Vintage Bar And Grill, at Hilton Hotel offers steak and Modern Australian food in a chic, contemporary space with leather sofas.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. Overall the host and waiters were friendly but the quality of the food and cocktails did not live up to the expectation considering a 5-star hotel restaurant. The steak was chewy, couldn’t believe what we were eating and the mushroom sauce was bland. Personally, the temperature in a restaurant was a bit cold for dinner couldn’t feel its cozy or great atmosphere. Maybe it just happened to us today but can’t recommend it to anyone with this experience.

Elegant atmosphere, delightful food and staff who know how to be friendly yet unobtrusive. The lamb was delicious 😋 and the lemon pana cotta was fragrant and tasty. The breakfast does take a little longer to be served with COVIDSAFE processes in place. The juice bar is the ‘bees knees’ in my view.

Really great food. Main and sides are well organised.

We had the banquet and were blown away by the quality of their food, service, and cocktails 🍸! At only $46 pp for the 2-course option and $63 for 3 courses, it’s definitely a great deal if you’re looking for a special evening. They’re only available on Fri & Sat evenings at the moment.

I'd been here about two years ago for the tomahawk and enjoyed it so much I dragged nine other friends to do it again. The photographed tomahawk (medium rare) served six people with average appetite very well (more meat was stripped from the "bone"), all of us adding one salad side. Lovely flavours, very well seasoned and a bit of char smokiness which I enjoyed. Salad sides were honestly quite small for the price, which was the only disappointment. Service was really good, though notably we had preordered a few days in advance to allow the kitchen time to prepare. They were attentive but not overbearing, and friendly whilst being professional. Would absolutely recommend them. Toilets clean and well lit, paper towels and no contact exit.

Had an amazing meal here tonight. Steaks cooked to perfection and our waitress Arlene was world class. Will be back!

No matter how amazing the food was, I won’t be returning based on the service I received from the manager. Rude would be an understatement. Saturday night was dead, the resultant failed to even fill 1/4 of the space. However when you raise your hand for service, the manager looks directly at you and blatantly ignores you. Why is it that I have to raise my voice in a fine dining establishment to get attention of staff who stand around talking to each other? Poor form.

This is a Terrible restaurant I experienced <br/><br/>We booked at 17:30, coz the baby needs to sleep at 19:00. We arrived around 17:20 and We used 10 mins to order the 2 kgs steak and a plate of fish. However, we wait 1hr 20mins!!!!!! During this period, no food served to us! We made a complaint to the duty manager. No apologies !!! Just keep said” the 2 kg steak need to cook 1hr!!” <br/>At least, after we ordered you should tell us the 2 kg steak need to take a longer time. <br/>We cannot believe how the restaurant runs with this service and attitude!!!!!

I love the taste of food. If they don't put the green herbs on all of the dishes, the presentation would be even better. Prawn risottos and the vege cheese dishes are my favorite.

A brief stay at the Hilton Brisbane, and decided to dine at Vintaged. A nicely refreshed menu, with a broadly appealing range and at better price points that I remember from the corporate-expense priced steaks of a few years ago. A good option if staying in house, or for a city lunch or dinner.

Having recently been reading online about the $29 lunch special at Vintaged Bar and Grill, I mentioned this to IronFist, who has most recently been on a protein binge and had to drag him away from the gym to go with me and check it out. Taking a quick stroll up Elizabeth Street, we arrived at peak lunch hour for our 12.30 reservation.

My partner and I came on a weekend for the amazing $49 per person entree + main + movie ticket at Elizabeth picture theater + valet parking deal. If you’re keen for a fancy upper class date night without breaking the budget this is the perfect place. Impeccable service right from the get go. Had the beef tartare for entree - was refreshing and actually reminded us of a Big Mac, although the side of potato chips it came with was questionable (think of Smith’s chips!). Then came Mains of Beef ragu papardelle - best dish of the night, full of flavor and perfect consistency of the pasta, Pork belly with greens and apple parsnip purée - well seasoned overall above average. Great selection of cocktails, tried the Svenska which was delightful. We were quite full for dessert but fitted in a blue cheese 🧀 from south Australia which was super yummy. Would love to come back for normal service.

