I had dinner there a few weeks ago with two friends and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We ordered a few appetisers to share and we didn’t manage to finish.
The cheese with honey was so good - a very different flavour. Loved the beef tartare as well, the beef was fresh as it was meant to be. And don’t get me started on the mushrooms and the cauliflower.
Everything was just great!
Great little place. Friendly and willing to help us. Small but adequate menu and awesome cocktails with a flexible range of atmospheres. I had the APO burger which was perfect.

I really love Apo and first came here after I saw the steak deal on zomato but didn’t end up going for the steak haha I love that they have great wine choices and the aperol ice poles. The bread and butter is amazing and I could just order that all night - sounds weird but you need to try it!!
The Fried chicken is always juicy and delicious, the sides are tasty, drinks are yummy and the atmosphere is relaxed. We always enjoy coming here.
Having recently gone to Gerards to enjoy quite a delightful (and last) breakfast, I had made a note to go and try out The APO which is run by the same owners as Gerards and conveniently also situated at fortitude valley. . Making a lunch reservation for the 12, we were the first ones there. Faced with the option for indoors and outdoors at the back, I naturally took the inside option. Despite the abundance of natural light from outside, it was still a little dim for my liking.
Had previously only had a drink here but first time dining in the restaurant. Service was very friendly and quick. Food was quite tasty too. The ambience is really friendly and relaxing. Will
Be back.
We came here for lunch on the weekend. I was very impressed by the very reasonably priced lunch options. We had the meatball baguettes and they didn't look like much, but tasted delicious. Really great décor too. Very stylish without feeling uncomfortable. Will definitely return.
After reading all about this Valley eatery/bar since it opened we have been keen to try it out. We finally made it there after a little shopping in the city.
The food was excellent, really enjoyed that but unfortunately the service didn’t quite match the great food, while friendly enough it just wasn’t attentive enough for what they are trying to achieve. The service (or lack of) wouldn’t deter us from revisiting, but with so many great places to try I doubt we’ll be back any time soon.
A five for the food, but three for service.
Set in a heritage listed building, the APO is brought to you by renowned Moubment group (Gerard's et al). The atmosphere and service was fantastic! The food and drinks were as expected...simple and complex at the same time. The menu was a modern and refined take on Lebanese food and we tried everything on it. The bread came with a delicious onion caramel butter. The Lebanese goat taco was a group favourite and the smoked tartare was the perfect way to awaken the taste buds. Another crowd pleaser was the fried chicken. I could eat a bowl of these every day! The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender with a light crunchy crumb on the outside. I love that it was served deboned and came with a tangy, chilli and yogurt sauce which complemented the whole dish. The steak was handled beautifully too. We had a bottle of the Grenache and Pinot Noir, both wines paired very well with the dishes. The pineapple pisco sour and espresso martinis were delicious. The summer negroni was a clever twist on a classic. Will be coming back very soon!
If you come and dine at the Apo you have to order the fried chicken and goat tacos - they've got me wanting to go back already! Definitely go with a group of friends and try all the dishes because they're all beautifully presented and delicious.
