Fairly standard sandwich shop but done well. I got the pastrami and they did pack on a pile of pastrami - maybe 2cm thick - so the value was good compared to most pastrami sandwiches in Sydney. The pastrami had some tangy spices but wasn't the dark, rich, melty kind of pastrami that I was hoping for. The coffee was good, nice and syrupy.
Great sandwich shop, small, simple but food is good. I got The Irish on wholemeal and it was delicious. Bread was really fresh and soft, ingrediants were fresh. Will be back!
A few of our friends have talked about this place for a while and I finally decided to check it out. I know it is a sandwich shop, but the chicken, crisp pancetta and avocado salad sounded inviting. The salad was a large serve and freshly made with quality ingredients. Going by how good the salad was and what I have heard about the sandwiches I will have to return to try one. I also ordered a coffee which was also very nice. A great lunch spot in Bondi Junction, highly recommended.
I'm not a huge sandwich eater, infact I prefer rice over bread and noodles over rice. But Monty's Sandwich is absolutely amazing! From the soft texture of the bread to the amazing flavour of the filling. Absolutly the best sandwich, if not the best breakfast and lunch option in the whole of Sydney!!! I can't believe I am taking bread over rice and noodles for lunch now!
No-nonsense sandwiches; big, filling, and tasty. The sort of sandwiches your ethnic friend's mum would make you after you already said you weren't that hungry.
I had the chicken and pancetta on wholemeal. The bread was light and fluffy, like a breakfast tv-show's journalism. The chicken was plentiful and the pancetta was in salty little crisps to add a refreshingly crunchy texture. It claimed to have guacamole mayo, but I couldn't taste avocado.
The service is efficient and friendly, just be prepared to wait at peak periods.
Best sandwich I've had in a long time. I'm gluten intolerant but the house baked fresh bread that melts in your mouth was worth the consequences. Super friendly staff who are all about their customers. Next time we're in Sydney we'll be back.
Good sandwich place for a good gluten free sandwich. The portions are massive though so be mindful of that if you cannot eat big portions. The food is really tasty. Small place to hangout so you're sitting on top of each other but if you're nipping in and out, it's perfect.
A local institution. Filling reasonably priced sandwiches, often queues of hungry people waiting. This is a little off the beaten track (i.e. not in a mall) so very much a place for locals in the know.
The Reuben sandwich is delivered in a record 1 minute; standing high on a wooden board. The first thing that happens when you pick up the sandwich is the fluffy white bread compresses into a dense dough-like consistency ...

I went there today as I was hungry waiting for my optometrist appt and had their coronation chicken sandwich after the chap at the register recommended it.
Really delicious. It took also only about 3 mins to make and the lady in the kitchen brought it out to the footpath for me.

Great sandwiches! Loved the service from the staff. Tried the chicken and pastrami sandwich and enjoyed both very much. We visited when passing through bondi, recommend others to give their sandwiches a try when in bondi.
Quick service, really great coffee and yummy toast. This cafe is in a convenient location in the heart of Bondi Junction. There is heaps of parking around the neighbouring streets (free parking if you park a few streets away). Also it is not too far from Centennial park so you could ride your bike (which is what I did). I highly recommend this cafe as the food was fresh and the cafe very clean. An easy 5 stars 😉. PS you get more toast than in the photo. I ate the other slices 🤣

Kurt has been telling me about this place for a long time. Despite being close to my work, it took me a long time to actually get there. I now regret taking so long, because it is so good and this could have been my regular a lot earlier!
Montys is a freshly made sandwich shop in Bondi Junction (opposite Eastgate shopping centre). Primary takeaway but there are a few tables if you’d like to eat in.
It’s a high quality, very busy and clearly popular, having been operating for ten years.
You can order ahead online, or in store. There’s all day breakfasts, salads and of course, sandwiches. So many options had you can have them fresh or toasted.
I ordered the Veggie Reuben with Swiss cheese, tomato, marinated char grilled eggplant, slaw, sauerkraut, dill pickles and dijonnaise and I had it on fresh wholemeal bread. A great combination of ingredients and super tasty. Good value at only $10.95.
Whilst you’re there, grab a cool drink or coffee too and enjoy your lunch.
One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. You won't find equivalent food as good as Montys anywhere around Bondi. Quick service, friendly staff, excellent coffee.
Love the sandwiches at Monty's!! always quick, filling and the freshest ingredients.
I don't know how, but they always seem to make their sandwiches better than if I tried it do it them myself, great quality, great service!!