They offer a wide range of breakfast items - from cereals, hot dishes, made-to-order eggs, fresh bread, fruits, juices and yoghurt. The staff was friendly and attentive. Keen to come back again.
High Tea Queen
Ordered: <br/>1. Club sandwich from the bar menu - I usually order this when I want to relax at this nice Hilton hotel bar, last year it came with chips and tomato sauce, this year there was no chips and the sandwich didn't taste as good, I was a little disappointed <br/>2. Tea - their teas are average to good, it's nice that they include a small biscuit on the side <br/>3. Bread with 3 dips- good and filling<br/>4. High tea - used to be my regular go to place for high tea on the weekend as they allowed walk in order, the high tea is average but for someone who loves high tea so much, the ability to walk in without pre-booking was perfect for me, this has changed this year and you will require to book in advance.<br/>5. Desserts from the bar menu - the menu changes all the time, it can be very good sometimes and only average other times <br/>6. Mocktails - very pretty, I normally order the passionfruit one, the flavour is quite citrus/sour <br/>7. Steak at the restaurant side- average and can be too oily sometimes <br/><br/>Will I go back: yes, Hilton bar is my favourite place to relax, the atmosphere there is so good, you can just order a drink, read a book and chill

We are always on the hunt for some great steak and vintaged bar and grill came to the party. We had the 40 day dry aged 400gm op rib which was cooked to perfection👌. The strawberry milkshakes desert was amazing, so many textures and flavours that went so well together, its a must.

Food was quite average for the price. No wow at all. Side dish portion was small, you get a very small bowl of thick cut chips for $10.<br/><br/>Service was disappointing, had to ask waitor for menus after sitting down for 5mins. It was a weeknight the restaurant was 30% full. Then again had to wave a waitor to order. Service was a bit slow too. Then when trying to get the waitress attention she looked at me and looked away. Not what you expect at a fine dining restaurant.

FOOD 3.5<br/>SERVICE 3.5<br/>AMBIENCE 4.0<br/><br/>Been here many times, the food and drinks are great. Had the opportunity to try out their signature desert, loved it... its a desert that has large description to it, hence it is hard to remember. Absolutely loved this desert.<br/><br/>Great place to come back to.

Amazing food my steak was perfect! Everyone else loved their food too. Waiter Matthew was so nice really made our night. A little bit of a wait but it takes time for perfection!

My meal was the Cone Bay barramundi served with lemon and baby herbs with my choice of condiment - salmoriglio. Salmoriglio is an olive oil based sauce, and while it was beautifully concocted, I think I have chosen the wrong condiment to accompany my fish as I found it quite oily. Nevertheless, the fish was cooked to perfection with crispy skin. Mr had one of the steaks and his choice of medium was cooked perfectly. He was happy with his choice of mushroom sauce and we happily immersed our chips into the sauce.

Within the walls of the Brisbane Hilton Hotel lies Vintaged Bar and Grill, with its wooden features, high ceilings and see through glass wall wine cellar. From an event to a family gathering to your date night, here is just a perfect place to show your sophisticated side. With every season allowing for special menu that welcomes you nicely to the season you're in allows you to be able to dine here without having to order or look at the same menu again and again.

Great restaurant and Bar, attentive staff and wonderful flavours on the dishes! Rigo was very welcoming and very accommodating. Will return for sure!

My partner and I don't often do fine dinning but what a place do to do it! Exceptional service and food. Need to mention the steak in mushroom sauce. It was just divine!

Amazing breakfast at Vintaged. Normally hotel breakfasts are lack lustre but this was a high end amazing quality breakfast. All the usuals plus allot more gourmet choices. Definitely worth it.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and were surprised to see how empty the restaurant was. Service was good, our mains were ok, cocktails were amazing but the dessert was terrible.

I attended as a guest as part of a function, although I did get items from their regular menu. <br/><br/>Food: very tasty, well presented and technically proficient. My only gripe, the guy sitting next to me got a bigger serving - lol!<br/><br/>Service: attentive and unobtrusive. <br/><br/>Decor: modern, sleek and comforting. Chairs were a little disconcerting. We were seated in the private dining room, which has no soft surfaces ; I'd say the main dining room would be less echoey. <br/><br/>Verdict: quite good. Price seems a little high but not bad for a hotel restaurant. Will require additional assessment.

Perfect!<br/><br/>Just went in for a coffee and was blown away with the friendliness of the staff. Beautiful coffee delivered with 2 Anzac biscuits and water constantly refilled. Perfect to stop and relax away from the hustle and bustle of Queens St Mall.<br/><br/>Well done!!

