Had a mini birthday party in a group of four at this in-house restaurant at Novotel near Southbank not long ago. Ambience is good and service is hospital.
After perusal of the menu, we decided to have tapa style by ordering a few dishes to share among us. We placed the order of “Four Pillar” gin cured ocean trout, chargrilled Moreton bay bug, charcuterie broad, golden snapper, Borrowdale pork chop and the ink linguine.
Dishes gradually came to our table. We could not pick up which one is the best because they are average over the standard. Taste is well balanced. The freshness of the seafood and high quality of other protein reflect the chef’ passion in serving a menu with foods are something different and more interesting than we can have in other restaurant.

After numerous times dining with these guys and on separate occasions, I keep coming away mesmerised by the value for money in their offerings. On each occasion, we ordered their Ocean Tasting coursed menu which remained consistent throughout!
An amazing venue coupled with knowledgeable staff that are passionate about their offerings and who seem always on the ball equals a winner in my eyes. Talk about wines, champagnes and spirits, all of which are also presented to a high standard. Recommended!

Great place. the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and did a good job highlighting the difference between the different steak. I had the rib eye and it was very nice.
Wow! We visited Spice Central restaurant for a birthday dinner and were blown away by the quality of the food, incredible wines and friendly service. The food is seriously 5 star quality - do not miss this restaurant if in the area.
After a long day of working hard, we went to a relaxing spot in the new Novotel Hotel in South bank to escape the hustle and bustle 😊. What we had: . Starting off with a glass of sparkling 😉 . I absolutely love mushrooms for entrees. Something totally flavourful and light.
Open a few weeks next to the Novotel lobby, this spacious restaurant has views of Musgrave Park. Various beef, seafood & vegetarian dishes and side orders. Very good service & high quality presentation was apparent. Dishes tried incl delicious & tender squid with
house made harissa, roast pumpkin & spiced yoghurt and beetroot/goat cheese salad. Spice was evident but not overwhelming. A good wine list & coffee of high standard recommend. Desert was hard to resist with creme brulee, chocolate tart & other delights. Great venue for lunch/dinner or buffet breakfast whether a guest or visitor.
