The food and service are very good. Steak is tasty. Also, cocktail is nice. The view is beautiful too. You can see brisbane river and the wheel of brisbane.
We went here for Friday lunch and had a great time. The food was excellent and you could tell the produce was fresh and of high quality. We shared some antipasti for entrees which included calamari with fennel salad (exceptionally fresh and delicious) polpette (meatballs in tomato sauce), baked mushrooms, burrata and arancini. I had the porchetta for main which was delicious. My dining partners has the ragu pasta, eye fillet and squid ink gnocchi. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was very professional and attentive but not intrusive. A nice place to have a special lunch!
Well what do you expect from the Gambaro family. Well presented and located, with a fitout and seating that meets a very comfortable, modern and relaxing standard. While very large, the service was efficient, friendly and professional. The wine list must be one of the better ones in Brisbane. The food is of course, casual Italian dining variety. Lovely. Great flavours and a good selection. A location that is great to do business and easy to entertain in - maybe a little large for the more discrete romantic dinners - but the food and wine will cover that off nicely. A great Brisbane restaurant.
Best fine dining experience I have ever had in Brisbane. Firstly, the staff here are fantastic. Great knowledge of the wine list, menu and all extremely attentive. The restaurant itself is exquisite, looking over Southbank. We started our night off with the fried squid to share, 10/10. We didn't want to feel full before our mains! I ordered the seafood risotto...Oh my god. This risotto was next level it was incredible. Fresh seafood and lots of it, this has to be one of the best meals I have eaten. The rest of my table ordered the market fish (swordfish), lamb cotolette and the porchetta. All dishes were faultless, my whole table left extremely happy. However, 2/4 of my dining party were gluten intolerant so it would have been nice to see a GF pizza base or GF pasta. Would have loved to have gotten dessert but none were gluten free :(
Exquisite hospitality and service. Hervey Bay scallops fresh Tasmanian oysters and granita wonderful with pepper; spatchcock superb market fish as good as expected from gambaro; pork spare ribs lean and delicious; beautiful sides plenty of greens service a standout strawberry dessert a standout. Slightly noisy on the verandah but inside is cosseted and quiet

Dinner at Persone will definitely make for a memorable occasion. Beautiful spot for afternoon drinks by the river watching the cars zoom by on the M1 makes for quite the setting for a romantic meal or after work drinks with friends. I thought the rush of cars would lead to a noisy environment however, it was quite the contrary. The ambience was perfect and set the scene for a very enjoyable meal. I would definitely recommend this place for my friends to try. Modern and sophisticated Italian style food is what to expect. Not quite at the level of what Nona serves up on a Sunday afternoon (is anything?) yet still plenty of positives to indulge in. Service was very good and the only fault was that they did not get the memo we had a vegetarian amongst the group. However, to their credit they did their best to rectify the situation as soon as they found out.
Amazing dinner here tonight and considering they are newly opened, we were left impressed. Definitely no teething issues. The view is sensational, the fit out sleek and the food just the right amount of experimental whilst keeping that homely and warm feeling that we all want with our Italian food. The service is also top notch and befitting of the locale. I look forward to the rest of this precinct being finished and coming alive as along with the W Hotel, it breathes life to this end of the city.
Persone is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Brisbane. We went there for dinner on Saturday night and the food was fantastic. I had the lamb ravioli with sage butter sauce, the fresh pasta was perfectly cooked and the lamb tender and full of flavour. Then for dessert I ordered the poached strawberries w lemon granita and mascarpone which was very nice. Others that I was with ordered the spaghetti, pork and beef ragu, pesto gnocchi. We all really enjoyed our meals. The restaurant has great position with a view of the Brisbane river and city.
Delicious food, great service and they will let you split the bill! Will be definitely be back. Had the arancini and parpadelle - both delicious.
The fitout is superb! I had an enjoyable time seeing the Brisbane River while having my meal.
Being a new concept restaurant of the Gambaro Group, their wine and oysters still never disappoint me. Surprisingly, the limoncello granita is a perfect match with the oysters.
My favourite is definitely the Pappardelle Al Ragu, the flavour was rich and the braised beef was succulent. A must try!