For my main I got the 300g Sirloin Steak ($48) medium rare with Mushroom sauce. Can I just say that it was divine. The mushroom sauce was flavorsome whilst creamy and the steak was cooked just how I like it. <br/><br/>We also ordered potato puree ($10) and some thick cut chips ($10). I can't say it was anything special- except just as a note, the potato puree is not chunky like mashed potatoes. It was a bit like baby food (well it is a puree) <br/><br/>For dessert I got the Strawberry Milkshake ($17) and bloody hell this is one of the best desserts I've tasted. I'm not so much of a sweet tooth but this definitely takes the cake. It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet which I like- but with that being said we also ordered the Valrhona Chocolate Fondant ($15). This was yummy but a bit rich for my taste. If you love chocolate, this one is definitely for you. <br/><br/>FOOD: 8/10<br/>SERVICE: 9/10<br/>AMBIENCE: 7/10

Dined at this one hatted restaurant on last Thursday with group of five. Lay-out is grand and spacious with opened kitchen set at reasonable distance from the dining area. Attractive point is the see-through wine cellar which makes you thinking about how a sip of wine matched with the delicious meal later on. We ordered entree individually and two shared platter of grilled meats and seafoods. We are lucky to have the Feb promotion of Figs so three of the entree involved figs and the other two were Pork Belly and Scallops. Plating is at one-hatted standard and so as the taste. I love the shared platters, particularly the pork belly and duck breast which were done perfectly. Culinary skill was showed on the grilled seafood platter, all the shell seafoods were just well done and full of juicy. I loved the peeled sand crab meat, they were so sweet. Needless to say, the desserts that we ordered must have some Figs again and I am much appreciated the Figs Tartare which is a good innovation. Thank you for such unforgettable dining experience. You definitely deserve for one-hatted.

Dined here twice durning my stay at the Hilton. Both great experiences. They were having a seasoning lamb special entree that was tender and flavorful and the salmon was simple but cooked perfectly. For lunch I had the pork chop and it was amazing - juicy, tender and lightly sweetened. Restaurant is stylish and spacious. Two thumbs up.

For the quality and quantity of food the menu was incredibly overpriced. <br/><br/>We ordered the salmon which came with three cherry tomatoes and some sprouts and paid about $35 each. Thinking to get some extra vegetables we paid an extra $10 for a pathetic selection of steamed veggies.<br/><br/>Another member of our group ordered the king prawns. The five small prawns were accompanied again by three cherry tomatoes and sprouts. $45 for five prawns. That's $9 per individual prawn. <br/><br/>Though the food we did have was lovely, it did not deserve the steam price. <br/><br/>The service was slow on the day we visited and it took fifteen minutes from our mains coming out for the vegetables to arrive.<br/><br/>We will not eat here again

I was lucky enough to attend The Agrarian Table at Vintage Bar + Grill. All courses were delicious and the customer service sensational from all waitresses. We also spoke to the chef afterwards who was extremely friendly and professional.
Chup
The whole experience didn't start off well. Firstly when my partner and I came in we saw our friend and immediately told the attending waitress that our friend is waiting for us. She asked us where our friend was sitting and we pointed, which my friend then waved to all of us. However the waitress then asked us "is there space at the table for you both?" And I was confused and told her that we made a booking for 4 our friend was already here and seated. she then said that she had to check first before she let us in. We had to wait 5-10 minutes before being seated. I thought it was quite rude and was not impressed. All was well until our mains arrived where we were not given plates to eat with. The staff had just dropped the mains off (on small tables beside our tables) and then walked off. As we were sharing we were unsure as to how we were gonna "share" without our own plates. We had to ask someone for them which I think is ridiculous. Then when we ordered our desserts it took about 25-30 minutes to arrive. We were then given dessert as complimentary, but it was already a disappointing meal especially considering it was not exactly cheap (even without the cost of the dessert). I did notice they had 2-3 large tables, however the restaurant was at 40% capacity at most and for a Friday they must be more efficient than that. The food in itself was mediocre, not bad but it wasn't anything stellar. Other than the first waitress, everyone else who served us were very nice, however it was just not up to standard for the price of the whole thing. I can get decent food, a smile and bang for my buck at the pub.

Seafood - more like I dophinetly won't come back!. Despite the table service being immaculate- the Vintage Seafood share plate was the complete opposite. The mussels were so over cooked that they looked as if they had been left on the jetty in the sun yet the mini squid was so fresh that the juices that it oozed when cut reminded one of the fish entrails on the floor at the local market. We received 50% off our bill and the highlight was the free sour dough bread as an entree. Choose carefully

Biggest Breakfast Buffet Disappointment. We went here based on a recommendation. We were so sorely disappointed & then massively shocked when we got the bill. We've had buffet breakfasts at other major hotels in Brisbane City & this one just doesn't stack up. Filtered coffee was what we got, we weren't offered an option of espresso coffee. The chef cooking to order was in a bad mood & told my husband she was too busy & he'd have to wait over 20 minutes for an omelette (there were only about 12 patrons in the restaurant & he was the only one asking for food!), the remaining items to choose from were tinned fruit, a poor selection of fresh fruit, over cooked hot items & a few pastry items. Ok so we picked an ordinary buffet we thought but then when we were presented with the bill it was $77 in total (they even add a 1.5% credit surcharge). For 2 people for a buffet breakfast. Are you kidding me? For that price I want gourmet buffet but we might as well have gone to McDonalds such was the quality of what was presented & the customer service didn't make up for it either. Never going there again that is for certain. Such a rip off.

