Review Grill'd - Brisbane

Delicious plant-base burger & chips! Comfortable seating area. The ‘impossible goodness’ vegetarian meat tasted like the real one. You can choose the bun (tradional, low carb, etc). Vegan or vegetarian.

The waitress brought out our gluten free burgers and said “hey gals, we put the buns through once. Let us know if they’re not edible”. Firstly, it’s beyond me why you’d even serve this to paying customers. The burger bun was literally charred & rock hard on both our burgers. Secondly, this is not the first time we’ve had a terrible experience with incompetent staff or poorly cooked meals at this particular grilld.

Zen Hen 🍔 👍 sweet potato chips lovely but oily. Having eaten at grill'd too many times to remember I would recommend a reduction in salt and sugar in your menu if you really stand by your moto "healthy burgers". Apart from that, fantastic! Always enjoy a grill'd burger and the upbeat atmosphere.

Was very happy with the quality and service we received when eating here for dinner. We got our burgers and chips within 10 minutes of when we ordered. So was very quick service. The customer service was very nice and had a great conversation with my kids. The actual food was amazing. The quality of the different aspects were amazing. Overall great burger place. Cheap and good quality

Great burgers, and sweet potato fries. Nice atmosphere, and customer service. Only down side is that the shop uses a public restroom across the road, and doesn't have it's own. Had an issue with their online ordering system where our order was on placed but not received and payment went through, however this was promptly fixed through ordering at the counter.

The food was really yummy and the service was great, all staff seem happy and friendly. I'm just not sure about the process of standing in the front door looking at the menu before you can order it seems to clog up the entryway. If this is a covid thing it seems counterproductive. There is the online order option but maybe just make some more room at the front door.

Katie has served us as soon as H and K walked in last night around 5:15 ish. and i must say she had amazing customer. every since we walked in we felt so welcomed by her presence. apart from her amazing customer service! definitely recommend going there she was amazing. you rock Katie!

Grill’d South Bank is not your typical McDonalds. It’s pricier but offers better taste for it’s price. Does it offer significantly better taste? No. Its mediocre in terms of burgers. There’s a noticeable difference from other fast restaurants, because it’s not really supposed to be a fast food restaurant. Grill’d burgers relatively longer to come out of the kitchen, proclaims it uses better ingredients, all so that it could charge a higher price. I would go there if my friends prefer it, but otherwise there’s no reason to pay a visit to this restaurant.

Located near the Southbank Cineplex, Grill’D South Bank offers a great ambience, decorated with string lights. <br/><br/>Ordered the Simon Says, a chicken burger which offers a wide variety of texture in a bite. Also tried the Crispy Bacon & Cheese, which was tasty but I found it rather lacking. If you are after beef-based burger, I’d recommend getting the Wagyu Wunder instead, as it had better balance in terms of texture and flavour.<br/><br/>For the sides, I’d recommend getting the Chips Share Plate, especially if you are coming here with friends. The chips were perfectly fried, served along with tasty sauces.<br/><br/>Overall, a nice place to have a burger. Might come back in the future when I’m craving for a burger.

I have been waiting 50 minutes so far and I finished my beer my cider and even a bottle of coke. But my BBQ Brisket burger is still in processing. I asked the staff and they said because the busy traffic in kitchen and they can do nothing for it. Worst experience in Grilld.

Grill’d is in a really accessible and open location at Southbank. It is also open until midnight on fridays and saturdays.<br/>Watched a movie at Southbank once that finished quite late, other restaurants’ kitchens were no longer open but Grill’d was, which was a relief as we were all hungry!<br/>Overall, really good service and the burgers were brought out pretty quickly.

Ordered a wagyu burger here and was pretty satisfied! The burger pattie was moist and the seasonings were on point. Both burger and chips were in decent portion. The place was pretty spacious and had fun vibe. The staffs were also really friendly and gave fast services. Overall, it was a savoury and delicious meal altogether!

Good Place. Good Burgers. Great Fries!<br/>My usual buy here is 'Hot Bird' with fries, and it's an awesome treat!<br/>Ambience is just apt for the place that it is. Services are usually good.<br/>This place is 4, for best fries I have had in Brisbane, and good wholesome burgers that this place boasts - justifying quality flavor for all items on it's menu.

We regularly grab a quick meal here before heading next door to the movies - their service is fast and we know we're not going to be late for the movie! This is one of the few Grill'd where we've been seated at a table by a waitress at the front door, but there is plenty of room across multiple levels so I don't think you'll have to wait long. Their menu has plenty of options from salads through to burgers, of which we love the Summer Sunset and Nourish & Flourish best. If you're a fan of pickles be sure to get them added on as an extra, they're really yummy! We also love their Zucchini fries but the quality really comes down to whoever's manning the frier on the day (we've had terribly soggy ones and deliciously crisp ones). Don't skip the herb mayo either. Really enjoyed their Rose wine on our last visit in March 2018 as well. ***Note - while Cineplex Southbank cinemas used to allow hot food in their cinemas, they now have a strict NO HOT FOOD policy. So if you're planning on grabbing some Grill'd to take into the cinemas, please note that as of Feb 2018 we noticed they aren't allowing this anymore.

