wow . wow ..wow .. everything was perfect last night.. delicious persian food .. nice and delightful environment.. staffsand customer service was excellent..
spectacular. Brisbane really needed such a good persian restaurant.
highly recommended
Joo Jeh Kebob and Kebob koobideh were delicious. Great food. Easy parking. Lovley people. Highly recommend this place.
Farah is a great Persian cuisine restaurant in Spring Hill. They have great ambience and fell to their restaurant. The food is prepared with love and even dish like kebab wrap took sometime to come to the table and reason was the skewers were grilled afresh. The chicken was juicy and succulent. I loved it. It is a great option for lunch if you are around Spring Hill. Thanks Farah Management and Chef
Delicious food, lovely family atmosphere, great entertainment and friendly staff! This restaurant is a must try, I recommend having a combination of vegetarian and meat dishes.
Review from 2017, been to this place couple of times and seems to be one of the best in town delivering persian cuisine. Grills and rice dishs are all good to try. Service a little slow but it's expected when dishes are made with quality
Nice place
I enjoy the outdoor sitting specially for lunch, but got to find somewhere with a bit of shade otherwise it gets uncomfortable
The only dish I recommend is the Bonab kebab
I have tried other types of their kebab (like chicken, mince, cutlet) but they are average.
Rice is also good
Their dessert was also good such as saffron ice cream
I would go back for their Bonab again
Staff are polite and check on you but they can be a bit more friendly
We visited this place on a quite Wednesday evening. To our surprise restaurant was busy even on a weekday.
We ordered simple lamb mince shish & chicken kebab platter, some Lebanese Bread, hummus & smokey eggplant dip. Food was delicious & fresh. Saffron rice that was in the platter was flavourful. Best was lamb mince kebab. Please try this when you are there. Chef Ali came out to check on guests which I found very nice. He is genuinely nice Iranian fellow who cooks from heart. Also try there faloodeh, saffron icrecream in rose syrup with icy noodles is yum..will definitely return with our friends..
Best quality meat and chicken kebab, amazing lamb shank combined by great Costomer service that all you can experience in Farah restaurant, very nice atmosphere and warm hospitality
Great food and good ambience. Koobideh was very good, but best was bonab (mince lamb marinated with spices and saffron). Faloodeh with saffron ice cream was amazing probably best I’ve had in Oz !
I visited Farah with a Persian crew, so we had high hopes and high expectations. I must say, the food was excellent and this was the consensus all round. I had the lamb shank, it was tender and delicious and I love that they served extra sauce/broth on the side to soak your rice and meat in, although it could have been slow cooked an hour or two more to get the tendons of the lamb to that jelly consistency. Others around the table had different items including a vegetable platter (average, but you can't really expect Persians to do vegetarian fare well!), and chicken/meatball/steak skewers. We also shared an eggplant dip and garlic yoghurt. There was no Persian bread, but cold pita bread... it could have at least been toasted. But all items were very good and met the standards of the Persian foodies.
One issue I had with the restaurant, was that they charged extra for each pat of butter (you simply MUST have butter on your basmati), and extra again for raw onion (a necessity when eating the charcoaled meats), and once more for using eftpos. These little things brought down my opinion of the place, especially when the bill was already very close to $200. I've not yet been to a Persian restaurant that charges extra for these bits.
Another side note: The restaurant itself was nicely furnished, but it was very hot - we had to ask for the AC to be turned on as it was very stuffy inside on a hot Brisbane day.
Serves authentic middle eastern food and quality and taste is second to non. Family run and owners presence is noticeable on the shop floor. Food might take a while when busy and portion size good be a little better but still serves 5 star 👍
Got takeaway and the food was delicious. It was my first time trying this place but I already can’t wait to go back. Lovely staff. The restaurant to eat in looks frat too. Thanks
Excellent and very authentic food and service. The place gives you a great Persian feel with all its beautiful display and ornate pieces. The music was also soothing giving you a great vibe.
Chef Ali’s food is highly recommended and very delicious. The seven flavoured pot tea is awesome and a personal favourite of mine. Ali recommendation of Baklava for us swooshed us off our feet.
Ali and his team also managed to prepare us orange flavoured Shisha despite his extra busy schedule and shortage of staff.
Highly recommend this place for something new and unique. Definitely visiting Farah again with my friends during one of the weekends to witness the dances as promised by Ali.
Thank you Ali and team for the wonderful evening.
Farah Restaurant!!! THANK YOU!!! for restoring my confidence in Persian food in Queensland.
The food was amazing did not take long was cooked properly we got all we wanted and even my 3-year-olds needs were met.
The Kebab was Fresh juicy and just break in your mouth delicious
The Gourmeh Sabzi was tender tasty and what made it work was they did not loose the quality of the food it was the right temperature even the freshly cooked fries for my daughter was perfect I wanted to eat it as well.
If you are in Brisbane City this is place to go.
Make sure you call and make a booking they are always busy for good reason.
QQ= Quality and Quantity= 100%
Perfect service!!!
Very beautiful restaurant. Server is friendly. We ordered lamb shank with dill rice. The shank is very juicy and tender. The shislik, with 4pcs of lamb skewers came with a mixed of saffron and white rice. Very moist lamb with spices. There's few parking space near the restaurant, which is by the roadside. Highly recommend this place. Worth my trip from Singapore.
Greta vibe and fantastic quality with super friendly and welcoming staff!! Absolutely one of the bests Persian restaurants in QLD and I’d highly recommend this place if you wanted to try a real taste of a Persian dish!!
Thanks Farah Restaurant’s Crew
First time in a Brisbane Persian restaurant and I was amazed with this restaurant and its quality of food and service. I believe the price is also fair.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to taste an Iranian cuisine. I hope to visit this place again.
Ok, so I'm from Alice Springs where the Cafe and restaurant people try very hard, but this we do not have. Granted I was very hungry, but oh gosh the food was great, almost as good as the service. Top marks to all involved, will definitely try to get back at some point. I took a photo of my entree, an eggplant based dip, it disappeared quickly, the main course went down even faster and I didn't think to get a photo. Thank you! You were awesome.
This is the best and possibly the only Persian restaurant in Brisbane. I would definitely come back here again when I'm in Brisbane but there are a few small touches that could make the place on paar with Persian restaurants in iran.
- the koubide was a little too dry, with not enough onions. I could still feel the taste of lamb a little.
- grilled tomato was small and not enough. just add one more ;)
- no butter served with rice. Usually rice is served with extra butter for real Persian rice fans.
- staff were super nice, but a little unprofessional. I had to move the platesmy self and take the food plate from the other side of table.
Again these are all small touches, but it would make a great difference.
Had dinner here yesterday, all I can say is it’s a must try! Meat are very soft and tasty and all dips are amazing 🤩 bonus that their team are warm and accommodating! Will return for the wraps! 🥰