Great steak, personalized service, a bit too pricey. Went for my wife's birthday with friends. Had a $400+ bill for a good night out (including drinks). Loved the wagyu steak and crab salad. Also the misses didn't like that she paid $60 for 5 prawns. The staff over heard it was her birthday and came out with strawberrys and chocolate. What a really nice surprise for her big day. All in all a delicious array of eats, but the prices are way up there for a upper middle class family trying to enjoy a special night out. <br/>Food: 10/10<br/>Service: 9/10<br/>Price: 3/10<br/>Return? Unless I hit the lottery any time soon I don't think I'll be returning.

Great food. Had an amazing meal here. Steak & service right up there though atmosphere lacking. Felt rather exposed dining near the hotel lobby. Some plants or screens wouldn't go amiss. Love the knife choice and guided tour through cellar added class.

The entre - scallop was yummy. Steak was oookaaay... We ordered minute steak for my guest who doesnt usually have medium rare steak.. Understand it will be a bit thiner in cut nd more cooked comparing with normal, But it came out almost well done... The highlight and the dish that I would defn go back is the strawberry sundae-must try!

Don't bother about the high tea. I was asked for a sisters birthday at the Hilton for afternoon high tea. parking in the city $35 a head I had expectactions of a good quality devonshire tea. What I got was lukewarm tea - teabag , earl grey but didnt taste like it. Sugary not tasty scones, normal cream-not double cream and very ordinary strawberry jam. I can;t comment on the petit fours - though they looked stale. the sandwiches werent that fresh and were cold form the fridge/freezer.<br/>Concerted efforts got some tea with leaves in it, we were given extra unappetising sweets because of the appalling poor service and long wait nearly an hour for our food. It might seem harsh, but if you say your are doing high tea, you need to do it better than the average suburban coffee shop. you should have great quality tea, scones, cream and jam that is my only expectation to make it really good. But i've had as good at big franchised coffee chains and with better service. really disappointing - certainly no treat
Hilary
High tea. Last minute plans for high tea meant that we didn't have a booking and our chances of getting one wasn't likely on a Saturday. On calling vintaged we were told that we could come in straight away and that they would make fresh scones for us. Service was good but a bit slow at times. The tea selection could have more variety, one of the teas was not available which was disappointing. When the food came out we were told that we were welcome to take home anything we couldn't finish which was nice as it isn't the case at many other places. The scones were a standout and the sandwiches were delicious. The petit fours were a bit hit and miss - they were cold and you could tell they just came out of the fridge. A few misses but for $35 it is great value.

Good, but not great. Booked dinner here with some friends after reading good reviews.<br/>We had a quick drink in the bar before heading to our table in the restaurant. <br/>The waitress who looked after us was helpful and friendly offering good advice about sides etc.<br/>We all ordered entrees and main courses, ours were cooked well and tasted good, no complaints at all about the food or service, but for the money the food lacked a little something.<br/>With so many great restaurants in Brisbane, many of which we still have to try we won't be rushing back to Vintaged.

Excellent Friendly Service. To celebrate a significant family birthday we booked a table for 9am today for 8 people at Lure on Latrobe, unfortunately we were 5 minutes late, herding that many people (aged 85years to 3months) has it's challenges. We waited outside for 5 minutes with people in front of us to be told that our booking had been crossed off! "Did we cancel" was the question, no! What had obviously happened was a group had come in a few minutes earlier and said yes to our booking. We weren't prepared to wait for 30 minutes or more outside for a table so where do we go at late notice?<br/><br/>The Hilton Atrium Cafe was suggested, it had been 20 years or more since we had been there and it has seen lots of changes. Arrived to find that a table for eight would have to be two round tables for four or... the delightful staff member said "lets put you in the private room". Glass walled set up for 20 it was perfect especially with a 2yo and the 3month baby in the party. One of the walls was lined with wine, there would have been a lot of long lunches in this room!<br/><br/>The food was excellent, great variety and quality that you would expect from a 5 star hotel, no charge for children and comparing cafe prices only a 20% premium, we could not be happier.
Howitiz
Like many chain hotel restaurants, it's huge, with generic decor and no atmosphere. It is not a romantic restaurant, more of a birthday/group/function place.<br/>The service was a little amateur, but friendly and helpful, (young waiters). <br/>The food however was brilliant, and I'd be happy to go back. Great flavours, yum!!

