My first experience with Doughboy was nearly a decade ago, when this small group of pizza-lovers opened their Newtown store. While that outlet bit the dust, today you’ll still find this boutique pizza group, which began back in 2001, operating five different stores.Starting his Doughboy journey as Store Manager of the original North Bondi store, Tom Ivers now owns and operates his own Bondi Road shop. It’s a small but quirky space, with a ceiling full of hanging wooden pizza paddles, a logoed surfboard on a red feature wall, and a giant chalkboard menu taking up most of the remaining space. By necessity it’s predominately a take-away outlet, but there is a communal table and some counter seats where you can eat pizza and watch the world go by.Over pizza we had a conversation about the changes Tom has seen at Doughboy across the years. Best pizza I have eaten. Fresh produce amazing Wholemeal base. So many options to choose from. Highly recommend the garlic and cheese bread to start, unbelievable. Friendly service.
Pizza made to perfection. We love the spelt and wholemeal bases and the toppings and flavours are well-thought combinations. Lovely staff and very efficient on wait time for pizzas.
Pizza is always a good idea especially a Doughboy Pizza. Pick up or delivery the quality is always on point. Ingredients are tasty, you get to pick the base you want. Always fresh and tasty. I have been getting Dough Boy pizza every time I am in the area. The owner is chill and would talk to the customers when they are not too busy. They use very fresh ingredients and hence pizzas taste good. My favourite is Bosco with prosciutto and rockets. Would definitely come back again!
Tom from Doughboy catered a birthday party for 50 people at my home. He was amazing and reliable and everyone loved the pizza. It was great to not have to worry about whether or not the food would all go smoothly. These guys were amazing, I can't recommend them enough.
Great food and prompt service.
Pizza is fantastic and is served hot with a thin crust. Will recommend the Americana and garlic twist starters. Took forever to decide on what to order but the server was patient and food came really fast. Will definitely recommend
One of the best pizza outlets in Sydney clearly! So many varieties and the best part, we have some wonderful vegetarian options. It's worth the money and I will recommend this.
Best pizza in Bondi! This little gem is fairly close to my house that it's dangerous. Would order or eat in at least once a week. The pizzas taste best when eat in store.
