We often come here on a Wednesday night for the trivia and have dinner. The food has always been surprisingly good. I really like the pizzas, the dough is really nice and they are wood fired which gives them a good flavour (I wish you could get the Hawaiian at night time though, it seems to be lunch only). The onion rings and parmigiana is good and the burgers are okay, the inter burger would have been a lot better if it wasn't on brioche, it's already quite rich so it doesn't need the sweet bun.
Surprisingly good. A different take on a pub style menu. A bit more creative. And the portion sizes are enormous. Great place for a family meal or for fussy men who like a good feed.
The ol trusty international. It's my local and its a pleasant mix of young professional and older, perhaps more serious, drinkers. Still - its charming. The food is good and the beer reasonably priced and its never too loud and super super busy. Can get pretty packed on trivia night, but its usually a good place to have a social drink without the mentalness of the Valley or the city.
Hadn't been here for a couple of years. Really like the new microbrewery beers on tap and the more styles on offer than used to be the case. Food is good pub fair and I wish it was my local.

New menu is an ever improving upgrade from the previously already satisfying pub style menu. A little bit confusing as there are two menus with heaps of choices but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The pizzas are delicious and amazing value and I have to definitely return to try a few of the new healthier options from chicken breast to haloumi salad. Sounds delish! The whole venue seems to be undergoing some pleasant makeover, the next big step would be to get rid of those hideous chairs and create an atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area that matches the quality of the food.
The good here has gone from good to awesome ! Great value and creative menu with some decent flavours from around the world. 8.5/10
Good. The restaurant portion of the International Hotel I've found to be a bit over priced for the food you get. The pub menu is great value however, tasty classics that time never forgot.

Unbelievable food and underpriced. Dropped in for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their menu and service. It wasn't until my meal was delivered that I realised what a gem I had stumbled across. I believe they recently changed chefs and the menu reflects that. No longer a 'pub bistro meal' but a boutique brewery serving divine dishes. Meals are on average $20 which is a bargain considering the size and flavor delivered.

Total surprise. With just an hour to kill at 3.30 on tuesday afternoon my wife and i ventured into the International looking for a quick bite. There were literally only 2 other patrons at the bar. We ordered bruschetta (having developed an afinity for it as a quick bite alternative ) and some wedges. Both were served in good time and i would give a 10/10 for presentation. The brushetta was served on a wood board with the topping in a seperate bowl. The bread was perfectly prepared and the topping a delicious blend of tomato, fetta, salad greens and balsamic. I could easily live on this..by far the best bruschetta either of us have had! Wedges were crispy and seasoned nicely... sour cream and guacamole servings were too small and i think the guac came out of a bottle but adequate in flavour. Value for money and service also 10/10.
I had a pint of Belgian Gold (?) beer made in house in the micro brewery on site.. Super nice and one of the best beers i've had! As a retal and restuarant designer i am always keen to check out the design of restaurants. The International is perfectly renovated .. a great blend of authentic original features and slick furniture and fittings... We will definitely be venturing back to try more of the menu.