Good atmosphere but.... The food was really oily. I went with a group of friends and had similar feedbacks for their dishes. Service was average.

Bad and getting worse. We used to come to the "below 7" bar regularly and really enjoyed great atmosphere and service. That's why we kept coming back!. Since it was refurbished it changed. Been there several times with an interval of a couple of months hoping it got better. No chance! Valentine Day was disappointing again. Such a slow service ! We had to wait for 2 glasses of champagne for 20 minutes and the bar wasn't even full Not even half full, not how it used to be a couple of years ago, when you could walk in and got serviced almost instantly. The waiter showed no interest in servicing us or offering food. Not like we wanted to order any after 20 minutes of waiting for such a simple thing as 2 glasses of champagne. Terrible service , do not bother. The restaurant is not better either. Chefs special's presentation of salmon dish which we tried in July 2013 when we came to celebrate m daughter's 16th birthday was another disappointment, not to mention waiter which was spit on the floor next to me. Don't bother visiting this place! we ended up eating downstairs at East where we got a better and a quicker service even on a busy day 14 of Feb!
Amanda Chard
Terrible service, sub standard food. Don't bother.. Took a group of clients to lunch this past week and we were extremely disappointed with both the service and food. waitress took over 15 mins to bother taking our drink order - let alone food. we ordered mains and sides. sides didn't come so about half way through our meal we asked where they were - waitress was clueless. sides ended up coming as we finished so sent them back. food was very average - salmon was dry, turkey was like one of those turkey logs you get from the supermarket. all up took close to 90mins - for 1 course! for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel they are absolutely hopeless, an embarrassment and over priced. go elsewhere - anywhere. maccas in the wintergarden would have been better value for money and would have better service.
Mischamoomoo
Service slow and terrible at the bar. Pathetic for such a venue
Yumami
Not impressed Hilton. For a Steak restaurant the steak wasn't very good. It just lacked flavour and was fairly dry in comparison to other cuts I've had. Atmosphere of the restaurant lacked character and there were a few odd characters dining there....waiter forgot our side of chips (but ended up getting it taken off the bill)..Overall better for a lunch rather than fancy dinner.
ChantalM
We had not booked on a Saturday Ewing however were seated promptly. That was the best part of the evening. Very slow service started with being given menus with most of the pages missing, food order taken no drinks offered. Asked for drink menu (when could get waiter) ordered drinks which arrived part way through meal. Meals underwhelming and oily. Two meals in correct. Stuffy atmosphere. Won't bother again.
Alison M
Went here for convenience as our friends were staying here. Was mid week so quiet & not much atmosphere however they still managed to deliver the wrong food to our table twice. felt the food was way over priced - much better places to go in Brisbane at that price point.
Manz
Good value for High Tea at $35. Overall the food was nice & above average, leading with the fluffy scones. The sandwiches was both hit & miss (salmon hit, walnut/goat cheese miss). The sweet were mostly tasty, opera was my favourite. Only improvement is a more extensive tea list, otherwise a great way to spend to afternoon with your girlfriends.
Deelicious
Absolutely DEE-licious!?! What a fantastic night!! A combination of amazing company, excellent food, great wine selection and an atmosphere difficult to describe but must simply be experienced!! All menu selections were thoroughly enjoyed by this group and it would be a shame for you not to try this restaurant!! Believe me, it is worth it!! The freshness of the Ozzie grown food is something I have not experienced in much of my food ventures! Glad I came in, you'll be sure to see us back soon!!
Trent Lincoln
Terrible, rude service & no meal to cap it off!. We have eaten at the restaurant probably about half a dozen times and more often than not, the food has been quite good and the service usually ok - good (usually the front of house staff are excellent).<br/><br/>Today, however, we opted to sit in front of the bar (for a change) and ordered a ceasar salad and a chicken sandwich. Forty-five minutes later, after asking twice (the first time the lady snapped "yes??????" when we tried to gain her attention), we walked up to the register and asked if where our meals were. The (duty?) manager was called over, telling us our 'duck' was still coming! We didn't order duck & after re-confirming our order, the manager didn't seem to give a rat's proverbial whether we were going to get our lunch or not. <br/><br/>We told them we were going to leave. Even more lousy, they made us pay for the 2 drinks that we had while we waited the 45mins for a sandwich! We would've had more drinks, but nobody asked us if we wanted another drink!<br/><br/>It was certainly NOT busy in my opinion and we were terribly disappointed by the rude, slow and un-helpful service that we received. <br/><br/>We won't be back. This place could be so much more than it is with decent staff/management that could at least pretend to enjoy their jobs...