Burgers were delicious!! Chips were more average than they look - don’t bother ordering any. Service was efficient and good and staff were very accommodating. Love their whole restaurant design - seems very clean.

After the renovations, Grill'd is a lot more spacious! The burgers are the same as anywhere else to be honest, but the staff are fairly quick which is awesome and the portions are big too.

Ordered the field of dreams burger. Bun wasn’t toasted. Lettuce and vege was wet which made the untoasted bun turn into mush in your mouth. Not sure why the burgers aren’t seasoned before delivering to Customer. Especially the Mushroom. It should be well seasoned on the grill. Then caramelised. Then added to the burger. Unfortunately it’s all about volume and not much attention to detail. Better burgers elsewhere. 👎🏼

I had a wonderful experience here bringing a large group of 30 high school students for a meal before seeing a show at QPAC. Our transport arrived 50minutes late to bring us into South Bank, so the Grill'd team took our massive dinner order over the phone, then when we arrived in a bit of a flurry they had our meals ready to go and were polite, calming and pleasant in helping us to have our meal before running off to make it to our show. I wanted to say a big thank you to the team for being so understanding and so helpful.

The staff were friendly and energetic. The location and seating was nice and near the South Bank cinema. The food tasty and fresh. My major gripe was the time taken, 20 minutes plus, and the price, $57 for three burgers, drinks and one serving of chips. Don't go during lunch.

Sometimes you just need a good, old fashioned half a burger! 😄 The "Simon Says" burger from @grilldburgers - chicken boobs, crunchy bacon, salad and herb mayo. Fast, cheap and satisfying for days when you're starving and in a hurry! 😄👌🏼

A frequent diner at Grill'd and at several outlets, I must commend at the work culture that Grill'd fosters and is trying to create. I personally found the staff to be very friendly and the runner went out of his way to assist, which was very kind of him.<br/>I had the Simply Grill'd and the Crispy Bacon & Cheese and I found both burgers to be wonderfully prepared. They were presented on the plate in a very appealing manner, with the chips stacked up nicely in its cup. <br/><br/>The burger patties were flavourful beautifully grilled but the cheese was a let-down. There needs to be an option to have a strong flavoured cheddar cheese since the current cheese option just doesn't cut. The greens in the burger were a tad bit too much to my liking but the overall ingredients complement well. I prefer the super bun over the traditional bun so I'd recommend giving the two buns a try and see which one you prefer.<br/><br/>The chips were perfectly crisp with fluffy potato filling, but do remember they are served hot so be careful when you bite into them. Please do order a side dip since the dips bring out the best in the chips and I wouldn't have them any other way. The chips are seasoned with herbs and salt so it may not be the traditionally style chips but they work, however, they do taste a bit incomplete without the dip. This may work against the chips favour but I look at it differently. I generally select the hot chilli or sweet chilli mayo and don't particularly like the herbed mayo. A plain mayo or garlic aioli dip option would be great. <br/>Not to forget, the ambiance is fantastic with the exposed brick walls & the wonderful wall decorations. The music selection always keeps me Shazaming and the lighting in the restaurant is bright. I'd definitely come back again.

Wow. If you only do burgers you could do a better job. Tasty, but Luke warm burger and please don't put stuff in the chips! Only thing that goes on chips is salt! And the herb mayo....what is wrong with normal mayo? Nice beer though.<br/>

Burgers... Winning! Customer Service... Winning! One of the only Grill'd Restaurants I'd go to... always providing great service!

Not convinced. We went to Grill'd at South Bank after seeing a movie, and were excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, we came away really disappointed. To start with, the service was poor. We made an honest mistake when we started telling the assistant our order without realising that the previous customer hadn't finished talking to him. We apologised and waited for them to finish, but not without getting an evil eye from the assistant. When we did place our order, he was rude and unwelcoming. My partner and I both ordered the Mixed Vegetable and Dukkah salad. The said vegetables were actually frozen grilled vegetables. I am not kidding! The middle part of the pieces of sweet potato and eggplant were actually frozen. It was obvious that they were vegetables from one of those big tubs of commercial grilled vegetables, which is bad enough to start with, but to top it off they had obviously been left at the back of the fridge to freeze. For $12.90 per salad it was a huge disappointment. Fortunately we had also ordered some chips, so we ate all those and left the salads. Not going back!

We drive all the way to Southbank as the burgers here are fantastic!! The burgers are always consistantly great and love the fact we can enjoy a beer as well! Prefect location and food! At times the service could have ben better but only when super busy. Staff are usually friendly and atmosphere chilled! Love it!!

