Too caught up with work to plan and cook up a Lunar New Year feast this year, we settled for a mega pizza fest instead.

Spoilt for choices with the number of pizza places sprouting up in every suburb nowadays, we do still appreciate a Pizza Hut rendition every now so often.

Despite being just the two of us that evening, we couldn’t resist the “3 Large Pizzas for $29.95 Delivered” deal on their website. No leftover pizzas ever go to waste in this household anyway.

With the pizza reigns bestowed upon me, I picked three from their Premium range and customised the bases accordingly for an additional $3 per pizza.

Pairing the Butcher’s Block with a deep pan base was a good decision as its pillowy texture gave the meaty ingredients and Bbq sauce an even roundness.

The Ultimate Hot & Spicy sure lived up to its name! Initially setting a small fire to my tongue, the heat eventually tamed out as I got to the cheesy stuffed crust.

Normally, any stuffed crust pizza takes the crowning glory in my Pizza Hut books, but that day it was the Garlic Prawns that stole the limelight and by choosing a thin base, all the flavours just popped right through.

For $38.95 all up, it was a pretty good deal if you ask me and while it wasn’t quite the traditional Lunar New Year dinner for us this time round, the pizzas sure hit all the right spots!

The pizza itself is tasty and toppings are generous and evenly spread. All in all a seamless experience and I'll definitely order again.
