I brought my two kids with me and we tried the Apple Pie with ice cream, beef mince pice, curry pie and the steak and bacon with cheese pie. Their favourite was the Apple pie. In fact the ordered a second order of it. The top crust was perfectly done. Highly recommended

This was much better than the other country pies I’ve had lately, flaky pastry on top, sturdy down below, and packed full of filling. The curry steak didn’t have much flavour but the steak was fairly tender. $7 is getting to fancy-pie territory though and I’d only tolerate it because of the location - makes a good stop on Bell’s Line of Road with a small indoor area and some outdoor tables.
We went here in two occasions over our gorgeous weekend in Bilpin. First first we had savoury pies - chicken and mushroom so so, steak bacon and cheese also ok. The pastry however is amazing and we still enjoyed the pies. Second visit we took a large apple rhubarb takeaway and WOW same amazing pastry and that filling - perfect sweet and tartness. Pie in the Sky is a must do when in the Bilpin/Kurrajong area. They have around 12-15 different pie flavours to choose from depending on the season/day you go. Some of the flavours include Chilli Steak, Steak Bacon and Cheese, Chicken and Corn, Chicken and Mushroom and Apple and Rhubarb. The pies here are around $6.50 a pop which is pretty decent as they are a generous size and their pastry is pretty glorious stuff. I could eat many of their pie tops as they are so buttery.
They also have a few other items on their menu such as sausage rolls (which I'd also recommend), pasties, sweet cakes/pastries and fudge. The drinks menu is pretty standard, you can grab a coffee, milkshake or tea from here to go with your pie too.
If you're a sweet pie lover, also grab one of their large apple pies for home. They're $12 each and definitely a family favourite at dessert time with some ice cream!
A assortment of hot pies including apple pie. Had it with a giant scope of ice cream,the apple pie was still warm but I think I prefer it cold. Also a assortment of fudge. It's a small place with some seating! Friendly service
Popped by this little place on the way to Blue Mountains. Lovely assortment of pies. They also serve coffee. Went around 3 and many of the pies ran out. Tried the steak and cheese pie. Slightly salty but still good.
Pie in the sky, you make my heart sing!!! After a full day of eating I was told I couldn't leave Bilpin without making and stop, and my oh my, I'm glad I did! I had the chicken and mushroom pie, the pastry was out of this world and the filling was so tasty. I inhaled the pie in about 3 minutes.

...how was the apple pie here? Well, it was really good! As in, really really good. If apple pies aren't your thing, then never fear. A variety of other pies are available for sale. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream will set you back $5 and it is worth every cent! We shared a pie and found ourselves to be very full afterwards.
Excellent pies.. Ordered a chunky beef pie and an apple pie. Both were excellent, especially the apple pie!
Best roadhouse on Bells Line of Rd if you ask me.