Friendly and fast service during a Thursday lunchtime. Everything I would expect from the Grill'd franchise in a convenient location. Nice to see state-specific menu differences for an interstate traveler!<br/><br/>Good size meal portions at reasonable prices. Would definitely return.

Most overrated burger place I've ever been too. The prices are a joke! I suggest they do themselves a favour and fly to America to find out what a burger should be. Absolute Ripoff!

Not the best grill'd i've been too. Best place for burgers hands down. <br/><br/>But the only time I've dined here at the SouthBank restaurant, the music was so loud, my friends and I could barely hear each other, and the place was packed so everyone was trying to talk over each other.<br/><br/>The chips were amazing, obviously, best thing about grill'd! But it annoys me that you have to pay for sauce, and such a little amount too, considered the chips are pretty pricey.<br/><br/>Decor is pretty cute though, compared to others i've been too

Chips were fantastic as always, the herbed mayo dip and satay sauce on the kung fu fighter were a little bit too sweet for my preferences, and red onion was cut too thick so it was slightly overwhelming, but the meat was cooked perfectly and the overall burger was pleasing. The general atmosphere was pleasant, not too loud for conversation yet still lively. Staff were friendly and happy to clear the table for us when asked.

Great!. Have been here heaps as it's local. The burgers are consistently good and the service is efficient. I really like the mustard and pickle burger but the other ones I have tried are good too.

Such a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious burgers, even though mine was a bit difficult to eat due to it's size. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Not to bad!. Quiet expensive for burger and fries but overall not to bad. The service was a little slow but when the meals came out it was ok, def not the best ive had. I prob wouldnt go there again!

Good service. I went Grill'd since there was not many places open on New Year's day. Though they must have been very busy, the gentleman who served me and other friends was so polite, patient and friendly. I know this place is a franchise, but that level of service is precious... I also appreciate they offer three options to vegetarians. My chickpea patty tasted good.

Veggo options. Not a bad choice for veggos - three different options, with the juicy, meaty portabello mushroom my favourite. Damn shame about the chips being cooked in animal fat though.

Best Burger Joint. Hands down, has to be one of the best tasting burger joints I have ever eaten at. The Grill'd menu offers a variety of burgers (from yummy grilled chicken and meat patties that are to die for). Whilst it is a little pricey, it is worth the money. I like to eat at Grill'd as much as I can. They even cater for my vegetarian friends. The food is amazing, they serve alcohol, it has a really good atmosphere with really friendly staff.<br/>If you are looking for a place to munch down on quality burgers and chips - look no further.

Simple but Delicious. My partner and I were out with some friends at The Plough In when our stomach reminded us we had missed dinner. Unfortunatly, they had closed the kitchen early (yet again) and so we decided to go somewhere close by so as not to seem to rude.<br/><br/>We stopped over at Grill'd, and i remember hearing quite a few good things about it. Suddenly craving a burger i hoaxed my partner into going in. <br/><br/>The interious really attracted me as it was appealing to the eye, yet still simple. A great hang out area for your mates. <br/><br/>Although there's no actualy meal choice (aka burger, chips and drink) it was still rather worth it. Compared to your usual quick fix burgers at the local take away shop, this burger was fresh, the meat was juicy and nicely seasoned and it just sit so well on the taste buds and in the stomach. We also ordered a side of chips, which were nicely crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. They were beautifully tossed in herbs and salt and were only accentuated by the fantastic sauces that came with it complimentary.<br/><br/>My partner also enjoyed the fact that they can serve alochol as a drink, and even noticed how his Pure Blonde seemed to accentuate his 'Sweet Chilli Chicken' burger.<br/><br/>The staff were also exceptionally nice. They were meticulous with how they served their dish, and always wore a smile. They were super helpful and were fantastic, which only improved the night. Its amazing how some friendly service can improve the entire evening. <br/><br/>We would definately go back and have experiments on which burger we prefer. Looking forward to our next burger!!!

Ergh. The first time we went here the burgers were great! Fresh, crisp salad & fantastic service. The second time we went it was horrible! Our burgers made us feel worse than Mc Donald's & the staff made us feel like we shouldn't be there. No smiles when ordering and she gave us looks as if we were satan. When the other girl delivered our burgers she just plonked the food down on our table no hello, no smile and walked away... we had to get up ourselves and get cutlery! The girl later dropped a big crate of drinks and smashed it all over the floor... Karma!

Lots of better places out there.. Average burgers, I wouldn't waste my time here when there are many more better burger joints around.

Grill'd .. The Healthy Burgers.. as they like to call it.. Sells gourmet burgers ranging from Beef, Lamb, Chicken, Veggie or Steak.. along with Snack burgers which are smaller burgers when that tummy of ours isn't looking for much.. and they also have hot chips and salads..  This is their "Crispy Bacon and Cheese" Beef Burger.. For the buns, you can choose from two different types, the Panini (the one on the photo) or the Traditional (wholemeal blend)..

We went in to this happy joint. The staffs seemed like they had fun working. It was quite nice to see.
