THE best kept secret in Brisbane. This hidden gem is even more so with construction works. It's well worth the effort to find.
Busy, loud and with a wide range of customers this place has broad appeal. The service was great!
An enormous menu caters to all tastes. The food arrived promptly and was served hot. The portions are enormous!

I have been eating at Kingsfood for 15 years now. The menu and quality of food has been super consistent the entire time. The staff are always very nice, helpful, beautiful and attentive to your needs. It’s been a staple of Market Square for a very ,very long time, outlasting other restaraunt’s easily. I highly recommend it! The food is always cooked perfectly and tastes amazing, as well as being great value!
Somehow 5 years has passed since my last visit to Kingsfood Sunnybank. It wasn't packed when we got there around 6:30pm on a Saturday, though a queue had built out the door by the time we left about an hour later.
Our order:
* no.44 yang chow fried rice, $14.50 - with prawns and Chinese pork sausages
* no.45 Taiwanese style fried Hokkien noodle with pork, $11
* watermelon juice, $5
* plum frappe, $4
These guys have been since forever and I had forgotten how cheap the drinks here are compared to the newer batches of drink outlets. They may not be as fancy, but sometimes that's all you're after. Nice and refreshing.
Food wise our dishes were of a good portion and tasted fine. There's lots more on the menu I'd be keen to get reacquainted with including share dishes which means I'll need to come back with more people!
Also keen to check out the new Kingsfood branch in the CBD - looks to be a good contender for the next time I'm after a weekday lunch option.
Food was AMAZING!!! Loved it. I get why so many people come here.. The restaurant itself was nothing special. The service was quick . I loved that we could take home our left overs.
I have eaten enough Salty Fish Fried Rice over the years, I could cover Market Square carpark with rice....I love it.
It’s always busy here and for good reason! Food always comes out fast and always very tasty. Portions are also really big.
We LOVE kingsfood! We eat here at least once per month. Food is always consistent. Coconut milk tea is delicious. Make sure you try schezwan chicken, salt and pepper squid, crispy shredded beef in sweet chilli sauce.

Always a long line here, this place is absolutely worth it. And thank goodness it is not cash only anymore (though there is a min spend)
The white chicken dish is absolutely amazing and a bargain for less than $20. I love the self help tea and soup as well.
Authentic flavours, highly recommend you check this place (after you struggle to find parking for ages). Don’t forget it closed Monday
Kingsfood has always been great..Have been coming here with my family for many years that some of the staff remember us..Love the food hot and tasty....Love the Taro frappe best I've tasted anywhere..
When we do come we order a plate per person so we have a mixture of foods.. our go to are
3 mixed Roast with Pork Belly, BBQ and Duck

Beef and Kai-Lan in BBQ Sauce
Salt and pepper calamari
The food doesn't always come out at the same but we are busy talking and because we already know this we always get shared meals..For the amount of tables cleared and reused each night staff are run of there feet but will always come take an extra drink order happily....
A must-try when at Sunnybank. Kingsfood has a great selection of AMAZING Asian dishes. The ambience may not be as nice as other restaurants nearby but Kingsfood has by far, the most delicious food I’ve had at Sunnybank.

My first review on Zomato because I am never really bothered BUT I had to share how great Kingsfood restaurant really is! I've been eating here at least once a month since 2013. The main factor is that the meals are always consistently super tasty no matter how frequent or less frequent you come here the food is always consistently the same tasty flavour, I don't know how they do it but theyve never dropped their standards in what they serve out unlike most other eateries in the market square, every dish I've had has been great in flavour & value. At Kingsfood the portions are filling (and I'm a big bloke), and the prices are justified for what you get - so please Kingsfood I hope you don't increase prices or reduce portion sizes like the other restaurants are doing in the market square which I've stopped going to now. The new taiwanese fried chicken dish & the new frappe drink menu (mango & watermelon my favourite) are great additions to the menu - must try . Customer service from staff has always been good. All the Staff & food gets a well deserved 5 star. After writing this review I am now hungry for more Kingsfood haha.
