great cocktails and tasty pizza . My new haunt and particularly love it as a girls catch up on the quieter nights . Be great if the range of the bar food could be extended - maybe desserts ?
A little hidden jem in the heart of Bentleigh! The vibes here are amazing; the staff are super friendly, the interior is stunning and the quality of drinks are to my liking haha

Overall a nice place. DJ, music isn’t too loud. Can sit down and have a chat. Service is nice as well. Food was Ok. Bao bun is nice, as well as the Asian salad. But there was some aioli sauce and cumin overuse for fries and the chicken bites.
Absolutely love this place. Cocktails, food, staff and vibe always bang on… only small thing - the burrito I had today from the pop up takeaway was extremely dry (maybe sauce was forgotten?) and a tiny bit lacking for flavour. Hopefully this was just a one off and it’ll be different when I return over the weekend :)
The vibes of this place were immaculate! Loved the busyness of it all, and I feel like you don't often get an atmosphere like this at a local bar - more so one you might find at the city.
Serving sizes of food were really generous and I appreciated that, because I feel as though you don't often get that at bars. My partner ordered the heinanese chicken which tasted awesome! The combination of sweet and spicy worked so well together, and the skin was a little crispy making it that much more enjoyable!
I myself ordered black bean pork noodles, which on the other hand was a little less enjoyable. For me personally, I am more used to black bean beef, and the change of the meat threw me off a little and it tasted a little inauthentic to Asian flavours. It was still an enjoyable dish, however, probably not something I would gravitate too straight away.
Overall, I really liked my experience and I would return again!
We love this place, since we moved in the area it has become our local, the beer garden is amazingly beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the food and drinks are great!... We also celebrated our daughter first birthday, with friends and family last Sunday in the beer garden and we had the best function experience!! Thank you so much to the friendly Sonder Bentleigh team for being so accommodating and making this a lifelong memory !!
I have been to Sonder numerous times and it never disappoints. Great food, great atmosphere and perfect for everything from a quiet drink, a hearty meal or right up to a decent session.
