This place is a hidden gem. Lovely views out over the river, pretty gardens, awesome menu and great coffee. Service was great too, we were a group of 13 and had no dramas. Highly recommend.
Definitely five stars all the way for location, decor and ambiance, wait staff and delicious food choices. We had the Sunnyside breakfast and everything was perfect with the best tomato salsa accompaniment. The Passionfruit Elixir was so refreshing on a scorching hot day after walking five kms: Passionfruit in coconut water, slices of lime and mint and all topped with lemon sorbet. We’ll definitely be back to this delightful little find we stumbled across on our travels.
Beautiful riverside view, just perfect for candle light dinners. Mouthwatering munchies and exceptional service. Open for Breakfast and lunch every day 7am to 2.30pm and carried forward with dinners to 10pm.
Highly recommend to book online on their website and enjoy the best time you will ever have since long.
Good Food = Good Mood
Recently celebrated my birthday at Medley this week..and oh my God!! My self and specially my guests went home very happy and with a satisfied belly :-). Thank you so much Nick, Mr Fox and the team for pulling off an amazing set-up, food and service for me despite the short notice. Thank you. Will surely be coming back for more!!
A really nice view and nice food and service.
Came here for a light brunch and ordered the berry hotcake. Even though I prefer it not to be soaked with juice / syrup it still retained it's texture and was not too soggy.
The staff updated us on our order as it did take a little while. The toilets are quite nice too.
Would come here again particularly for the view.
I take visitors from out of town here. It is such a beautiful spot. The food is good - not the best but still tasty - and the prices are reasonable. The staff leave you alone without neglecting you
Really enjoyed eating here. The place was quite pretty and had a nice vibe. We ordered the Shashouka which was pleasant and the coffee was decent too. Location is the main attraction for Medley Cafe, with lovely Kangaroo Point views and atmosphere.
Medley is a beautiful place for a dinner for 2. I went with a larger group on my most recent visit and it still worked well but it is such a quiet spot that it is perfect for dinners for 2 and small groups.
I've had fish of the day and curry and they are both delicious. There is also a good choice of wines including a couple of really lovely NZ whites that you don't see that often in Brisbane. The service is quiet and efficient. I'd happily return.
My also-retired workmate Mr. L came by the other day to scoop me off to lunch by the river. He had discovered this wonderful little place, with lovely gardens and some public artworks along the river walk. You can sit and sip something refreshing, and contemplate the universe while watching the City Cats and ferries glide by. What could be nicer on a crazily hot autumn day?
The salmon was a really flavoursome dish. I loved the sweet potato mash, all smooth and yes sweet; the grilled asparagus was just tender enough and crunchy enough to be perfect; and the salmon was a delight. There was crispy skin, and a beautifully tender middle, with a pat of herb butter on the side to add to the beautiful flavour combo. So glad I picked this one!
Mr. L chose an entrée-sized salad, which was fairly substantial and good value for $12.00. It had the usual suspects: fetta, olives, cucumber and onion dressed with extra virgin olive oil. No complaints there. I would have loved to indulge in a dessert, or a cake from the display cabinet, but alas I was too full of delicious fish.
The Pickings Verdict: a fine place to have lunch and watch the watery world go by. Lunch was delicious, and we enjoyed a relaxing time out.
Quite a delightful little night on the Brown Snake. Full moon, Story Bridge in beast mode – Brisbane bloody turning it on. You know how it is in the euphoric state. I guess you're more interested in reading my thoughts on Medley though aren't you? Start with the warm olives. Let them rest in your mouth. Very soothing. The mains were different to the norm. Tasty without knocking you for six. Where are the damn sides but? Seriously. Big dog gotta eat, but he was left woofing down the remains of his wife's risotto. After tasting the ice-cream fudge sundae I calmed down a bit. The furniture and decor is all over the place, but it somehow works. Young waitress needs to take the remedial class: Water Pouring 101. I'd like to come back to try the brekkie here. Maybe we can dine together? Probably not – imagine how weird that would be?
This is Kangaroo Point's best kept secret! Beautiful location, fabulous food and service and oh the views! I know that I will return. Thanks for the wonderful meals and coffee.
This is a superb venue for anytime dining. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner I can recommend all sittings. Great outlook, very attentive and knowledgeable staff with great food. Highly recommend.
Such a beautiful cafe on the banks of the Brissy River. The service was lovely, the views amazing and the menu and wine list was delicious. Medley has such a wonderful atmosphere. It is such a great place to sit out under the tree and relax over a gorgeous meal. On the day that we went, It was quite popular, so we were glad that we had booked.
What a great choice!!!! Last night I celebrated my 60th birthday dinner party at Medley. The table looked fabulous! Food was fantastic, the taste, the quality, presentation and details. Memorable atmosphere. The attention was very personal, efficient and friendly. Nick was very attentive to our requirements. Marguerite the manager of the restaurant discussed with me very single detail of dinner and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
What a beautiful secret garden tucked away on the side of the brisbane river. It was such a relaxing place to have breakfast under the shade. I had no idea what a Welsh rarebit was but I ordered it all the same as it was delicious. So lucky to find this gem whilst visiting brissie and out for a morning walk.
Very good. Great atmosphere and views of the river. Great place to start the day before taking a nice walk under the bridge and through the parks. My breakfast was delicious although - quite expensive?! It was the most expensive on the menu at $24 so admittedly there were cheaper option but it's a sign of the times when you pay $24 for avocado, corn fritter and 2 eggs without blinking 😬. It tasted great but on review I'd probably check out a few cheaper options next time. I'm sure they're just as nice. Would we go back? Absolutely, this is a really top spot in inner Brisbane.
Great place with amazing river view
Visited this joint on a saturday afternoon looking for a cafe to work at ended up spending 3+ hrs at Medley. Was a lil hard to find and parking is slim, but it was aptly compensated by superb service, views and food.
The staff were super nice and happily accommodated unusual request for an iced coffee without ice. The food menu is unique with world cuisine offerings, i tried the salad which was delicious.
The beautiful view was complimented with soothing live music.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful date night at Medley. The food, service and overall experience was incredible.