Wow. I tried out Vintaged for breakfast when I recently stayed at the refurbished Hilton. I was really impressed. Not only by the ambiance (thanks to the new fitout) but the service was spot-on, there was a fair amount of space between tables and the breakfast buffet was elaborate and fresh. Bottled smoothies to compliment freshly squeezed juice along with omelettes made to order. Even the coffee was good which is rare for a hotel restaurant. The next time that I stay in Brisbane for a long period of time, I am going to check this place out for dinner service. If breakfast is anything to judge it by, I certainly will continue to be impressed.
Mak3upandfood
We go here regularly for breakfast and dinner and it never disappoints! Great food, friendly service and wonderful atmosphere!

Our steaks were cooked perfectly - requested rare for my eye fillet (centre cut) & it was def rare, not bloody and warm throughout. Attentive staff - fine dining service.

Had a dinner with a group of four. Bad experience!! Good customer service but overpriced for a very poor quality of food. I had a kingfish which is completely OFF. I asked another 3of my friends to test and all of us agreed that the meat is sour and stink, i asked the waitress to bring it back to the kitchen after a few minutes she came back and told the fish is definitely fresh then she offered me a salmon instead. There's nothing i can do while all of my in a middle of the meal. After a while the salmon arrived which is alright but only myself eating on the table. All the meals were lack in taste, small portion and only serve with a side of cabbage. My fish does not come with any condiment which is no other taste except Salmon taste. Steak was asked for med-rare but was only half piece right and another was RARE and blooding. Wague Stake mentioned score 7 but wasn't feel like wague at all. Lamb was okay.<br/>Will never go back again for a $70 average per person dinner.

Great steak love. The steak i had was amazing. The staff and atmosphere were perfect!! Would definitely come back again!!!

Loved everything about it, the food the atmosphere and the service. We were in for breakfast buffet, pleanty Of variety to choose from even freshley cooked omelets with ur favourite fillings. Highly recommended for any visitor to Brisbane and any queenslander. If u live in Brisbane and haven't been to vintaged yet then u don't no what ur missing out on

Stark & sterile. Had dinner there last night. OK food but nothing to rave about for the price. What got me though is the sterility of the place. Once there was a skylight here and terraces and greenery - now a big minimalist cold space with some fancy back lighting around the bar. Basically a hotel lobby is like an airport lobby is like a lobby and that's what this felt like dining at - stark impersonal and too large a scale.<br/>Noticed when we were led to our table that empty tables were sitting there dirty and uncleared despite the place being half empty - a lack of class!
Courts
Steak........ more like shoe leather. Had dinner with group of 17 friends last night - I had Waygu as they told me the tenderloin was not good - for $60 it was awful and I left it - had better quality steak the previous evening from Woolies! Whilst the service was good the waiter was a bit too attentive and too personal with his comments. Most of our meals were luke warm and it was clear the kitchen could not deal with a large group. Had to ask for wine glasses to be put on table as they had been taken away because we had brought drinks through from the bar. Those that had the rib fillet said it was good so there was a plus. Wouldn't go back - very overpriced for poor quality

Pleasant Atmosphere. I only had an afternoon drink in their Atrium bar enjoying it in the open air environment. Quiet pleasant.

Luckily Vintaged Bar and Grill at the Hilton in Brisbane City has decided now is the time to release its new Winter menu, and they've got some great blends of all-season foods with a warming kick to them. I was fortunate enough to try out a few new menu gems and promise that there's no way you can leave here unsatisfied. texture with

