Quickly stopped in here for a late night snack and was greeted by very friendly staff. My friend and I shared a nachos and it was simple but in the best way possible. Happy that it had beans in it. This place is always busy and has a cool vibe!
A friendly waitress accompanied us to our table and brought the menus. When we where ready to order it took a while to get in contact with the staff, a bit stange since it was very few guests at the time. But when she came over she where very friendly and brought the drinks out very fast. We had 3 different meals. All where very good. The food seems fresh and was presented in a delicate manner. A nice and cozy place where I gladly return.
I would like to give this place 5 stars for their steak meals. Twice now in the last couple of months I have had an amazing steak. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good steak in Brissy.
Food here is good - but the service is outstanding - experienced, polite, and very helpful. Food has large portion sizes but it is not always of the highest standard. Great for a lunch do, or for a weekend out to watch some sport on their TV's.
Been here for a drink and a snack. Had a lovely evening with an amazing view of the city hall. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good
Had dinner here with my boss and colleagues tonight and our food was great! I had the gnocchi with roasted tomatoes, spinach, buttered porcini mushrooms and asiaga - wow wow wow, beautifully cooked gnocchi, pillows of goodness with clean, simple flavours that explode in your mouth. Service was excellent, ambience was bustling, really good live music and front row seats to the Christmas light show in King George Square! Will absolutely go back and try the Slow Cooked Guiness and Steak pie.
Good honest yummy food as usual not over priced and quick friendly service. I had the lamb salad fresh and tastey. Brooke had the pork belly the crackling was good and was not too fatty only negative is it could have been a bit more. Nev had the steak sandwich quite nice value for money. Joh rump skewers was an enjoyable meal all in all we will return again
Went for dinner last night and it was full inside and out but staff were still attentive. There wasn't a long wait on our food and all meals were great
We just had a Xmas drinks get together there yesterday afternoon and well done pig n whistle!! The drinks are a little pricey, but the food platter were great and well enjoyed by everyone!!
The Ol' piggy whis! I go here every time I come up from Sydney. It's arguably the best traditional British pub in Sydney. Having just moved back from London, this is exactly what I needed for a little sweet nostalgia. My first trip here was during the Wanderers v Roar grand final, and I came the night before for Spurs v West Ham in the premier league, watching on the big screen outside. It felt like being in a pub pre match over there, there was chanting, a bit of bants, and a little bit of angst... All in good nature, of course.
Absolutely loved it!
The beef and Guinness pie was delicious, and it was complimented perfectly with a pint of the black stuff.
If you enjoy a nice ale, a hearty pub meal, and some great bar conversation, this is definitely worth a look.
Ideal spot for standard western pub food and drinks. I ordered a Di Carne pizza along with beers. I felt that the food was reasonably priced and had decent portions but drinks were pushing slightly higher prices. I also thought it was weird they didn't bother slicing the olives? Kind of thought that was a bear minimum thing.
I had a surprisingly good time and thoroughly made use of the dance floor which had a decent music selection. Overall, a really good location to hangout in large groups with a meal and drinks. However, don't expect to make any decent conversation if you're going at night, it gets EXTREMELY loud indoors- mostly because they play overbearingly loud music at times.
My complaints are that the tables were grimy and sticky and the lighting was ridiculously low in the dining areas, making it difficult to read. Also they don't have any menus or even QR codes for you to scan and get the menu. I think they just expected you to figure out that you needed to Google their menu which was weird.
With that being said I had heaps of fun and couldn't recommend it more for group outings.
A traitional British pub where they serve pub meals. This place is great nighlift and most importantly they have live sport & EPL.
Great British style pub in Riverside area of Brisbane. The food was delicious and service was very prompt despite it being a very busy Friday night.
I was very happy with the service, they went above and beyond with getting my order and drink right. Once the food came out OMG the garlic bread how tantalizing and full of cheese 🤤 then the main, oh how the sausages were juicy and flavourful. I was mainly coming here for the Yorkshire pudding but I was happy to spend my birthday here for dinner.
Thank you for a filling and perfect British meal
Great pub, heaps of space for all size groups, inside on bench tables, comfy booths or out it one of the two large beer gardens under the shade of the umbrellas. Huge range of beers and drinks and a range of great food from English and Irish classics to Aussie pub favourites.
Just went for a drink after we had dinner, the place was busy, but we got a table outside, then went inside where it was warmer because the heaters weren't on outside.
Drinks were reasonably priced.
