Had so much fun here! Came in feeling a little tired but left so full of energy and laughing. The enthusiasm from staff was infectious, when anyone ordered Sake the servers and customers cheered the roof off the place, overwhelming at first but hilarious and fun after you get used to it. The food was amazing, would specifically come back from the Sunshine Coast again just to have dinner here again
A few delicious vegan options plus jugs of cocktails and the bubbliest, most efficient staff I've ever encountered. A great fun place to go with a group for dinner.
Good food and great service. Very consistent
Love this place. Always fun. Always yum. And yep we always leave with bellies like sumo.
âAre you ready???â The cheeky eye glint hints at the kooky bedlam thatâs also served with the generous sake pours. So firstly make sure to order a sake (or 2 or 3). The house stuff is surprisingly good.
Weâve tried & tested most the menu & highly recommend:
â«ïžDuck gyoza poached with spicy vinegar - blitzes plain duck hands down
â«ïžTempura eggplant - smooth, light innards with a crispy finish
â«ïžLemongrass chicken gyoza poached with ponzu - so much flavour
â«ïžOpen pork belly on crispy gyoza skins
â«ïžTokoyaki - gyoza is the new balls
â«ïžAgedashi tofu - broth good to the last drop
â«ïžKoshihikari rice beer
â«ïžFor groups - go the banquets
Two things Iâd actively avoid are:
â«ïžthe mega sweet cocktails - Iâm looking at you watermelon sour & lychee martini
â«ïžthe bland raindrop cake. Matcha was its saving grace but the kinako (soybean & sugar powder) wasnât to our taste.
Popular for good reason. Kanpai!

Harajuku Gyoza (south bank) was great restaurant with a vibrant feeling. The restaurant is really colourful and well maintained with a fabulous Team!!
They prepare their food nice and fresh everyday - which is an amazing thing as most of the Gyoza restaurants are not following that!
-> Cheeseburger Gyoza (crispy fried) - Gyoza was well cooked and it was crispy with great flavours inside. 5/5
-> Pork & Prawn Gyoza (Poached) - Perfectly cooked with nice texture and sprinkles of spring onions on top - Cooked for perfection. 5/5
-> Lemongrass Chicken Gyoza (Poached) - Lemongrass Chicken was flavourful with a small touch of sour to it - which made the Gyoza Delicious. 5/5
-> Chicken Karage - The pieces of chicken were nice and tendered. Usually Karage chicken would be more crispier outside, but this one was not as much. Crispy. 4/5
-> Tempura Eggplant - The eggplant was amazing inside as it was super soft and great to eat. But the Outer part (dough) was Rick hard and it makes the dish really hard to eat. 2/5
-> Chicken Wings (pepper & Soy) - The Chicken was perfectly cooked and it was super delicious. Filled with flavours and once you start eating, you wouldnât want to stop!! 5/5
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone as the Team were great and they menu is perfect with great prices!!
The food is delicious and service is friendly. Decor is funky and cool. The restaurant is pretty busy and loud. This is a good place to eat.
Itâs becoming a trend to just hideaway and eat food to escape this crazy eat.Oh, well let dig in đ. First up, nice and refreshing cold green tea. Open Tebasaki Peppered Chicken WingsChicken wings were lightly spicy with plenty of meat (and wings) to them. The flavor was surprisingly addictive, I wasnât sure what to expect but this combo was very rewarding.EdamameAfter learning the proper way of consuming these it is so much more enjoyable⊠just eat the insides, not the whole bean đGyoza with Slow Cooked Pork Belly, Apple, Pickled Ginger on Crispy Gyoza SkinsThe gyoza is a newer addition to the menu, itâs similar to a taco but with a small thick gyoza. Itâs a bit different, but i really enjoyed the tender pork on top and the fresh salad. (not pictured cucumber salad, absolutely delicious highly recommend)
Came here a few months ago to get takeaway food, the wait was a little longer than expected for a relatively not busy store. But the food was nice, and the service was lovely too!
Pretty cool how you can see inside the kitchen too!
Sadly I did not get any food pics the last time that I ate here. The food is spectacular, the staff are super friendly and the Gyoza OMG! OMG!. I am not a person who drinks alcohol but I had to try the Sake to see all the theatrics that take place when you order one. I LOVE this place.
Enjoyed a very tasty dinner at this dumpling bar at Southbank. First the miso soup to start was a tad salty but didn't distract from taste. My next course was fried eggplant was super tender & flavor bang on , loved the crunchy skin. Then there was those sumptuous vegetarian fried dumplings the star of the show. Delicate cases enfolding around the gently spiced veg, light & yum
This is my second time here and I have to say the service is amazing! Start to finish youâll have a great experience. Iâve never seen staff so happy in my life, itâs really refreshing to see a place that seems to have a wonderful workplace culture. The lovely girl who served us (sorry didnât get the name) recommended we try the new cheeseburger flavour gyoza which didnât disappoint! Had all the flavours you would expect if you were to bite into a delicious burger. I will be back! Especially since I got a buy one Gyoza get one free coupon at the end. Woop woop!
Friendly environment and atmosphere, can be somewhat loud during peak hours so conversation can be hard to have. Wait staff are incredibly attentive and food is always brought out promptly. Food is consistently fresh and tasty. Serving sizes are great for the price - prices are very reasonable. It is to be noted that street parking is hard to find during peak hours, but paid parking is available a short distance away.
