This would have to be my favourite fish shop in Melbourne. The fish is always fresh and their menu plentiful. Service is friendly and accomodating. You can never get bored of eating here especially if you love your seafood.
Had herd a lot good reports from friends that had been to Fishtank, so the wife and I decided to check it out. Hands down the best fish&chips ive had in a long time. The seafood was fresh and service was great, can't wait to go back 😀👍

They offer fresh local and national seafood on display and you get to choose the seafood.The chips were so crunchy that I did not even leave any behind.
It also comes with a fresh homemade tartare sauce which was really good. I guess I’ve found my favourite fish and chips spot
We had a couple of plates of golden fried delicious seafood. Everything was cooked well, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
Have been to the Fish Tank many times over the years. Their menu is extensive and whatever we have ordered has been cooked perfectly. The staff are usually very pleasant I have never had a problem with being overcharged and definitely always been served what we ordered and paid for.
The seafood always looks so fresh and everything is clean and fresh looking. Prices are average and table service is good.
Pretty decent fish and chips, however not the cheapest and not the best. Batter is pretty good, better than many traditional seaside places where it's a big thick or soggy. The waitress that took our order was very friendly and also gave us complimentary sauce (they usually charge for it), and that was a very nice gesture. Would consider coming back if we're in the area again.
When it comes to plain and simple Fish & Chips, this place does it extremely well. We ordered the Fisherman’s Delight for two which came with Fish Of The Day (Blue Grenadier), Potato Cakes, Calamari, Scallops, and Chips. The seafood itself was incredibly fresh and was fried to perfection with light and crispy batter. The Chips and Potato Cakes were above average but nothing amazing. Everything was very simple so the main focus was on the natural flavours of the seafood itself, while I did have to get some sauce to help finish off the chips and potato cakes.
I would definitely recommend this place for plain old Fish & Chips (but mainly the fish).
We ordered the fisherman’s delight. It was amazing! Both the grilled and fried fish were great! One of the best fish and chips we had so far.
For a fish and chips place, it’s highly recommended. The seafood are very fresh. I normally but fresh seafood directly from them cause I don’t like fried fish. But still, nice spot. But the last time the waiter we had, was so inexperienced and took our orders wrong 3 times.

we came here for a bite after a long day out. they have a variety of seafood to select from. we had the grilled catch of the day, which was Bluefish I think and Thai salmon pattie. friendly staff.
Its not cheap but it is worth spending that extra little bit to get a better product. The fish of the day was brilliant, the batter was crisp and full of flavour, the fish itself was thick yet tender, it just fell apart in your mouth. Squid was a little bit chewy but it was proper squid not minced squid. The chips were great, well seasoned with chicken salt and just perfectly cooked
Very fresh seafood! Great batter on the fish. But overall seasoning lacks, definitely room for improvement even with a bit more salt + pepper.
Fish Tank Fish and Chips is a great Fish and Chippery with some really nice fresh Seafood, the Hamburgers are delicious and the value for money is pretty good, I Highly Recommend Fish Tank Fish and Chips! 👌🏼
An impromptu day-trip to Brighton Beach ended up with the best fish & chips we've ever had. We purchased the Fisherman's Delight - such superb value. The freshness of the fish & fried scallops (with the roe inside) was exquisite. A beautiful day made that much better. Quality such as this is why Melbourne is one of the most likeable cities in the world :)
Nice fish and chip in Brighton. The portion is reasonable and price is bit pricey, but worth it.

FAVOURITE FISH N CHIPS HANDS DOWN ! ...so far. This place is my fish n chips cravings safety net at the moment. Everytime i get that fishy feeling. I head here and get treated for my addiction. These guys serve up the best fish n chips in the area. You will pay for it $$ but its worth it. Also very diet friendly here. Its easy to locate and easy to find parking. A short stroll from the water. The staff are great here . Greeks love fish n chippies and this gets the chocco tick of approval! Keep up the good work Fish Tank 👏
