by far, my favourite Mexican restaurant! their beef chimichangas, nachos (desert and regular) and margaritas are all amazing ❤️
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food choices were great as we had some vegetarians and gluten free friends with us and everyone was catered for
I ordered two tacos, one beef one chicken like they suggest, and also made it one soft one hard. Couldn’t decide which one I liked more. Had the Oreo taco for dessert. It was delicious, but I wouldn’t call the waffle Belgian. French or Dutch more like. Friendly staff and I like how you literally sit on the sidewalk but it feels like you sit inside. The sound of cars driving by was still a bit loud though.
Have been past Pepe’s a few time but finally had a chance to try it this weekend 😀 The dining area is very lively and colourful which creates a bright mood which really suits this style of food. I think the standout dish is the seafood fajitas which had beautiful big prawns and scallops 😋 I also really appreciated the choices of Mexican craft ales 🍺 Pepe’s is a great choice for fun casual group dining with friends & family 👍
perfect time to visit a Mexican restaurant on their independence day!!! So much special on the menu for the day.
we were greeted by the lovely manager Mesut and taken good care by all the other staff the whole time.
was happy to take the advice on the drink special "the grapes and chillis margarita" it surely has a good kick.
And my favorite main goes to the seafood SIZZLING FAJITAS!!!
A true Brisbane local gem! Dined here last week and had an awesome time - big portions, friendly service, great food!! I also really love the ambience of the place - the feeling of dining at a good friend’s backyard almost - always so lively, no matter what night of the week! Also note: you DEFINITELY have to book in advance if you don’t wanna wait because this place gets packed reeeal quick!
For drinks, I ordered their Mexican House Punch, and the BF ordered one of their ‘Drunk Diablo’ mocktails. The punch definitely had that ‘punch’ it promised (lol, really no other better word 😅), went perfectly with all of the food!! For entrees, we decided to order the Chilli Cheese Fries to share - simple, but done so well! Prepared us nicely for our mains - I ordered the Empanadas while the BF ordered their Sizzling Fajitas. Absolutely MASSIVE servings. Presentation was on point too! The empanada crust had just the right amount of crumble - I actually loved how when it all fell apart, it was on a bed of rice which meant I could just scoop it all up in my spoon. Seriously a shame that our stomachs couldn’t fit in anymore, otherwise we also would’ve gotten dessert! Ahhh, next time, next time 😆
Already strategically planning out how we’ll order next time we visit so we can try more dishes and definitely have room for dessert! Thanks for an amazing night Pepe’s!!!
Where do l even begin with Pepe’s Mexican……We dream about Pepe’s and could honestly go everyday if possible. This restaurant has to be one of my fav restaurants in Brisbane and it has never let us down. Has a very attractive drinks menu but of course l can never go past the 1L jug of frozen slushie margarita. Amaze balls!!
Best Mexican restaurant in Brisbane, probably Qld, possibly eastern seaboard. Don’t be alarmed by quirky and basic setting, food sensational and great beer list also.
This place has a really great atmosphere and we’ve been here lots of times with different groups of people. Everybody’s always enjoyed their choices. They have a really good bar as well. I would recommend booking in advance as they do get quiet busy on weekends. It would have to be one of nicest Mexican restaurants in Brisbane.
Had the medium beef nachos with guacamole & sour cream and it was the best nachos I've had ever!! I will def be back for more! And we watched the cutest lizard eat leftover corn chips...was freakin hilarious!
