We have really struggled to find somewhere that ticks all of our boxes, but the crew at Goodness Gracious truly go above and beyond in everything they do:
- Delicious food
- Authentic and creative menu
- Seasonal menus
- Amazing service
- Willing and able to meet dietary requirements
- And the food is locally sourced too!
We had a minor mix up with our breakfast order this morning, and we are by no means regulars, so we were absolutely blown away by the willingness to do what ever it took to rectify this and keep us happy (even though we really were not concerned in the slightest).
You usually only see this kind of dedication to food and service in high end restaurants (which I can vouch for having myself worked in hospitality for over 10 years), so it is so beautiful to find a place that is keeping the true heart and meaning of hospitality alive.
You had already won our taste buds, but now you have won our hearts!!!

We've been here almost (we sometimes go on holiday) every Saturday morning for the last year. The coffee is top level. The food is interesting and delicious without being weird, and regular menu updates keep things seasonal and fresh. The service is always fast and friendly, and the consistency is impressive.
Waffles - overpoweringly sweet. Flavours did not work together. Even the lemon curd wasn’t tangy - it tasted like melted lemon fruity chews (from the natural confectionary).
Eggs Benedict w/mushrooms - very good. I enjoyed the quantity and variety of mushrooms. The bread was nice and buttery. Eggs benny was perfectly runny. The cream (yoghurt?) sauce was flavourful but light, and tied everything together.
Chai latte - had an interesting note of something that I couldn’t quite place. Wasn’t too sweet, so I assume it’s not made with powder. Definitely worth trying.
Have not been back over three and a half years so it should be the time to check it out. I always love the provision of parking space at the back of this cafe, which makes customers so handy.
Walked it and it was not yet full house. I chose a table near the counter so I could watch the barista’s preparation. Doubtless, her skill is very good; however, my coffee was sitting on the bench for a while and waited for someone to deliver to my table that made bubbles came to the surface and the temperature was slightly declined. Having said that coffee’s taste, strength and smoothness remained consistently well. The croissant did not let me down at all. Careful warmed up preparation retained the layer and texture. Well done!

First of all - get the Chai Me smoothie. Heaven! That's most important.
Secondly, what a beautiful little cafe! The feel of the menu matches the cutesy decor within the cafe. They serve breakfast/brunch/lunch (whatever you want to call it) until I think 4pm everyday.
We always opt for one of the options with sourdough, whether it be the classic avo on toast or halloumi on toast. Last year we came and had the most spectacular winter roasted veggies on toast which was absolutely incredible, but sadly not on the menu this year! I'd love to see it back.
They do amazing drinks (chai me smoothie I may just have to mention again) including teas, coffees, smoothies, sodas... As well as lovely little cakes with several vegan options too.
It is a bit expensive for what it is, if we have to be honest. 60 dollars for two smoothies and two meals... but if you want a treat and can afford it then definitely come. This cafe is our favourite in Brisbane!
We found this cool cafe/restaurant from the Trending Cafes book after a visit to the nearby koala sanctuary.
Staff are friendly and the place is inviting. What seems to be a smaller cafe from the outside, is actually a large venue with plenty of seating inside and outside on the decks.
The menu is interesting. My wife had the tempeh bacon with rice noodle salad and I had the Goodness Gracious. The kids had the ham and cheese croissants.
All dishes were great. The crispy pork was cripsy, the tempeh well cooked and the kids made a tasty remark about the ham. They're 3 and 7, so that's a very meaningful comment.
Unfortunately, my daughter accidentally knocked the ceramic soap dispenser in the restroom and when my wife reported it to the manager/owner her response was positive and immediately assisted in cleaning up the mess, no grumblings, no nasty comments. Which made the experience even more positive.
Definitely worth a return with guests and highly recommended.
Oh and the coffee is great.
Saw this little gem on a foodie page & it lived up to it’s great reputation! Lovely, shady garden setting outside with very helpful & cheery staff with personality!

with a wonderful cake cabinet. It was flat out this morning as obviously very popular.

Breakkie heaven. Keeps getting better and better. Tried their chicken bowl for the first time. Just the best breakfast ever!! Must visit if your around.
Went for coffee and cake. Lovely coffee and delicious and unusual flavours with the cakes. Planning to head back for a meal. My only suggestion is having more spaces for bigger groups e.g. 4 people inside for the really hot days and found it difficult getting to a larger table with my elderly dad (who has a walking stick), as several groups were standing at the counter waiting to pay and blocked the way for too long a period of time. If they can address these things it would be a 5 for sure and we will be back to sample some more of the lovely flavours and foods.
Excellent for a Sunday brunch. The food is easy eating yet so complex with taste and texture; the environment is relaxing even when during the busy Sunday brunch time. Everything is goodness and gracious!
This is a super fantastic place - please don't change anything (maybe don't heat up cupcakes with icing on them), but forgiven because it's great in every way. Food Service & Presentation ! ps please bring back the 'Dutch Baby' soon.
I have been here a few times and the food always is presented well. Their cabinet is always full of such amazing treats which is very tempting when you come in AND when you go to pay. The menu is always changing so you never know what will be available when you go there on your next visit which is good and can be sad when you miss out on a fun dish!
I got the Mediterranean toast which was yummy, was surprised it was a cold dish but the cauliflower hummus added a burst of flavour to the plate which was delicious.
Staff were mostly friendly and coffee was nice.
Overall a good experience, looking forward to trying a dessert in their cabinet or a sweet dish off the menu in the future.

Food: Good looking, and also taste good. Especially their sauce inside the burger. A little bit spicy and creamy, special.
And they got DOG ICE CREAM!!!

Convenience: They got their own parking spot so you don’t need to park on Oxley Road (busy everyday) which makes everything easier.
Fairly busy Cafe on a Sunday morning, good Cafe vibe and good selection of brunch food. Got the pancakes and steak sandwhich. Shared the sandwhich and it was filling and tender steak. Pancakes are well presented and colorful. Drinks are so pretty 💕
Really nice experience here today. The ‘Virgin Lychee’ was so delicious and beautifully presented. The toast under the avocado came apart so easily!! Such a nice change from the table-rocking hack-sawing that is usually needed for avo toast. And nicely presented too. Food and drinks both came really quickly. And we even got this cute creature on the coffee! The cakes in the cabinet looked great too. Really nice way to spend a birthday 😊 Thank you Goodness Gracious!
*only downside was one of our water glasses came out with lipstick marks on it
Fantastic dog friendly cafe. The staff are super friendly and were helpful. The food is delicious and the service is quick. Great cafe and garden area at the back where dogs are served with puppychinos and doggy ice cream.
Goodness Gracious serves a delicious menu. Sarina was our waitress. She was one of those vibrant and cheerful person that really made your day. She made sure our food was cooked the way we wanted and our water was topped up (something most waitress would not bother) 😊
Food was tasty, well presented and well cooked but the servings were huge, too much to eat unless you have a very big appetite.
Also a very limited menu.
We also had to contend with flies coming in through the unscreened side door near our table.
Very quick with the coffee and food and very covid safe. Karage omelette was super indulgent and delicious, just make sure you haven't eaten anything before and don't plan to eat anything else for the next 24 hours.
Great little cafe, with friendly staff and awesome food! We went for brunch, and was not disappointed. Generous servings, good atmosphere and a great way to relax on a rainy Sunday. As expected, it is a bit pricey than other similar cafes, however the quality of the food and service along with the place itself justifies that extra cost.
