Best Salt and Pepper Squid Iv'e ever had. Great size serving and value for money. Goes well with there homemade Aoli sauce.
I will drive 45-60 minutes from home just to eat it.
It's worth the drive and tolls that I pay. If I'm out of Sydney, I count the days till I can get there.
I try and go there at least once per week.
Very good food, tasty and dosnt have that strong smelly fishy taste , just perfect fish , thats all i tried today but sure will be back for more
best fish n chips in the shire! Don’t go the opposite fish shop!! Smith is the best! But is painful that every time I need to drive all the way from one side of the bridge to the other side for smith!!!
Consistently good takeaway fish and chips that's been their for years. Good value for money for old fashion fish and chips. Their calamari is also a must. Every time I'm in the area I stop.

Smith's has been that takeaway place I hear a lot about but I'm just never in the area to give it a chance. With seafood on our minds, we ended our long weekend with a drive down south to rid us of our fish and chips craving.
My love for fish cocktails always forces this purchase. Their fish cocktails looks like mini battered fish. The batter was light and not too oily... and the fish was soft and flaky... it was definitely of good quality. I've had better but never at this generous sizing.
The crumbed fish was beautiful. Perfectly crumbed... with the colour being just the way I'd like it. It had a nice outer crunch and yet again soft, flaky, fresh fishy interior that slightly melted in your mouth. The crumbing added enough flavour whereby you don't even need to pair it with sauce.
I think the highlight was definitely the calamari. Normally I have issues with calamari as it can tend to be tough and chewy which really ruins the experience. These were massive calamari rings that had just the right bounce to it and a smooth texture with light crumbing that made it ideal.
The best thing is you can take it away and eat it out back while enjoying the views of the water. The seagulls around here don't seem as malicious as the ones around Circular Quay. I can see why they would have won awards.. efficient customer service, great food and well priced. The lines can build up quite quickly, despite it's not-so-convenient location. As we ordered and waited, the lines manage to read 7-8 deep on a random sunny Monday afternoon.
If I do make the effort to come down here... it's now gonna be a hard choice whether to feast here or at Paul's...

Awesome old school style fish and chipper. Really enjoyed this place. Would recommend a stop if you see it while driving into or out of the south part of Sydney.
The fish and chips seemed like the most popular option and looked like good value. I went for a bit of fish with 3 calamari rings and 1 fried oyster.
The fish was delicious fresh and flaky with a nice crispy batter - couldn't tell you what type it was.
The calamaris were classically chewy as they should be and had nice crumb with Italian sort of flavours to it. The oyster had the same crumb but was from a jar and really small so lasted all of .1 of a second.
Nice experience there is no seating but a bit of a car park with a view of the water behind it. It was really nice.
Ordered both hot and cold seafood and both were fantastic. The small fisherman basket was perfect for two people, not oily at all, just perfect. The Australia tiger prawns were also solid. There’s a nice little reserve by the car park for lunch. The car park is just to the left of the store. I’ve been living in the area for a while and this is the first time I’ve stopped in, will be back! 🐠
Love getting fish and chips from here coming back from the beach in Summer. Service and food are great but the parking situation and fact that it's right on the Princes Hwy is very inconvenient and slightly dangerous.
Will never get tired of this place, always get something that tastes amazing and I always enjoy it at a quiet waterfront spot nearby. Perfect! Today was the first time I tried one of the in house made sauces and they are worth the extra dollar for sure! Would love to see Smiths Seafoods make some big containers and sell the sauce by the litre!
We got a seafood platter during COVID and it was excellent! A great treat to share with the family and the seafood was very fresh!
Excellent Fish & Chips, love the Calamari and Prawn Cutlets also, staff are great too. I always make time to stop and eat something when I'm in the area, been doing it for years now and the quality has always been fantastic.
This place has the most amazing, fresh seafood. The seafood platters they offer are the best and a special shout out to Bronson who always makes us feel welcome and came up with the idea for the delicious platters. They are now a family favourite of ours! We definitely recommend Smith’s Seafoods for its quality, good prices and superb customer service
Smiths Seafood is my favourite go to takeaway. The seafood platter was outstanding, alongside with the hot food packs. The staff there are so friendly and great to chat with while they prepare our always yummy food! Couldn't recommend more.
Really good fish pieces and nice thick potato scallops that tasted like they should. By comparison, the chips were ordinary, but 5 stars for the first two. Would definitely return.