My lovely lady friend and I decided to catch up before my Sydney break and chose to have a classy little catch up at Vintaged Bar & Grill. Vintaged is located in the Hilton on Elizabeth street. I'm always a little hesitant to eat at hotel restaurants. They can seem a little naff and stuffy. And dated. And uninspired. But when I checked out Vintaged menu online, the menu offered a lot of fresh takes of classic dishes. Plus they had a lunch deal for a main and a glass of wine for $25. A meal AND wine? Sign me up. This is the cool bar area in the lobby area of the restaurant. Once we arrived at the Hilton and made our way up to level 6, we stepped into a spacious atrium with a funky bar area. The ceilings extended high into the building, which kinda gave me vertigo when I looked up. In an awesome way. The restaurant itself sat on the other side of the lobby where the ceiling came much lower, the lighting was dark, intimate and warm. The warm space inside Vintaged. We were seated and since I was on my lunch break, we ordered straight away. We both went with the $25 lunch special as who could pass that up and the selection available was really varied! My fair dining companion chose the Bavette Steak with Creamed Potato and Young Carrots and I went with the Barbecued Ocean Trout with Tahini and Cous Cous Tabbouleh. We had a pinot noir and a sauvignon blanc from the Bay of Shoals Winery...which were delicious! I drink wine cos I'll drink anything but I very rarely can tell the difference between a $20 bottle and a $100 bottle but this wine made me actually ask after the label. So that's good. Salty capsicumy spread and char grilled bread. Yummers! Soon after we ordered, we were bought

Vintaged is a bistro style restaurant having a chef’s hat from the good food guide and it is well deserved with a wide variety of modern Australian dishes celebrating fresh ingredients such as a charcuterie selection of meats, fresh cured salmon, carpaccio of wagyu beef, lamb shoulder to share amongst friends and a selection of meats from the grill. It is a hidden restaurant as it is within the Hotel itself on the sixth floor and only does trade with people in the know missing clientele of people walking by in the Queen Street Mall.

The star of my meal was the slow-cooked lamb shoulder. This was an outstanding dish.

We met at the bar and nibbled on some snacks all present beautifully on cool, dark slate. Marinated whole peppers with a slightly fiery romesco sauce and bitey romano looked exceptionally elegant, serving the pepper whole was actually really smart for canapé situations! Definitely stealing this idea. The jamon serrano wrapped around fig with goats cheese curd and balsamic vinegar was a crowd favourite too.

Dining inside the Hilton Hotel wouldn’t typically come to mind, but after my recent Vintaged Bar and Grill experience it does now. Awarded the prestigious Chef’s Hat at the 2014/2015 brisbanetimes.com.au Queensland Good Food Guide (GFG) Awards for the third time running, Vintaged Bar and Grill’s Executive Chef Jeremy Clark and Sous Chef Dario Fiorino are without doubt dedicated to food excellence. Promising fresh local produce, Vintaged Bar and Grill meats are key features on the menu and it doesn’t stop there.  An impressive cabinet stocks their dry aged meat and an illuminated, Himalayan rock salt wall stands as the backdrop. Directly in front, flames dance as their fine cuts of meat are cooked in the open grill kitchen creating a culinary theatre for diners.  The best seat to view the show is at the interactive Chef’s Table which is available for group bookings. Whether you appreciate wine or not, another standout is the glass walled Wine Room which stocks a drooling 1,000 bottle co

I've been waiting to dine at this place for a while now. I havent found any mind blowing steaks in Brisbane and thought I should give this a try. The restaurant is located in the main reception area of the Hilton hotel that has received a makeover in the last couple of years. The restaurant is modern and very clean looking with nice wine cellar with glass walls to drool over the wine within. I ordered the wagyu carpaccio for my entree and the  dry aged rib eye on the bone for my main. My other half ordered the pork belly for the entree and wagyu rump.  The steaks are suggested to be served at medium-rare as all good steak should be served, so we thought we would go with the flow. The wagyu carpaccio with the truffle dressing and capers was perfectly seasoned. The beef was thinly sliced and the truffle dressing added a earthy layer and the capers add that nice saltiness to the dish. The dish is very light and a great starter but I wish there was a little more. The crispy skinned porkbel

The first time I went to Vintaged with SC we had a great meal that we really enjoyed, but this was for dinner. As a recipient of a coveted Brisbane Times Good Food Guide chefs hat, Vintaged has a big reputation to uphold. A big part of maintaining the chefs hat is being consisten with all aspects of the meal and not just relying on a strong steak offering. The Hilton is an international hotel with many international guests, if Brisbane is to continue to develop a worldwide reputation as a gastronomical destination, then it is crucial Vintaged shine and only time will tell.

...Everyone's favourite was the opera square as it is filled with chocolate and coffee goodness...I particularly enjoyed the crab and salmon and the chicken mustard sandwiches. The flavour was great. However, the goat curd sandwich was difficult to stomach and most people who I went with left that behind. <br/>All in all, the high tea was decently priced and the food quite enjoyable and it was a great afternoon spent at the Hilton's...

