My family enjoyed this family dining. The day was palma day so I got free drink and I chose tap beer. Palma was amazing. Kids menu was very reasonable. But it took long time till ice cream has served.
We recently ate dinner in the bistro/bar/restaurant and we were pleasantly surprise. The food was very tasted, generous and excellent value for money. Sunday night roast (see pics) was only $15. Friendly staff and a comfortable room. Definitely going back.
Great food and great service. A very laid back pub in a not so laid back part of the melbourne. A lovely intimate and rustic interior with a fantastic drinks range and a menu that tried and tested is consistent and delicious. A favourite among the family, for an easy meal and relaxed atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced.
The restyled New Bay Hotel has a good atmosphere which is certainly enhanced by the waitresses who are welcoming and friendly. It is obvious they are part of a cohesive team who enjoy being there. The food is good with more variety on offer than your average pub fare which is heartening. As the servings are quite large we have decided next time a main only will suffice!!
Yum!. Went there with my partner, I had the paella and he had the pie. The paella was amazing, excellent flavour, full of perfectly cooked seafood and served with a side of warm crispy bread. Not at all what I expected at a pub! And excellent value considering the size and quality. The pie was also very nice, very very big and also great value.
The staff were quick, friendly, attentive without being annoying and excellent in general. As soon as my partner finished his beer, the waitress was there offering another, but not in a way that was pushy. I will definitely be returning!
Stumbled across this pub by accident. So my friends and I went inside for dinner. It was 2-4-1 meals and parma's were the choice of the night. 2 chicken parma's for $22 (bargain). Might I say 1 Parma was enough to feed a small army. Ended up staying all night and drinking in the sports bar. Great service, great atmosphere. Good old great pub really...

I booked a table at the New Bay Hotel for lunch today (Father's Day) with my family & father in law. We had never been before, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality (and size!) of the meals we ordered. Husband & f.i.l both reported the mexican parma to be quite excellent, and the kidlets actually finished their nuggets & chippies (which i stole a few of, yum). The staff were also really lovely and very accomodating. We will definitely be back!
Overall my experience here was good the portion size is enough to cure anyone's hunger the staff were happy to split up seating so we could sit where we liked even when the place was near capacity
Nice place a mid week meeting with friends for a quick meal and some drinks.
don't expect master chef creations. but if you ask me those should stay on the small screen. had enough pig these beginner cooks trying to create a signature dish. leave it for the real pro's.
this place is nicer than the average hotels.
