Decent greek fare in South Bank's main eating street. There's a lot of greek food to be had in Melbourne. It was good to see the meat being cooked, you knew what you were getting. The cocktails were tasty. I enjoyed the dolmades. They are so underrated. One of the better eateries in South Bank.
Was really good overall! Had delicious food but quite overpriced in order to try some of everything for a large group.
Food was fantastic. Very yummy. The calamari might be the best ive ever eaten. Only thing to be aware of is if you get a groupon, you will be required to provide credit card details to the Zeus app on your phone (only) to claim it, even though the groupon is already paid for. It doesnt tell you that on the groupon at all. I wasnt delighted with that. I dont intend to actually use the credit card in the app to eat there.
Will happily go back and pay full price though, the food is to die for.
the wraps here are fantastic, i used to get my wife to bring me one home after work all the time, the only issue is because i want half lamb half chicken, it always cost me extra for some reason, and it started getting pretty expensive for a souvlaki when u then add holoumi and feta onto it, they also do a great calamari if you haven't tried it, it's absolutely delicious, wish it was somewhere other than southbank so it could be a little cheaper though.
Located in crowded area of Southbank, Zeus is always jam-packed with people in the evening. Zeus has really good and wide ranges of pitas! Been here twice and always enjoyed the food. The service was good and the food came quite fast. The pitas were in decent portion and packed to the brim. I have tried Apollo and Aegean Schnitzel and both meats were moist and the sauces tasted great. The pitas were in the right size that they could envelope all ingredients inside. Totally dig the chips, especially haloumi chips. The haloumi gave savoury complement to the chips and made the chips tasted really good.
Would give this a 4.5 actually.. really really surprised at how good the pita wraps were!! Staff were eager to please and my calamari wrap was really good. Service is super prompt as well. Overall I really can’t fault anything. Another plus is that they have a tap to wash your hands which is always really handy.
Decent pita wraps, loved the chicken version of the same. They were filled with juicy chicken along with fries and tomatoes.
☑️☑️☑️Recommends : Classic Tzimmy
Cost :11.5$
❎❎❎Would Not Prefer : Stavros Stavrou
Reason : Overly tangy flavour which did not blend well with the fillings
It's a filler for one person.
They do have additional sauces and add ons which comes at an additional cost.
Coming to the service, the staff will as helpful and polite to help me understand the dishes on the menu.
Would I Come Back?
Yes, to try the other varieties of food on menu.
Today at Southbank I decided to revisit this shop as I hadn't been there in a while.
I was surprised at how quiet it was compared to how it used to be before but the food seems to have a similar quality as before.
Not long after ordering I was served my Fimi Falafel Yiros, it was not impressive but still managed to fit for a decent dinner, with a couple of veggies inside and the beetroot hummus it managed to pair well with the falafel which would have been a bit dry otherwise.
Overall I enjoyed my meal and my friend was also happy with his yiros.
The venue looks great, the staff are really friendly and the food is superb.
The wraps are the perfect healthy takeaway lunch.
Whilst this time around my gf and I had the Feast for Two which was huge.
We chose the Village Salad (the classic Greek style salad) and the Calamari for our sides.
For the meat of choice we got chicken, and it was excellently char grilled!
The Calamari was of the quality that you would expect from a restaurant that specialises in seafood.
Between two of us we struggled to finish the meal it was well portioned. And for $43 it's extremely well priced for our date night.
Pair that with a Mythos beer, it was a night thoroughly enjoyed.
My friends and I really enjoyed our meal at Zeus Street in Southbank, and will come back! I have the lamb souvla and a side of haloumi - absolutely delicious! The lamb was cooked perfectly and held great flavour. Everything was really well priced for the food that you get.
We were at Zeus this week. Lovely place and great hospitality. Food was awesome. Man, those four dips.. my favourite was the egg plant dip. We took away our leftover lamb (no photos though), my son loved it. We'll definitely return..
Nice variety of seating options. Spacious for a weekday lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. As much as you can ask for in this style of restaurant. The menu seemed reasonably priced but a bit more questionable once the the food was served - Spartan bowl felt small. Mind you, it took a while to get through so it was probably appropriate. The bread and chicken were both really good, but the slaw was super simple and the serving of the dip was small. Overall, would return, would recommend, probably a food option to weigh up alongside grill'd, burrito bar and GyG.
Food was super fast and service was great . We ordered from the table on the app , some of the items were slightly more expensive for some reason but only by 50c. You can always order from the counter but it’s great that they have the option. All food was as described and tasted good . Food was priced right .
Great location and accessible from Grey street and Little Stanley. It is clean with friendly staff. The food lives up to what one would expect of Greek food. Great sharing options and nice atmosphere.
Came here for dinner and would definitely recommend! Food was nice and prices are very affordable. Great ambience too, with lovely views of Southbank. Thank you!