I felt like I had walked into ‘Back to the Future’ when I finally saw the Hilton refurbishment earlier this year. What was once a 80’s inspired, \a drab foyer is now a grand, modern, stunning lobby fit for a king. And the best part about it is the hotel’s restaurant, Vintaged Bar + Grill. With a wine room the size of my apartment and Himalayan rock salt insulated fridge for the abundance of cured meats, I knew was going to like this place. You can’t go wrong with one of their steaks, or if you want to eat like a king on a budget, they have $20 lunch specials including a huge, delicious Rueben sandwich and a glass of wine. Price: lunch special – $20 or a steak with trimmings will cost about $40.
A Matter Of Taste
New $35 dinner menu was a great excuse to finally visit Vintaged Bar Grill . Available Sunday to Friday between 5 – 9pm, the menu features 6 signature specials accompanied by a glass of wine, craft beer or a soft drink.

Hilton’s Vintaged Bar Grill is offering two new set menus for lunch and dinner featuring six signature mains accompanied by a glass of wine or craft beer. Valued at $25 for lunch and $35 for dinner, the set menus are available Sunday to Friday between 12-3pm (lunch), and 5-9pm (dinner). Vintaged Bar Grill  and KDPR invited several guests to sample the $35 dinner menu and their range of desserts last week, and it was a blast! Guests got the option to sit either at the Chef’s Table or the Wine Table, a 5.5m long communal dining table with an end-to-end ice well illuminated by LEDs perfect for wine tastings and faces the dedicated wine room with its impressive 1000 bottle wine collection. I got to sit up at the Chef’s Table in front of the open grill (where all the action was happening) and the dry aged meat cabinet with its illuminated Himalayan rock salt feature. Fresh olive loaves and butter 250g Black Angus beef sirloin with triple cooked chips, bearnaise and salad Pumpkin cannelloni
Dolce Bunnie
Y esterday marked the third day of my birthday week (eek, what a painful word to say). You see, I get special treatment from the other travel bunny during my birthday month and particularly during the week leading up to my birthday, not that I don't get treated like a bunny princess any other day of the year, but every year in May, I get extra attentions and extra cuddles. So yesterday we decided to go to Vintaged for lunch. Vintaged is a one chef-hat restaurant located on level 6 of the newly refurbished Hilton. Its sleek and open interior provides a comfortable dining setting. Currently there's a lunch promotion on for $20 and you get to choose a main from their set menu which also comes with bread of the day and a drink (wine or beer). Our lunch, beer battered fish of the day w' chips and steak sandwich took no time to arrive and they were tasty. I felt like they were a lil' skimpy on the fish but it was suffice for a lunch meal. Right in front of Vintaged's glass-walled cellar, you

I checked the high tea menu on their website and read they served 'Vintaged Tea'. Oh cool! WOW! They have their own blend of tea? :D *Excited*

Whatever time of the day or evening, Vintaged offers a welcome escape from the hubub of the Queen Street Mall and a classy alternative to the many over-priced, ho-hum food options in the Queen Street Mall and surrounds.

The food at Vintaged Bar and Grill was good but I don't think it necessarily had outstanding steak. The atmosphere was very nice and I think this would be great for an elegant occasion or even an upmarket corporate function. I liked the dry aged steak best out of everything we tried.
Odo
Modern and luxurious restaurant located at the lobby of the Hilton. Minimalistic style, relax, not too busy. Classic steakhouse menu, no hats for Vintaged

I never guessed that finding a decent burger joint in Brisbane was going to be a difficult task. Completely different situation than the one in Melbourne where the options were plenty, with Wagyu burgers in every corner, and a couple Burger Bloggers to steer your hunt for the perfect patty. So without any help I started my quest for the golden patty
Eat Drink And Be Kerry
Inspired by the current cold weather, I’m fast becoming a comfort food queen and, for me, nothing says it more than a warming cooked breakfast. The sort of breakfast that sticks to your sides taking you through to dinner with just a few snacks along the way – okay I’m not perfect! Hilton Executive Chef Jeremy Clark is a man who understands breakfast and the pure joys of simple food that brings back memories that warm the heart as well as the stomach.  He’s taken some tips from his days working under award-winning Sydney chef Serge Dansereau, to create a new dish crammed full of breakfast protein. Served with a Lyonnaise sausage and two poached eggs, it’s a great way to start the day.   I particularly liked the Lyonnaise sausage as it oozed meaty flavour without any unnecessary extra garlic or flavouring.  It’s the sort of sausage that you’ll enjoy eating and not remember eating it all through the day, if you know what I mean. The Hilton’s buffet breakfast also includes all the componen
