I have been to the restaurant on a couple of occasions and have tried a variety of the dishes on offer, dishes are themed from a variety of Asian cultures covering most of South East Asia.
Highly recommend the Miang Kham that is a very zesty refreshing flavour bomb. Also a massive fan of Kaarge chicken which is my favourite on the menu and highly recommended for those who are not inclined to a bit of spice.
The best way to eat here, as with many of the great restaurants of Brisbane, is to eat “tapas”/sharing style. This way the whole group gets to taste and experience a wide range of flavours.
The service in this restaurant is fast, friendly and efficient - waiters and waitresses often give good advice on best dishes and drinks on offer.
I would definitely recommend this place for larger groups and parties.
I have dined both as smaller groups of friends and on a banquet meal.
If you’re ever in the West End get yourself to chop chops to enjoy a wonderfully fun Asian dining experience.
Had dinner here tonight and to have the owner take an interest and recommend to us his best dishes was awesome. The food was to die for. Definitely the best place to eat in the West End. Thanks Brett looking forward to coming back again on our next visit to Brisbane.
Staff are very friendly. Great atmosphere. Food was amazing, so much flavour! Tried a wide selection of foods and all of them were great! Highly recommend!
We got a couple of the entree dishes as mains to share. The food is good quality and very authentic even though it’s across several cuisines. The portions were a little small but still good. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe
I'm still drooling over the food here - so good!
We went as a small group for their Tuesday night banquet option. It was $35 each (I think) and we got about 5 courses and were all full with leftovers at the end.
Every dish was so delicious, unique and full of flavour. I'd highly recommend! !
Went there with my husband and in-laws last weekend, we booked this place accidentally as we meant to go elsewhere but gave it a go anyway, oh my this place is such an excellent mix of cuisine and flavours! My favourite had to be the squid but we got about 5-6 plates to share with pork belly, duck spring rolls etc and they were all amazing. Fresh, reasonable price (150 for 5-6 plates and 4 Vietnamese coffees). Hands down would go again, please get better chairs though instead of stools 😂❤
We enjoyed the roast pork belly and fried chicken. The service was very friendly and it’s a good place to have a drink and relax. We two people spent $70 for dinner with some really good cocktails.
Chop Chop Chang's in one of my favourite restaurants in all of brisbane. Although it is not the cheapest the food here is amazing.
I highly suggest going here with 2 or more people and just sharing all the amazing plates. The used to do breakfast also which is amazing but i don't believe they do it any more.
They also have a great beer selection for all beer lovers.
Arrived at 7 pm and was promptly seated. Great bar vibe serving hawker and asian foods. We already a few drinks earlier that day so opted out for drinks, but they have an extensive list of beers, wines, cocktails, and spirits. Food was delicious, decent portions. Best highlight was the chicken karaage, freshly fried chicken steaming hot and crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. A bonus is they are often featured on eatclub! Stay tuned for their deals!
Phuong Tran and I walk in at 12.30pm and we are quickly seated at this Bar/Restaurant. Interestingly, the Drinks Menu is substantial compared to the single page Food Menu. We place our lunch order and before long our meal is served.
* Crispy Roast Pork Bao ($5) looks appetising. Freshly made up with Roast Pork and Crackling it is nice but not overwhelming. Rating: 3.5
* Thai Salad ($12) is freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. Presentation is nice but the dressing is too tart for our taste. Rating: 3.5
* Crispy Roast Pork Soup Noodles ($16) comes with a humongous serve of tender Roast Pork and Crispy Crackling. The Egg Noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth is tasty. A meal to please any Meat Lover! Rating: 4.5
Service is friendly/helpful while the restaurant is clean and the decor pleasing. The Bar looks impressive and must do a roaring trade during Happy Hour. Thank you guys!
A casual atmosphere with great food!
We came with a group and were able to try a significant portion of the menu, and each dish was worth coming back for. The starters came out quick, and the mains came out one cocktail after that. I am still on the fence with the drunken noodles, as they were the only dish the wasn't finished at the table. The food was similar to, but better than, what I've had at Long Time (mainly because Long Time uses too much sugar in most dishes) but at a much lower cost and without dealing with the prevention of Long Time's ridiculously long wait times.
Service was exceptional (MUCH better than the Brisbane standard), but I would draw back points for the atmosphere being a bit dirty, and the cocktails were pointlessly weak... seriously, a $16 cocktail should have some flavour and kick.
Would happily return!
