After being on my bookmark for almost a year I finally visited The little french deli whilst visiting a friend that lived nearby. This interior is very small but so cute, as you walk in you so an array of pastries, cheese and meats. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and took some french brie and salami home. The croissant was sooo delish, the cheese was a mix of bechamel sauce and whatever cheese they had left in the kitchen- perfection
Decided to try breakfast here with a friend today and it was absolutely delicious!! I had eggs bene with salmon and my friend had baked eggs and both were top-notch. This will be my new favourite brunch spot! :)
Such a cute little cafe for the area. This place does a solid brunch and coffee and is attached to a little french deli (hence the name). I'll add this cafe to my bookmark list and can't wait to try their dinner menu.
It was our first time to try this place. It was a last minute pick for my Dad's birthday and it was a great find! We enjoyed everything about this place from the cosy decor, to the friendly staff and delicious food. We ordered entrees to share, a main each (there was four of us) and desserts to share along with drinks. Food was delicious and well priced I might add. Fave was the beef cheeks and the dark chocolate fondant. Give it a go if you're in the area. You won't regret it!
We even went next door to the Deli and brought a few things to take home.
a little on the expensive side for what it was. I really want to rate this 3.5 but it wouldn't allow a half rating. Yes it was expensive but I wouldn't rate this just an average meal. the service was also above average.
Plus I left full and happy. Just not wow.
I love this restaurant, we are challenged for great eating out in the southeastern suburbs so for Valentines Day this was a perfect choice. Perfect food and friendly staff. The ambiance doesn’t kick in until after dark so book a late seating.
The only reason I don’t give this review 5 stars is for this reason;
No one wants ‘Valentines Day’ to go wrong, right? I decided on This restaurant 2 weeks in advance.
I first tried to book on-line only to find the site was broken. I then emailed them to book a table and to politely let them know they might be loosing customers due the the broken booking system on their site. At first I was told all was fine with the site and, only after some back and forward emails did they finally admit it had gone pear shaped.
All good and I had our table booked. Yes?
My girlfriend and I turned up to find my name was not on the list at all. The look that was growing across my gf’s brow told volumes about how this night was going to turn out!!
Thankfully we were shown to a table in the back that we expected, only after first being stuck out in the cafe part of the restaurant.
All ended well thank god but it is a lesson for any restaurant that uses online booking services, especially on such a date.
This could well have been a 1 star review if they had not come to the party - even if a little grudgingly.
Beautiful ambiance, setting and courtyard! Quality and service was exceptional. Pricing was a little steep and they could do with a few more options to cater for vegetarians and specific diet needs. Will definitely return, but probably just for a drink next time!
This review is mainly for the deli attached to the right of the restaurant. The pastries are always fresh and crisp and the service is quick and friendly. The almond crossiants are my absolute favourite and they are definitely a must try!
Amazing to say the least! I have always had such a great experience here. The food is always fresh and extremely busy so make sure that you get in early to avoid dos appointment . The crosiants are amazing and so are their other food options. Love it as it is just around the corner of my house!
A slice of heaven nearby to one of the best beaches in Melbourne - worth the trip! Croque Monsieur comparable to those I’ve eaten in Paris absolutely delicious
Utterly delicious with an authentic French influence, bring on flavours, cream butter and garlic and fluffy tasty croissants. The decor suits and the staff is more attentive than at a top end venue. A bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip for a nice brunch.
This lovely bistro is truly a beautiful place to enjoy traditional French food. The breakfast menu is wonderful. Real homemade hollandaise, perfectly cooked eggs, delicious hams and saucissons all served with a smile. Oh and as you would expect, the croissants with butter are excellent.
The deli is separate from the restaurant and has a great range of cheeses, hams, terrines, sandwiches, desserts etc.
They are open on Friday and Saturday nights and I am looking forward to trying out the dinner menu.
Love this little cafe!! Great place with tasty food, lovely coffee and friendly staff. Has made my lockdowns enjoyable getting some croissants to build up at home! Also reasonably priced and decent sized products.
How did we miss this gem of a place near us. It’s so hard to get good pastries and croissants nearby unless you drive down till Parkdale.
Lovely little French deli with some yummy pastries
Lovely little French Cafe! Fresh bread, croissants, croque monsieur and great coffees. Serving take away food and coffee during COVID and a great local place for traditional French pastries. Reasonably priced and decent sized portions. Staff were wonderful and very friendly, and high definitely recommend!
Had some French named ham and cheese sandwich.
